Richard Grenell the former appointed acting director of national intelligence (DNI) by Donald Trump took to Twitter yesterday to show the world what a petty stupid queen she is when she attempted to throw shade at Mayor Pete Buttigieg the first openly gay man to receive Congressional approval for his appointment to his new position of Secretary of Transportation.
Needless to say LGBT and straight ally Twitter was not having any of it.
Honestly you are such gay trash. You were appointed my a megalomania psyche and you did jack shit. You weren't vetted or confirmed by the senate. You were nothing more than Trump's butt boy. pic.twitter.com/53UkkOdop1
Nope. You were placed in a temporary position, the senate never confirmed you..we have no idea if they ever would have. There's no doubt with Pete, so tough luck for you. Congrats to .@PeteButtigieg on becoming the FIRST openly gay Secretary of a President's Cabinet.
There is concern among our pro-family allies around the world that Ambassador Grenell will engage in LGBT activism as Acting Director of National Intelligence, a cabinet-level position. An effort to impose the same redefinition of marriage upon other nations that was imposed upon Americans by an activist Supreme Court would be reminiscent of the cultural imperialism of the Obama administration.
Eight countries permit the death penalty for homosexuality — most of them also known as abusers of religious freedom and other rights, and supporters of terrorism. An end to those laws, and other physical punishments such as flogging, is a legitimate goal.
But that does not mean we should engage in ‘cultural imperialism’ by imposing policies that were imposed upon us by our own Supreme Court on other countries with different cultures, traditions, and values. Let’s find common ground in calling for an end to all forms of physical violence against homosexuals — but let’s refrain from imposing the values of the sexual revolution on the rest of the world.
The Washington Post reports today that Richard Grenell who was named by the Romney campaign as Foreign Policy and National Security Spokesman. has resigned because he was “hounded from the campaign by anti-gay conservatives.”
I have decided to resign from the Romney campaign as the Foreign Policy and National Security Spokesman. While I welcomed the challenge to confront President Obama’s foreign policy failures and weak leadership on the world stage, my ability to speak clearly and forcefully on the issues has been greatly diminished by the hyper-partisan discussion of personal issues that sometimes comes from a presidential campaign. I want to thank Governor Romney for his belief in me and my abilities and his clear message to me that being openly gay was a non-issue for him and his team.
Of course Bryan Fischer of the anti-gay hate group the American Family Association and one of Grenell’s main Right Wingnut attackers could not hide his overwhelming happiness (and first orgasm in 25 years) over the news.
I can’t wait to see how GOProud and GayPatriot try to spin this and blame it on Liberals, Democrats and Obama. (After they pull the Jeff Gannon dildo out of their asses that is.) Should make for hours of amusement!
I love the smell of GOP cannibalism in the morning.
On Thursday afternoon the Romney campaign announced that Romney had hired Richard Grenell, as his national Security and foreign policy spokesperson. Grenell is best known for being the former spokesperson for the anti-gay U.S. Ambassador to the UN John Bolton who sided with anti-gay regimes in denying observer status to LGBT groups
Grenell brings foreign policy chops and more than a decade of political experience to the aggressive but relatively young Romney staff. His is one in a series of hires as the presumptive Republican nominee rapidly expands his small staff as it moves into the general election against President Obama.
Sources from inside the UN however during describe Grenell in an much more unflattering light than the Post.
But several sources in the UN press corps who spoke on condition of anonymity describe the [Grenell] as “rude,” “arrogant,” and a “bully,” neither popular nor a particularly good source. “He’s unbearable,” says one journalist. “Very pushy and very demanding,” says another. Grenell is said to complain incessantly, hectoring correspondents and their bosses and trying to “mold” wire stories to fit his message. He yells at anyone whose slant doesn’t follow his, says one source. “He yells at people whenever he is uncomfortable, particularly foreigners,” said another
In 2006 Richard Grenell recieved the Roy Cohn Award named after the most despicible anti gay homosexuals in United States history
