Catholic Diocese of Madison, WI Tells Priests Its Okay To Deny LGBT People Funerals

The Vicar General Fr. James Bartyll (pictured above) of the The Catholic Diocese of Madison, WI has sent a directive to Priests stating that a Catholic funeral may be denied to LGBT people to avoid “public scandal of the faithful,”

The communication exposed by the Pray Tell blog from Bartylla isr titled “Consideration of Funeral Rites for a Person in a Homosexual Civil or Notorious Union” was sent to priests of the diocese as part of a weekly email.

Consideration of Funeral Rites for a Person in a Homosexual Civil or Notorious Union – You may encounter the situation in which a person in a homosexual civil union (thereby in a public union gravely contrary to the natural law) or in an otherwise notorious homosexual relationship gravely contrary to the natural law dies, and the family wants Catholic funeral rites for the deceased. My short answer to pastors and parochial vicars in these cases is to think through the issue thoroughly and prudently and likely call the local ordinary early in the process to discuss the situation. The main issue centers around scandal and confusion (leading others into the occasion of sin or confusing or weakening people regarding the teachings of the Catholic Church in regards to sacred doctrine and the natural law), and thereby the pastoral task is to minimize the risk of scandal and confusion to others amidst the solicitude for the deceased and family.

If the situation warrants (see canon 1184 – specifically canon 1184.1.3), ecclesiastical funeral rites may be denied for manifest sinners in which public scandal of the faithful can’t be avoided. If there is a doubt, the local ordinary is to be consulted, and his judgment is to be followed (canon 1184.2).  Here are some general considerations in such situations that may be of preliminary assistance to you:

·         Was the deceased or the “partner” a promoter of the “gay” lifestyle?  What is the attitude of the deceased’s family members, especially towards the Church?

·         Did the deceased give some signs of repentance before death?

·         If ecclesiastical funeral rites are allowed, should they occur without a Mass?

·         *To minimize scandal, should there merely be a short scripture service at the funeral home?  Or maybe merely a graveside service? Maybe a later “Mass for the Dead” with or without explicit mention of the name of the deceased or “partner” could alternatively or in addition be offered at the parish or even at another parish (to avoid scandal), with or without family members present.

·         *Any surviving “partner” should not have any public or prominent role at any ecclesiastical funeral rite or service.

·         A great risk for scandal and confusion is for the name of the celebrating priest and/or the parish to be listed in any public (e.g., newspaper) or semi-public obituary or notice that also lists the predeceased or surviving “partner” in some manner. This can’t happen for obvious reasons.

·         There should be no mention of the “partner” either by name or by other reference (nor reference to the unnatural union) in any liturgical booklet, prayer card, homily, sermon, talk by the priest, deacon, etc…

·         It may be wise to keep the priest or deacon involvement to the minimum (i.e., limited to one priest or deacon and at merely essential times of a service or rite, if one occurs).

Jesus weeps.

Kansas Rainbow Painted Equality House Defaced with Anti-Gay Graffiti, Riddled with Bullets

Kansas Rainbow Painted Equality House Defaced with Anti-Gay Graffiti, Riddled with Bullets

The rainbow painted Equality House, in Topeka, Kansas right across the street from the Westboro Baptist Church has been attacked with anti-gay graffiti and bullets.

bullet1_dc244ac8b5e0749979773d0ba10d54fc-nbcnews-ux-600-700“Fuk fags” was spray-painted on the side of the house and seven bullet-holes were found in what is the latest attack on Equality House.

Actions taken and threats made against Equality House have reportedly reached a new zenith this year, the third year that Equality House has existed since being opened in 2013.

Recently, an individual who claimed to be a member of the KKK made anti-LGBT threats and a feces and urine were found in Equality House’s resource center.

NBC OUT:

Aaron Jackson, president of Planting Peace and founder of the Equality House, was inside at the time the house was vandalized on Sunday with spray-paint. He was awoken at around 1:12 a.m. when he heard loud noises coming from outside. He called the police, and once they had arrived, they found the anti-gay slurs on the house. A few days later, seven bullet holes were found on the same side of the home.

This, unfortunately, is just the latest in a recent string of vandalism against Equality House.

“The Equality House has been a target for acts of hate and intolerance that reflect the same experiences our LGBT family face every day,” Jackson said. “Planting Peace frequently receives hate mail and even death threats, but over the past three months we have seen an increase in physical acts of vandalism and violence. While it may seem shocking to some, it’s a heartbreaking reality.”

Estimated Crowd of 700 – 1000 Protestors Gather To Protest Death To Gays Pastor In Sacramento, CA – Video

Verity Baptist Church Protest

A crowd estimated at between 700 and 1000 people gathered today chanting “love conquers hate” outside a Northern California strip mall church where last week a pastor said during his sermon he was upset more people weren’t killed in the attack on an Orlando nightclub that left 49 people dead.

Holding  rainbow flags and signs that read “We are Orlando” and “Pride Over Prejudice” the protestors, gay. lesbian. trans. bi, and straight defiantly stood outside the Verity Baptist church in Sacramento decrying last week’s sermon by its “pastor” Roger Jimenez.

Hours after the attack at the gay Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Jimenez told his small congregations he wished more people had been killed during the attack, calling the victims “sodomites” and “pedophiles.” The sermon was filmed and uploaded to YouTube.

“There’s no tragedy,” Jimenez said in his hate sermon. “I wish the government would round them all up, put them up against a firing wall, put a firing squad in front of them, and blow their brains out. Are you sad that 50 pedophiles were killed today? Um – no – I think that’s great! I think that helps society. I think Orlando, Florida, is a little safer tonight.”

Following his service, Jimenez defiantly address the press.

“We had a record-breaking attendance here this morning,” the pastor told reporters outside his church. “Normally we have about 200 people…today we had 281.

“And I just wanted to thank the media for all the free publicity.”

Sacramento local LGBT activist Dan Estabrook live streamed the protest using Facebook live.

Methodist Church Punishes Pastor Who Officiated At Gay Sons Wedding With 30 Day Suspension

Gay Pastor

This week United Methodist minister Frank Schaefer in Pennsylvania was found “guilty” of officiating at his son’s gay wedding by church officiials.  Now the gentle and loving Methodist “jury” has sentenced him to a 30-day suspension only after they demanded that he denounce the wedding which he refused to do.

Frank Schaefer, 51, the pastor at Zion United Methodist Church of Iona in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, was found guilty by a jury of 13 ordained clergy members on two counts: officiating a same-sex wedding and being disobedient to the discipline and order of the church, according to Cathy Husid-Shamir, a Schaefer family spokesperson. Schaefer received a concurrent 30-day suspension for both counts. If he does not uphold the church’s discipline after the suspension, he must surrender his credentials, according to Husid-Shamir. The jury had full power in determining Schaefer’s penalty, which could have ranged from a reprimand to a full defrocking.

“I feel I have to be an advocate, an outspoken advocate for all lesbian, gay, transgender and bisexual people,” Schaefer told reporters while wearing a rainbow colored stole after learning his sentence, adding that he expects to be defrocked when his 30-day suspension is up.

The church “needs to stop judging people based on their sexual orientation,” he told jurors. “We have to stop the hate speech. We have to stop treating them as second-class Christians.  I will never be silent again, this is what I have to do.”

Two Gay Men Beaten To Death By Religious Mob During Anti-Gay Rally In Haiti

Two gay men beaten to death in Haiti

According to sources in Haiti, two men who were assumed to be gay were savagely beaten to death by an angry mob during an anti-gay rally and protest led by a coalition of moral and religious organizations in Port -Au-Prince on Friday.

More than 1,000 people in Haiti participated Friday’s street demonstration to protest homosexuality and a proposal to legalize gay marriage in the Caribbean nation.   The protest brought together a mix of religious groups, from Protestant to Muslim, who carried anti-gay placards and chanted songs, including one in which they threatened to burn down parliament if its members make same-sex marriage legal including one group calling itself the Haitian Coalition of Religious and Moral Organizations,

During the rally which was not covered by police presence, some in the crowd  armed themselves with knives (sticks, blocks and other objects) and attacked anyone which they suspected were gay.  At 1:00 PM in the afternoon, 2 men were set upon by the crowd and  were beaten to death on Jean Jacques Dessalines Boulevard, at the Iron Market.  Police did not arrive until 3 hours later.

“I believe in God, and God condemns homosexuality,” said protester Eddy Jean-Pierre, a self-described “Protestant”. “Haiti is not going to accept this, and God will punish us further if we allow this law to pass.”

Brietbart.com Goes Batshit Over Bill Maher’s “Anti-Intellectual, Anti-Science Freakshow” Comments

Ya, poor Bill is upset because Ashcroft covered the breast of a statue but apparently has no problem with Holder, walking guns into the hands of the Mexican drug cartels. Yep, Bill can’t wait for the pedophiles to file suit, claiming that their constitutional rights are being violated because they’re not being allowed to molest children. After all, if they’re born homosexual, then why should they have to wait just because of the antiquated views of a bunch of Bible thumping conservatives? Old Bill doesn’t seem to have a problem with the fact that this President spent two weeks blaming a YouTube video for the deaths of Americans in Benghazi and then sold a personalized flag poster with stripes that appeared to be the Blood of those Heroic Americans.

No, I guess just about anything that is Sordid and Depraved is all right with Bill.

Obama quotes scriptures the way that lucifer quoted scriptures to Jesus.  With an agenda and stinking of an evil agenda.

And you are correct.  Maher, like other liberals, assume that Pelosi, Reid, Obama, etc just pretend to be Christians so that they don’t lose that important voting block.

What is a shame with all the sucker voters falling for it is how common it is for voters not to understand how they are being taken for a ride.

AFs for example think that Democrats really care for them by offering them handouts.  If only they knew that is for nothing more than getting their votes, just like LBJ actually admitted to.

I will be happy if it is not the commie bulls**t we get now. Funny how the leftists embrace Islamic extremism but not Christianity in any amount. That plays into the mental disorder of liberalism since the Islamic mainstream oppose almost all aspects of the liberal lifestyle, including abortion, womens lib, and anything gay.

Thank you Brietbart.com commenters for proving Bill Maher’s point.

Heartbreaking Letter From Father Who Disowns His Son Because He’s Gay

Reddit user RegBarc posted this heartbreaking true story and letter from his father after coming out to him in 2007  and the ramifications of the words that anti-gay hate mongers and “loving christians”  like Bryan Fischer, Tony Perkins and even Dan Cathy has caused in his life.

In August of 2007, I finally built up the courage to tell my father I was gay. The moment I said it, the phone got quiet and he got off the phone after a few “Okay”s. I decided to give him time to process the news. About a week later, and not long before my birthday, I received the following letter:

“James: This is a difficult but necessary letter to write. I hope your telephone call was not to receive my blessing for the degrading of your lifestyle. I have fond memories of our times together, but that is all in the past. Don’t expect any further conversations With me. No communications at all. I will not come to visit, nor do I want you in my house. You’ve made your choice though Wrong it may be. God did not intend for this unnatural lifestyle. If you choose not to attend my funeral, my friends and family will understand. Have a good birthday and good life. No present exchanges will be accepted. Goodbye, Dad.”

It’s important to know just what this zealotry from Bryan Fisher, Maggie Gallagher, Dan Cathy, et al., does to everyday people. I’ve never done drugs, was an excellent student, an obedient child (far less trouble than many of my classmates), didn’t drink until I was 22 because it terrified me, and have had just 1 speeding ticket in my life. Yet I am still seemingly deserving of this terrible act of hate and cowardice that one person can place on another. 5 years on and I am still doing fine, though this letter saunters into my mind every once in a while. When it does, I say without hesitation: F**k you, Dad.

What type of man would walk away from his little boy forever over something like this?

No REAL man at all.

Another disgusting example of so-called “Christian Love”!
