Nashville, TN Gay Bars Sent Threatening Pro-Trump Flyers With Pictures of Assault Rifles

Nashville, TN Gay Bars Sent Threatening Pro-Trump Flyers With Pictures of Assault Rifles

At least four gay bars in Nashville, Tennessee have received anonymously sent intimidating pro-Trump flyers. Each flyer features the letters “LGBT” with images of the Statue of Liberty, a beer bottle, an assault rifle, and Donald Trump over each letter.

“They chose to use an image of the weapon that was used in one of the largest massacres in American history at the Pulse Nightclub,” Melvin Brown, who owns and operates the Stirrup Sports Bar in Nashville, told FOX 17 News.

“Was it somebody that is sending it from a hateful place? Was it somebody trying to use it as a motivating factor with the midterm elections coming up, which is a huge possibility.”

Each of the flyers have Trump’s “MAGA” slogan on the reverse side. Police have traced the return addresses to a vacant lot. They have yet to identify the senders.

Some think that the flyers are meant as an intimidation tactic ahead of the mid-term elections, just a few weeks from now. Others believe that in the current political climate that they have a much darker meaning.

Major Cities Across America Reject Hosting the Next Republican National Convention

Major Cities Across America Reject Hosting the Next Republican National Convention

Cities across the country are turning down the opportunity to host the 2020 Republican National Convention, where Donald Trump is expected to be nominated for a second term.

“Most of the cities that have turned down the RNC are Democratic cities,” said Evan Siegfried, a New York-based Republican strategist.

“Their leaders do not want to suffer blowback with their residents for hosting Trump and neither do they want to have local business owners angry because protestors smashed their store windows.”

Any convention attracts protestors, but the interest and passion stirred up in the Trump era, breathlessly covered by cable news networks, is expected to attract throngs of presidential critics to a host city in 2020.

Adam Bruns, managing editor at Site Selection magazine, said any city hoping to host a mammoth event like a political convention would have to take security, protests and disruption into account.

“Unlike most corporate site selections, conventions bring armies of protestors — virtually a complete menu of side evens with their own security and traffic demands,” Bruns said.

Only three cities are even in the running to host the GOP in 2020 — and only one, Charlotte, N.C., is public and open about its interest.

As for the Democrats they are currently reviewing bids from at least eight cities.

Well for the RNC they can always have it at Mar-a-Largo!

TENNESSEE: Anti-Gay Pastor Arrested On 8 Counts of Sexual Molestation of Minor Boys

TENNESSEE: Anti-Gay Pastor Arrested On 8 Counts of Sexual Molestation of Underage Boys

Nashville, Tennessee police have arrested a long-time anti-LGBT pastor who has been charged with eight counts of aggravated sexual battery for alleged molestation of multiple boys, WBRC News reported Friday.

Matthew Dennis Patterson, 45, who goes by Denny, resigned from Nolensville Road Baptist Church on September 24 and moved to Pennsylvania. Three days later, members of the congregation went to the police precinct with complaints about his requests to “engage in strange activities” with children, authorities said.

Children at the church told adult members that Patterson had asked them to sit on his face and stomach, sometimes in their underwear, according to a police statement.

After interviewing multiple church and staff members, police said the detectives identified multiple victims, most of them boys, who were molested from 1998-2017. Police did not say how old the children were at the time of the alleged abuse.

Patterson has been indicted on eight counts of aggravated sexual battery. Each count is linked to a different child, according to police.

Police said more charges relating to additional victims “are anticipated” as the investigation continues.

Patterson was a vocal opponent of anti-discrimination bills considered by the Nashville Metro Council in 2003. The measures were designed to protect jobs and housing for lesbian, gay and bisexual people.

“We want to make sure we keep the pressure on, let them know that anytime they bring this up, we’ll be down here to oppose it,” Patterson told The Tennessean in an article published Feb. 5, 2003.

Nashville police arrested Patterson in Pennsylvania on March 8 — he refused to talk to investigators. Patterson was extradited to Nashville on Friday, and his bond was set at $100,000.

FRC's Tony Perkins Whines: Democrats Want to Take Away Tax-Exempt Status From Loving Christian Hate Groups

FRC’s Tony Perkins to Fellow KKK-ristians: The “Unhinged Left” Will Impeach Trump If They Win The Midterm Elections

Today at the National Religious Broadcasters Convention in Nashville, Tennessee Family Research Council President with ties to known white supremacist Tony Perkins spoke in his usual histrionic fashion claiming that the first thing that the “unhinged left” will do if Democrats win back the House at midterms will be to impeach Donald Trump!

An excerpt from his remarks:

Because of the importance of the evangelical voter, there is an intense effort on the Left to suppress their turnout in the upcoming elections, by dampening the enthusiasm of conservative voters. If they succeed and your listeners and viewers get discouraged and stay home in the midterm election, the reform is over. The restoration of religious freedom and the freedom of speech will end.

Nancy Pelosi needs just 24 seats to switch from Republican to Democrat to retake the gavel of the House. In every midterm election since the Civil War, the president’s party has lost, on average, 32 seats in the House and two in the Senate. There are more than 40 Republicans that have and will announce that they are retiring.

If conservatives and in particular evangelical voters do not turn out, it will happen, and one of the first orders of business will be the impeachment of President Trump. They most likely will not succeed in removing him from office, but they will most likely succeed in stopping what this administration is doing.

What are they doing? The Trump administration is not just enacting conservative policies in line with the Constitution. President Trump is the first Republican President to not just stop the liberal policies of his predecessor; he is dismantling, slowly, but dismantling none-the-less parts of the framework of big, liberal government which has been expanded with the election of each Democratic administration since FDR.

That is why the Left is unhinged. They won’t be able to jump back in the driver’s seat of big government and restart their programs, they will have to rebuild, and that will take time, especially if they don’t have the courts to help them in their activism. This is why every judicial confirmation is a fight.

Others all-star haters who addressed the convention this week included: Mike Pence, Bro(job) brothers Jason and David Benham, the “Reverend” Rick Warren and out of work actors Jim Caviezel and Dennis Quaid. (Who both are now dead to me.)

Nashville, Tennessee Dedicates State’s 1st LGBT Historical Marker

On Saturday Nashville, Tennessee unveiled the states first LGBT historical marker honoring local LGBT activist Penny Campbell.

The marker was placed in front of her former home.

Represented by Nashville attorney Rubenfeld, Penny Campbell was the lead plaintiff in the successful Constitutional challenge in Tennessee that ultimately decriminalized gay sex  in 1996.

“Penny was one of those people who were willing to say to Nashville that she was a lesbian and she was willing to be named and identified as such, and she was proud of it. That’s what changed minds and brought us to where we are today,” said Dr. Pippa Holloway, Professor of History at Middle Tennessee State University.

Nashville Mayor Megan Barry spoke at the event. “[Penny] was one of the most influential and effective LGBT activists that Nashville has ever seen,” she told the attendees gathered for the ceremony. “She said, ‘it shouldn’t matter who you love and you shouldn’t have to hide that love,’ and she took that all the way to the Tennessee Supreme Court.

Penny Campbell passed away in 2014.

Her marker is placed on the 1600 block of McEwen Avenue .

Nashville Rock Club Fires Staffer For Wearing A “I Support Same-Sex Marriage” T-Shirt

Yesterday on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Wes Breedwell  was  fired from his job at Rocketown, a rock club in Nashville, Tennessee for wearing a “I Support  Same-Sex Marriage” tee shirt and not being “Christian” enough.

Rocketown is a Christian-owned non-profit community center Rock Club and music venue.  Over the seven years Breedwell has worked there, he’s been denied  opportunities for advancement and salary based on his non-Christian  beliefs.

In a complaint form that Breedwell provided from his manager, the  manager insists “you cannot wear a  shirt to work on an office day or a show day supporting same-sex marriage” and  also criticized him for presenting beliefs that “contradict the  mission.”
