Americans for Truth About Homosexuality’s D- List hate group leader (and Hair Club for Men member) “Porno” Peter LaBarbera is in an absolute tizzy over the fact that his days as a professional gay basher are coming to an end.

In a recent “editorial” Porno Pete laments:

Big Gay Inc. is also in the vanguard of pushing Christians and moral-minded people out of the Public Square. Central to its ability to transform society’s mores is its drive to silence and discredit opposing views…Their Orwellian strategy is working. The collapse of America’s Judeo-Christian moral consensus has been as swift as it is stunning. Consider this: Just six decades and a few years ago, homosexuality was such a taboo that Harry Hay, an early “gay” activist who conceived of the idea of homosexuals as a “minority” (like racial minorities), could hardly find enough open homosexuals in the nation to join him in forming a “homophile” rights group (Source: “The Trouble with Harry Hay,” by Stuart Timmons).

Fast forward to today: fanatical homosexual activists like Wayne Beesen of “Truth Wins Out,” which pressured Tebow to cancel the appearance at Jeffress’ “hate church” (Besen’s smear term; he also called it a “bigot church), and then applauded him for doing so – now fight to make opposition to homosexuality taboo. The homosexual lobby is working to ban pro-heterosexual change therapy, and “gay” militants and lawyers insist that their newfangled “LGBT rights” trump even religious freedom when the two collide, as they invariably do.”

Well the awesome “fanatical homosexual activist” Wayne Besen of Truth Wins Out along wiht debunking everything that LaBarbera said also offered some career advice for the gay hating has-been nerver-was : “

It appears that even this stalwart homo-hater, who slithers around gay  porn palaces and scurries about licentious leather bars looking for smut to post on his prurient website, knows the end is near. It is clear  that there is a shrinking market for professional gay bashers and one  can only hope he polishes off his cracker-thin resume and finds a new  gig before it is too late. Since he has so much experience visiting the  tubs in Chicago, and is likely a familiar face, maybe they will be kind  and offer him an exciting, new opportunity cleaning the cubicles.”

Keep up your great  “fanatical homosexual activism” Wayne!   We need more like you and less of the lame politically correct bullshit that Gay Inc. tosses around that has absolutly no power and makes all the impact of of powder-puff

 

Truth Wins Out’s Wayne Besen Bitchslaps FRC’s Peter Sprigg On CNN – Video

CNN’s Carol Costello and the awesome Wayne Besen of Truth Wins Out laid into Peter Sprigg from the Family Research Council during a discussion about anti-gay Pastor Louie Giglio stepping down from the Inauguration.

Besen did what LGBT advocates should have been doing for years in television inteveiws with the likes of hate group bigots like Sprigg who have no real legitmate reason to be on the news commenting on LGBT issues  and did not sit quietly by and let him spew his anti-gay lies and propaganda.  Instead Besen called Sprigg and the FRC out on thier hateful comments and rhetoric and Carol Costello to her credit did her job by following up on Wayne’s comments and trying not to allow Sprigg to weasle out of his answers.  (Note that Sprigg doesn’t attempt to deny his calls for the imprisonment and deportation of gay Americans.)

SPRIGG: The world we live in, unfortunately, is increasingly marked by the enforcement of intolerance in the name of tolerance, exclusion in the name of inclusion, and forced uniformity in the name of diversity. It’s contradictory, it’s downright Orwellian, and yet people actually make these statements, unbelievably, with a straight face. […]

BESEN: Peter, I find it ironic that you’re embracing diversity. I mean you called for the imprisonment of gay people and said we should export homosexuals out of the United States and suddenly you’re for tolerance? I’m a little confused here.

SPRIGG: [silent laughter] Well this is about Pastor Giglio and President Obama, it’s not about me.

The HRC and other LGBT advocates and spokespeople should take a lesson from Wayne Besen when it comes to being interviewed on the news.

NOTE: The September poll that Sprigg quotes that he says “found that 52% of people think LGBT relationships are a sin” is from Lifeway Research, an  evangelical research company and just released new data has found that only 37% of Christian respondents indicated that they found homosexuality to be a sin.  Peter must have missed this update, or he ignored it because it’s not good for his business.

Gov. Jerry Brown Signs Bill Banning ‘Ex-Gay’ Therapy For LGBT Youth In California

California Gov. Jerry Brown has signed legislation that will ban “reparative”ex-gay therapy on anyone under the age of 18 in that state

The bill, SB 1172, prohibits such treatment, and any practitioner who does engage in such procedures will be subject to discipline by their licensing board.

“This bill bans non-scientific ‘therapies’ that have driven young people to depression and suicide. These practices have no basis in science or medicine and they will now be relegated to the dustbin of quackery,” Brown said in a statement to The San Francisco Chronicle.

“This is a historic day that protects LGBT youth from child abuse disguised as genuine therapy,” said Truth Wins Out’s Executive Director Wayne Besen. “We thank Gov. Brown for signing legislation that can serve as a model for similar bills across the nation.”

The law goes into effect January 1, 2013.

The PBS show In the Life, the longest-running LGBT television program in history airing a segment that focuses on Truth Wins Out John Becker who went undercover last spring to Marcus Bachmann’s clinic to expose Bachman’s use of “ex-gay therapy”.

On a personal note I’s like to say that I  know John Becker personally, he’s an excellent jounalist, a highly dedicated LGBT activist and a wonderful human being.  It’s truly an honor to know him.

This video is well worth the watch.

Marcus Bachmann Backs Down On Demanding Payments From Reporter Who Exposed His Ex-Gay Conversion Practice

Last month Back2Stonewall reported on how Marcus Bachman called Truth Wins Out UberCutie reporter and Communication’s Director John Becker who exposed Bachmann’s “gay conversion” therapy practice  demanding  $150 bucks that Bachmann claims Becker owes him for not showing up for two “anti-gay” therapy sessions that Becker cancelled after his piece was written.

Well after a cease-and-desist letter from Truth Wins Out,  and a Change.org petition that gathered more than 4,000 signatures demanding that Bachmann “stop the stupid”.  

A voice message, left by a Bachmann & Associates’ billing representative,  has now informed John Becker, that “[his] account is at a zero balance” and that the charges were written off “per Marcus Bachmann orders”

A few days ago we reported how Ms. Marcus Bachman herself called Truth Wins Out UberCutie reporter John Becker over a measly $150 bucks that Bachmann claims Becker owes him for not showing up for two “anti-gay” therapy sessions that Becker did indeed call to cancel after he went undercover at Bachmann’s re-education center clinic and posting his story about Bachmann’s  sham reparative therapy practice.

Well Truth Wins Out’s lawyers have sent  Marcia a scathing letter telling him to stop harassing Becker with threats of sending the bill to a collections agency.

Here are the best parts from an oh so withering letter sent to Marcus Bachmann & Associates, Inc. by Norm Kent, Esquire, lawyer for Truth Wins Out.

You have personally called my client demanding he remit immediate payment to Bachmann & Associates in the amount of $150.00 for cancelled appointments. In truth and in fact, these so called appointments were timely canceled pursuant to and in compliance with your clinic’s stated procedures.

According to Bachmann & Associates’ no-show policy, patients are assessed a $75 fee for each appointment that they miss without giving prior notification. Becker’s telephone records indicate that he called the clinic in early July to cancel his remaining sessions, giving Bachmann & Associates ample time to schedule appointments with other clients…

To be quite frank, in reputable and ethical mental health practices, the billing department usually handles collections. We are gravely concerned that you contacted my client out of spite, because he disclosed the truth about the discredited and outmoded techniques practiced in your office, instead exposing the way you misled the public- by denying that this “therapy” was even taking place…

Accordingly, should you take any action against Mr. Becker, we will also allege that your actions constitute a purposeful and malicious prosecution, albeit for a ridiculously small stipend. We will be interested in the civil discovery process to find out from you in a deposition how often you personally call up clients to collect on an alleged $150 debt. Your answer under oath will be most probative.-

It appears that the goal of your unwarranted attacks is to publicly defame and discredit Mr. Becker and impugn his reputation by portraying him as a deadbeat unwilling to pay his bills.

As you know, the American Psychiatric Association says that attempts to alter one’s sexual orientation can lead to “anxiety, depression, and self-destructive behavior.” Truth Wins Out has conclusively documented your office engaging in this discredited “therapy” while masquerading it as treatment.

If you go forward with your claim, we are prepared to show that your clinic’s presentations and practices are specious and surreptitious, unworthy of financial compensation. In furtherance of our assertion, we are going to ask the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General to investigate your policies, practices, and procedures. Specifically, we are going to ask them to evaluate the purported ‘scientific’ basis for your patently false representations that your clinic offers ‘therapeutic’ services

Therefore, we hereby demand that you immediately cease and desist from your harassment and intimidation of my client and his employer. Please do not embarrass yourself or your firm further by attempting to collect a debt that you are not owed for a point you cannot make

According to the letter Bachmann has 72 hours to dismiss his claim against Becker and that if he doesn’t, Kent will “engage counsel and institute appropriate legal actions of our own against your firm”

What will Ms Marcia Bachmann do? 

Only the next 72 hours will tell.  But if she’s smart she’ll gird her loins and suck it up.  I’m sure it won’t be the first time after being married to Michele.
