Liberty Counsel Hate Group LIES That Marriage Bill Will Legalize Pedophilia, Polygamy, Incest, “And Other Perversions”

Anti-LGBT Liberty Counsel Witch-hunt Of Florida Lesbian High School Teacher FAILS Miserably

A Tampa, Florida high school teacher who was accused by an extremist anti-LGBT organization of banning crosses while advocating for gay rights has been cleared of wrongdoing after a school district investigation.

Lora Jane Riedas, who teaches freshman math at Riverview High School and is faculty adviser of Riverview’s Gay Straight Alliance, said she did not allow rosaries, as they are considered gang symbols and not allowed in the school dress code.

The Liberty Counsel, the group that represented Kim Davis, the Kentucky court clerk who made headlines in 2015 after refusing to issue marriage licenses to gay couples. The group alleged that Riedas didn’t let students wear crosses and that her efforts to help LGBT students feel comfortable in her classroom had crossed a line into political activism. It made the others feel “marginalized and excluded, and not full members of the classroom community,”

Liberty Counsel founder Mathew Staver says the messaging goes too far. It’s not just a symbol, he says, but the combination.

It’s the rainbow stickers Riedas is accused of placing on student folders. It’s a poster that says “Ally,” a term for people supportive of their LGBT friends.

The original complaint took issue with posters in the classroom that say “Ally” and “Safe Place.” Principal Danielle Shotwell saw nothing wrong with the posters. Riedas said the terms do not refer specifically to gay and transgender students, but to anyone who fears being bullied

“She’s free to do what she wants to do in her own time outside of that classroom,” Staver said. “She’s free to be a sponsor of a student-initiated, student-led club. But she crosses the line when she brings things into the classroom that pushes her ideas onto the students. You talk about being inclusive. But she’s not including people who do not agree with her.”

Superintendent Jeff Eakins said Monday he is pleased to have ordered a thorough investigation. “We, as a district, have a responsibility to our employees to give them due process,” he said.

“This investigation revealed that we are being respectful to all students. We’re being respectful to our employees in giving them due process. We always have to make sure that we are hearing the whole story.”

“I still have no idea what student is even complaining,” Riedas said. “No one asked to be taken out of my class.” instead the Liberty Counsel began building its case.

Staver also said the fight is not over.

“We’ll be following up with another letter to the school,” he said. “We have other students who have come forth in other classes as well. We’ll likely get that letter out tomorrow, Wednesday the latest.

Last month Mat Staver, The Liberty Counsel and Liberty University were added  to a RICO lawsuit over their involvement in the kidnapping of 9 year-old Lisa Miller.

Liberty Counsel Promo For FRC’s Values Voter Summit Leaves Out RICO Investigation For Kidnapping

Liberty Counsel

Well the Liberty Counsel has made a brand new info-promo for the Family Research Council’s 2014 Haterpalloza aka The Values Voter Summit which they brag about themselves and their standing up for “religious liberty” but somehow seem to miss mentioning thier involvement in a civil RICO lawsuit [PDF] against Kenneth Miller for helping ex-gay Lisa Miller kidnap her daughter from her ex-lesbian spouse and flee the country.

Via Right Ring Watch:

 41. Unbeknownst to Plaintiff Janet Jenkins, in 2009 Victoria Zodhiates (now Hyden) was an employee of Response Unlimited, Inc., and also a “student worker” at Liberty University School of Law. On information and belief, Victoria Zodhiates sent an email during this time period to her co-workers at the law school requesting donations for supplies to send to Lisa Miller to enable her to remain outside the country. Lisa Miller’s attorney, Matthew Staver was the Dean of the Law School and Ms. Zodhiates’s boss. Matthew Staver and Philip Zodhiates were also personal acquaintances at this time. On September 20, 2009, both Philip Zodhiates and Victoria Hyden called Lisa Miller’s father, Terry Miller in Tennessee to assist in arranging her and Isabella’s transportation from a Walmart parking lot in Lynchburg, Virginia, to Waynesboro, Virginia, from whence they would depart for Canada and Nicaragua the next day.

42. In early November, 2009, elders of the Thomas Road Baptist Church packed up the personal belongings of Lisa Miller in two bags. These bags were picked up from Lynchburg, Virginia by Philip Zodhiates who arranged to have the bags transported to Nicaragua by sending them with his son’s school teacher who was taking some children on a mission trip to Managua. Philip Zodhiates arranged for the teacher, John Collmus, to deliver the bags at the airport to Timothy Miller. The bags also contained some supplies for Lisa Miller, such as peanut butter.

47. Lisa Miller’s attorneys Mathew Staver and Rena Lindevaldsen also routinely instructed their Law School students that the correct course of action for a person in Lisa Miller’s situation would be to engage in “civil disobedience” and defy court orders.

48. Also in 2009, TRBC Head Pastor Jonathan Falwell was among several religious leaders who made a call for “Christian civil disobedience” and published a public declaration, known as The Manhattan Declaration stating that they:

“will not comply with any edict that purports to compel our institutions to participate in abortions, embryo-destructive research, assisted suicide and euthanasia, or any other anti-life act; nor will we bend to any rule purporting to force us to bless immoral sexual partnerships, treat them as marriages or the equivalent, or refrain from proclaiming the truth, as we know it, about morality and immorality and marriage and the family.”

49. Hence, Defendants TRBC and its related ministry Liberty University School of Law encouraged its agents to disregard state laws governing parental rights, particularly Vermont’s law giving rights to members of same-sex families. The TRBC and Liberty University School of Law through its public declaration promoted, condoned and explicitly ratified its agent’s tortious, racketeering activity. These agents and employees have followed this direction, making TRBC and Liberty University School of Law liable in respondeat superior for the consequences.

57. At the trial of Kenneth Miller in August 2012, a number of Lisa Miller’s friends and supporters testified, including Defendant Wright, and several members of the PIC. When asked if any of them had met or heard of Philip Zodhiates, the answer was no. At the trial, the government introduced phone records that showed phone calls made from Philip Zodhiates’s cell phone between 1:28pm and 1:30pm on September 22, 2009, to a cell phone with an Orlando area code that is registered to Liberty Counsel, a landline registered to Liberty Counsel, and a landline registered to Liberty University School of Law. Mathew Staver, Dean of the Liberty University School of Law, splits his time between Lynchburg, Virginia and Orlando, Florida. At the time that the calls were made, Philip Zodhiates was still en route back to Virginia after depositing Lisa Miller and Isabella near the Canadian border.

58. Lisa Miller’s attorneys, Matthew Staver and Rena Lindevaldsen have at all times maintained that they did not know their client’s location to various courts in Vermont (including in sworn testimony of Rena Lindevaldsen) and Virginia, and to the press that she simply stopped communicating with them and disappeared.

59. Meanwhile, Matthew Staver’s acquaintance, Philip Zodhiates, and his daughter Victoria, an assistant in the Law School knew of Lisa Miller’s whereabouts and solicited donations from other Law School employees for her aid. Upon information and belief, other law school employees who spoke to Victoria about Lisa Miller’s whereabouts were too intimidated to come forward to law enforcement for fear of angering Dean Staver and losing their jobs. During the time that Lisa and Isabella were missing, Dean Staver fired several members of the admissions and financial aid department who were under his supervision. To this day, Victoria Hyden is still an employee of the law school, even though her tortious conduct involving Isabella Miller-Jenkins has been in public court records for over a year. Also, while Lisa Miller and Isabella were missing, Lisa Miller’s attorneys continued to press appeals on Lisa Miller’s behalf until the last appeals were exhausted in November 2010 (more than a year after she was missing), stating that they had advance instructions from Lisa Miller as to her wishes for the ongoing litigation.

62. Based on the foregoing, all of the Defendants named herein, in both their individual capacities and as agents of TRBC, Liberty University Law School, Response Unlimited, Inc., and CAM are liable for conspiring with Lisa Miller and with each other to kidnap Isabella Miller-Jenkins, assure her continued detention outside the State of Vermont, and for conspiring with Kenneth Miller to participate in the affairs of the Beachy Amish-Mennonite Brotherhood through a pattern of racketeering activity .. Defendants are also liable for conspiring to violate Janet Jenkins’ and Isabella Miller-Jenkins’ rights to a parent-child relationship on account oflsabella having two mothers instead of a mother and a father, and Defendant Wright is liable under 42 U.S.C. 1986 for failing to prevent the violation of Plaintiffs’ civil rights.

FRC’s Tony Perkins Pushes The Idea Of Kidnapping Of Children From Their Gay Parents

Tony Perkins FRC KKK

“Faced with losing her seven-year-old daughter to her former lesbian partner, Lisa Miller made the only choice a new Christian could: she sought her minister’s help. After two courts ordered Lisa to transfer custody of her biological daughter to a woman with no adoptive rights, she felt she had no choice but to flee the country. Kenneth Miller, a Mennonite pastor from Vermont, helped her escape–and will now be paying for it with a 27-month prison sentence.

“Last summer, a jury found him guilty of helping Lisa and her daughter, Isabella, travel from Virginia to the Canadian border and then to Central America via the Toronto airport. During the two-hour sentencing, Miller told the judge he ‘couldn’t promise’ that he would never again help a parent smuggle a son or daughter out of the country. He saw, as so many of us do, a vulnerable child–and a government bent on redefining family law to the exclusion of the actual parents. ‘I give myself unto you to do with me as you see fit,’ an emotional Miller told the court. To many of us, the pastor’s predicament seems extreme–but a day may come when we all have to make a similar choice.

“Obviously, there are things we can do between now and then to protect ourselves, like electing strong conservative leaders and resisting the ever-growing reach of the federal government. But under an administration as hostile to faith as this one is, Christians may soon find themselves in the same position of breaking an unjust law. Will you have the courage to do what Kenneth Miller did? Don’t wait until the moment is upon you before contemplating this. Are you willing to accept the penalty instead of compromising your principles?” – Family Research Council – Hate Group President and known white supremacist Tony Perkins, pushing the agenda of the kidnapping of children from their gay parents.

Soooooooooooooo Tony, are you saying that (AND I PUT THIS OUT THERE AS PURELY HYPOTHETICAL SITUATION)  that if I stalk you, kidnap you, and take you to the roughest leather S&M club in America then strip you down, tie you up, blindfold and gag you and chain your ass into a sling with a barrel of Crisco besides you with a sign reading “NASTY PIG BOTTOM – The more I struggle the HARDER I want it – ALL WELCUM!” and later I insist it was because God told me to do it, I shouldn’t be punished for it then.  Right?

Like I said.  It’s hypothetical and no thought has gone into it at all.

Trial Set For Paston Involved In Liberty Counsel Connected Kidnapping Case Of Isabella Miller

Eleven women and three men were impaneled to hear the case against Mennonite  Pastor Kenneth Miller, accused of  helping Lisa A. Miller flee the country with her young daughter to prevent the girl from staying with Ms. Miller’s former lesbian partner in a civil union.

Lisa Miller, no relation to the  defendant, and Janet  Jenkins of Fair Haven entered a civil union in Vermont in 2000. Lisa Miller  gave birth to her daughter, Isabella, in 2002. The couple later broke up, and  Lisa Miller returned to her native Virginia.

Kenneth Miller is accused of  helping Lisa Miller and her daughter travel from Virginia to Canada, then to  Nicaragua in September 2009 where they lived among Mennonites.

But coincidentally an article published by this website in April of 2011 shows that Miller had been legally assisted by Matt Barber’s anti-gay Liberty Counsel at the time and when Miller failed to surrender Isabella Jenkins-Miller and disappeared.

Also according to FBI affidavits, the ”Lynchburg Christian Academy Payroll Account” provided ”multiple payroll checks to Lisa Miller.” The Academy is an affiliate of the late Jerry Falwell’s Thomas Road Baptist Church which Matt Barber’s Liberty Counsel is also affiliated with by way of Falwell’s Liberty University

FBI documents indicate agents believe Lisa Miller was going by the name Sarah, and that her daughter was being referred to as Lydia.

Last year Miller’s ex-partner Janet Jenkins’s attorney, Sarah Star, received a phone call from an unnamed individual who said that Miller and her daughter were staying at a vacation rental house in Nicaragua owned by Philip Zodhiates, who was described by the caller as a “Liberty leader,” Kaegel said.

According to the Southern Poverty Law Center, Zodhiates heads the Christian direct-mail firm Response Unlimited. His daughter, Victoria Hyden, is Liberty Counsel president Mat Staver’s administrative assistant and was asked by her father to “to get Lisa Miller supplies.”

Right Wing Watch  confirmed that the FBI affidavit reveals that Lisa Miller and her daughter have been living in a Nicaragua house owned by the Zodhaiates and that Miller’s original Liberty Counsel attorney  Rena M. Lindevaldsen was also named in the FBI’s affidavit.

There is no public word if the Liberty Counsel is currently under investigation in aiding and abetting of Pastor Kenneth Miller or that of Lisa Miller in her fleeing the country.
