Last night hundreds of fabulously dressed people took to the streets of the East Village in NYC.
The NYC Drag March starting Tompkins Square Park in the East Village and ending in front of the Stonewall Inn was going swimmingly until a group started to chant: “We’re here. We’re Queer. “We’re Coming For Your Children.”
What the actual fuck? I mean really. Do these people not watch the news or are they just so privileged in their own little safe NYC LGBTQ+ bubble that they don’t care?
Other than those few moments of stupidity the march was enjoyed by all. But they just gave our enemies more ammunition to use against us.
We understand sarcasm and snark. The other side does not.

GLAAD has officially ended the usage of their full name, the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation as not to alienate transsexuals. So from now on they will be known just by their old letters GLAAD.
“It is a natural progression that reflects the work GLAAD’s staff is already leading,” said [spokesman Wilson] Cruz. “We respect and honor the full name that the organization was founded with, but GLAAD’s work has expanded beyond fighting defamation to changing the culture. Our commitment to marriage equality, employment nondiscrimination, and other LGBT issues is stronger than ever, and now our name reflects our work on transgender issues as well as our work with allies.”

Remember two years ago the Gay and Lesbian Task Forced dropped the “gay” and “lesbian” to just the Task Force.
It is a very sad day when the words Gay and Lesbian are deemed inappropriate so a “company” can brand itself to be more mainstream and inclusive to make more money.
But perhaps in a way its a good thing.
After all what intelligent, self-respecting gay, lesbian, or transsexual wants to be associated with a bunch of gAy-list ass kissing starfuckers.
The LGBT community has been delivered another slap in the face by President Obama and the White House as its been revealed that “Pastor” Louis Giglio, who will deliver the benediction prayer at President Obama’s second inauguration is a fire and brimstone preacher who has delivered anti-gay sermons that make Rick Warren look pro-gay and has denounced the LGBT community with quotes from Leviticus and demands that Christians fight against LGBT equality. Giglio is also a supporter of the “ex-gay” movement, saying that “the only way out of a homosexual lifestyle, the only way out of a relationship that has been engrained over years of time, is through the healing power of Jesus.”
An excerpt from Giglio’s “Christian training speech” titled In Search of a Standard – Christian Response to Homosexuality:
(9:20) [God] says very clearly in [Leviticus], verse 22, after he talks about a lot of different kinds of relationships, he says in verse 22: “You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female. It is an abomination.” Now if you would look forward into the New Testament context, to the passage that most of us know most commonly with this issue, into chapter one of the book of Romans, let’s read a few verses together beginning in verse 18. If you’re taking notes tonight, you might make this the note of Leviticus 20:13 and the book of Jude, we won’t look at those passages but there is some support and encouragement there to this topic.
(17:37) Men, women, I can’t say anything other to you tonight than this, that if you look at the counsel of the word of God, Old Testament, New Testament, you come quickly to the conclusion that homosexuality is not an alternate lifestyle… homosexuality is not just a sexual preference homosexuality is not gay, but homosexuality is sin. It is sin in the eyes of God, and it is sin according to the word of God. You come to only one conclusion: homosexuality is less than God’s best for his creation. If you want to hear God’s voice, that is his voice to this issue of homosexuality. It is not ambiguous and unclear. It is very clear.

UPDATE: Louie Giglio, who had been announced as the pastor to give the invocation at the has now pulled himself out of the ceremony, after criticism of his previous anti-gay comments and actions, sources confirmed to ABC News
But the fact still stands the Obama Administration and Inauguration Committee DID invite Giglio and this is the and this is the difference between the Republicans who get to be president and the Democrats. And the Democratic Party. It deeply hurt Carter, Clinton and Obama that so many people reviled them. Reagan and both Bushes wore it as a badge of honor that they were
reviled by the opposition. So Democratic presidents sadly waste time trying to appeal to people who are going to despise them no matter what by spitting in the faces of those who support them to kiss the asses of those who don’t.

Miss Teen America Contestant Caite Upton and Brent Horne seemed to have it out for lesbian couple Carol Rosenfeld, 47, and Brandy Snow, 40, from the beginning of The Amazing Race this season — which was news to Carol and Brandy. “We both had separate conversations with her and Caite talked about [her infamous answer at Miss Teen USA 2007] and how she overcame it. I remember specifically saying, ‘Good for you,’ so to find out how much she hated us was a complete shock,” Carol tells TVGuide.com. The models’ self-described hatred culminated in them U-Turning Carol and Brandy in Sunday’s episode, leading to their anger-filled elimination.
Brandy: “In a common-sense world, strategy dictates, you know, “take the stronger team out.” They didn’t do that. I had no idea how personal it was. Carol: I don’t want to go to the point where I say she’s homophobic because that’s a pretty severe indictment of somebody. I don’t know. People will have to be the judge of that, but you watch it and you don’t know this is going on, and you like to think that in this day and age, people of a much younger generation would be a little more open-minded. It is what it is. She was clearly obsessed with beating and eliminating us. I think she very clearly had a problem with us as lesbians, not with us as individuals because she never individually indicts one of us as having done anything specifically wrong to them.
