The last thing someone posting as Rusty Houser posted on Facebook was in 2013, when he linked to an article called “A woman’s place in the church and the weak church elder.” He wrote, “The bible doesn’t ask me to like what it says, only to obey it. Death comes soon to the financially failing filth farm called the US.” He only had two things liked on Facebook, among them “I hate liberals!” In addition, a John Russell Houser from Phenix City, Alabama, is listed as a member of a group called the Tea Party Nation. However, KATC could not confirm if this John Russell Houser is one in the same with the shooter.
Local police are calling Houser a “drifter from Alabama” who had been living in a nearby hotel since early this month and is reported to have an “old” criminal history.
So why is Houser being referred to as a “troubled” gunman and not a terrorist?
Because he is a white American. And no doubt a republican heterosexual Christian at that.
Right Wing Watch reports that speaking yesterday at a presidential candidate forum in Iowa, Ted Cruz pulled out some extreme rhetoric when he warned those in attendance of a gay “jihad” against marriage and religious liberty.
One of the most anti-gay members of Congress Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-KS) has a lot on his plate what with hating gays, hanging out with Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council and being “family values” and all. But now Huelskamp has something else to worry about as one of his staffers has been busted on 17 counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
A staffer for a Kansas congressman is in jail charged with 17 counts of sexual exploitation of a child. Matthew P. Pennell was arrested on Thursday. Pennell was arrested following an investigation by the Dodge City Police Department and members of the Internet Crimes Against Children task force. The case has been filed with the Ford County Attorney’s office. His bond is set at $75,000. Congressman Tim Huelskamp Office issued this response to the allegations: “Upon learning of his arrest, the Office immediately placed Mr. Pennell on Leave Without Pay until further notice. Because this is an ongoing investigation, we are unable to provide further comment at this time.” – Mark Kelly, Chief of Staff, Office of Congressman Tim Huelskamp.

The Star Tribune of Minneapolis upset many readers this week by running an anti-transgender ad paid for by the Minnesota Child Protection League. The ad urges parents to contact Minnesota State High School League officials ahead of a meeting later this week and ask them not to approve a new policy that would allow transgender students to participate in athletics based on their gender identity.
The MCPL is described as “A group of veteran religious right and tea party activists” who were active opposing the anti-bullying Safe and Supportive Schools Act before it was signed into law. The group’s lead spokesperson is Barb Anderson (picture above) , founder of the Parents Action League who once said, “The greatest threat to our freedom and the health and well-being of our children is from this radical homosexual agenda that is just so pervasive.”

Fridays gathering of of the Family Research Councils evangelical conservatives hate group’s Values Voter Summit started off with a quartet of crazies straight from central casting with Michele Bachmann. Ted Cruz, Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin and Rand Paul all taking the stage the first day and all of them rebuking an unpopular President Barack Obama while skirting divisive social issues.
“Oh, the vacuum of American leadership we see in the world,” Texas Sen. Ted (Shut the Goverment down) Cruz declared. “We need a president who will speak out for people of faith, prisoners of conscience. How do we win? We defend the values that are American values,” Cruz said. “We stand for life. We stand for marriage. We stand for Israel.”
Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul echoed the theme in a speech describing America as a nation in “spiritual crisis.””Not a penny should go to any nation that persecutes or kills Christians,” said Paul, who like Cruz is openly considering a 2016 presidential bid.
Michele (Crazy Eyes) Bachmann took the stage and cracked a few jokes at the top, including a dig at MSNBC and a wonder of whether Nancy Pelosi or John Boehner would miss her more.
She talked up her strong stand against the Obama administration, especially on foreign policy. Bachmann said Obama is “the first anti-Israel president in history.” And as for Clinton, Bachmann recommended another goal for the former Secretary of State to accomplish: “permanent retirement!”
Bachmann also talked about how to combat the threat of ISIS. She called this “spiritual warfare” that can only be resolved with strong military action. Bachmann said, “You kill their leader. You kill their council. You kill their army until they wave the white flag of surrender.”
But it was Sarah Palin who took the stage at the Values Voter Summit to much pomp and circumstance, mocking President Barack Obama for his now-infamous “latte salute” and telling tthe audience to uphold the values she said liberals and the “lamestream media” have tossed aside.
“The media is trying to say our basic core values divide, how about truth and liberty and opportunity and life. … Do they divide?”
The part pep talk, part lunatic rant the usual right wing rhetoric “why are the liberals so intolerant?” and “do you think it’s time to abolish the IRS?” with Palin making a fool of herself once again by getting the of the White House wrong, referring to “1400 Pennsylvania Avenue” (it’s 1600).
Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) took to the House floor on Friday afternoon to offer a Third Reich comparison that was bizarre even for Third Reich comparisons..
After saying that Christians like himself really “love homosexuals,” Gohmert complained of being persecuted by LGBT Nazis!
So it is amazing that in the name of liberality, in the name of being tolerant, this fascist intolerance has arisen. People that stand up and say, you know, I agree with the majority of Americans, I agree with Moses and Jesus that marriage was a man and a woman, now all of a sudden, people like me are considered haters, hate mongers, evil, which really is exactly what we’ve seen throughout our history as going back to the days of the Nazi takeover in Europe. What did they do? First, they would call people “haters” and “evil” and build up disdain for those people who held those opinions or religious views or religious heritage. And then the next came, well, those people are so evil and hateful, let’s bring every book that they’ve written or has to do with them and let’s start burning the books, because we can’t tolerate their intolerance.

If I call — if I say negro or black boy or slave, I’m not — if those people cannot take those kind of words and not be offended, then Martin Luther King hasn’t got his job done then yet. They should be able to — I should be able to say those things and they shouldn’t offend anybody. I didn’t mean to offend them.
Perhaps someone should “splain” to Bundy WHY Dr. Martin Luther King didn’t finish “his job….” It’s because he was SHOT by a racist bigot like him!

Meanwhile old Frothy Mix himself, Rick “Man on Dog” Santorum took to Twitter and played the “I told you so card” claiming that he totally predicted that gay marriage would lead to Utah to legalize unmarried cohabitation.
I wonder why Ms. Perkins, Santorum and Brietbart didn’t cite the actual Bible. Oh, that’s right. The Bible actually advocates very heavily for polygamy which the ruling didn’t legalize anyway.
