CNN’s Soledad O’Brien had a heated encounter with Brietbart contributor and gun advocate John Lott, who recently had a heated encounter with Piers Morgan, continuing to make his pro-gun argument and even expanding it by stating that in the wake of the recent school shooting tragedy that gun control laws should be abolished not expanded.
O’Brien had a hard time stomaching Lott’s perspective saying:
” I don’t see how any of that brings you to the decision that the answer is to get rid of gun laws. A “rational person” would say there’s no reason to have access to the types of semi-automatic weapons in question, its inappropriate.”
“I appreciate you talking with me this morning, but I just have to say, your position completely boggles me, honestly. I just do not understand it.”
Of course the teabaggers and loons at Brietbart loons are up in arms over this as they are for everything and everyone who doesn;t agree with them.
CNN’s Soledad O’Brien tried to put the FACTS out in front of Newt Gingrich to confront his lies about that Catholic Charities were forced to close in Washington D.C. and Boston because of marriage equality laws when it fact Catholic Charities chose to close because it would not be able to recieve Federal Funding unless it allowed gay and lesbians couples to adopt. Catholic Charities could have remained open if the did not accept the money but the Catholic hierarchy wouldn;t do that because as we all know the Catholic Church is broke and could’t afford to run the adoption agancy without Goverment money, right.? *cough*BULLSHIT*cough*
Newt, the lying, philandering, serial adulterer was having none of it and playing the ‘religious victim” card to the hilt.
CNN’s Soledad O’Brien did a great piece on DADT (non-repeal compromise) last night on CNN. She had a great grasp on the subject and talked to SLDN’s Aubrey Sarvis, who reminded gay and lesbian servicemembers that the law hasn’t been repealed yet and NOT TO COME OUT, an anonymous gay soldier still serving and Mike Almy, an Air Force Major, who was discharged under DADT. Almy’s quote though really says it all:
“I’m pissed off. I really am. I want my job back. I want my career back.”
