The Big Gay Walking Dead – After A Long Wait TWD Universe Proves That Gays Can Survive The Zombiepocalypse

Aaron and Andrew Gay Kiss

After years of begging, prodding, whining, and screaming, last night on The Walking Dead the newest character of Aaron came out in big way with the introduction of his partner Eric, and TWD’s first gay male kiss.

After finally meeting the group last night and a rather defensive Rick Grimes, Aaron convinces them to come with him to a “safe” community (Alexandria) And the group eventually does so,  hesitantly.   But due to Rick’s paranoia (you should have taken Rte 23 dude) and a herd of zombies which are run over, flare gunned, and generally massacred in a 10 minute melee the group divided into two vehicles gets separated. But thnks to another flare (shot in the sky this time and not into a zombie’e head) the two groups reunite and take shelter inside a store room. There’s a tearful reunion between Maggie and Glenn, and Rick and Carl – and then a third, surprising,  reunion. Aaron runs inside and kneels to the side of a man lying down with a broken ankle. His name is Eric. And as the two men kiss warmly

They tease each other intimately – Eric has brought Aaron another license plate for his collection and Aaron admits he not only lost his license plate collection – he lost the entire car. They embrace. They say they love each other. They joke about getting the blood-stained car back and parking it in front of their house, where the hideous wreck can scare away walkers. At this point Rick is in the shadows watching all of this in the shadows and this, perhaps more than any other display or speech that Aaron has given in the last 24 hours, seems to convince Rick that his guy is also a “person” who maybe, just maybe, can be trusted.

So with that one scene TWD universe finally rounded out its “veritable United Nations of characters” since the show began, and has proven that gay men can survive the Zombie apocalypse (and still stay well groomed. Daryl take note).

I have been brutally hard on TWD over the past few years about its lack of gay diversity, especially after it skipped a major gay storyline in Season 3 at the Prison.  And while Tara was a great addition even her lesbian storyline that lasted 3 episodes was very subtle.

So I would like to publicly thank AMC, Gale Anne Hurd and Scott Gimple for introducing Arron and Eric in such an unflinching, honest and if you pardon my expression “straight forward” way.

My work is done here.

Now….bring on Jesus!

OUTRAGE!: Google Releases “Shoot The Gays” Game App Named “Ass Hunter” – UPDATE

Ass Hunter 2

Google has an  app content policy that bans ‘depictions of gratuitous violence’ and ‘materials that threaten, harass or bully other users. Well you wouldn’t know it by the revolting and violently homophobic game app uploaded to the Google App Store that allows players to shoot gay men dead as its objective.

The game known as Ass Hunter has been around since 2006 in other more dubious venues but yesterday it was uploaded to the Google Play app store

Popular game hunting on gays is now on android! Play and do not be gay!Legendary game, where you are hunter and your mission is to kill gays as much as you can or escape between them to the next level. Gays may be hidden in bushes and unexpectedly catch you.

Remember! When they catch you they will do with you whatever they want 😉

Toronto-based writer, Travis Myers, called the presence of Ass Hunter on the Google Play store ‘abhorrent.’

‘While it is just an app there is absolutely no ambiguity about the homophobic intent of this game — this is a game for people who fantasize about killing gay people,’ he said.

‘Google has affirmed its status as an LGBTQ ally many times in the past but I think the fact that this game was uploaded and available on their App Store means they can and should do better to support gay rights, especially in light of recent high profile cases of homophobic violence around the world.’

It’s outrageous that Google  would host such a anti-gay app.  Especially since Googles Terms of Service includes a hate speech clause that forbids ‘advocating against groups of people based on their… sexual orientation/gender identity.’

PLEASE go to the GOOGLE Play Ass Hunter Game page and leave feedback and comments and lets get this repugnant and homophobic app be removed as soon as possible.

Google should be ashamed of itself.

Ass hunter

UPDATE: The offensive game was taken down by Google.com earlier this morning after numerous complaints but not before it was downloaded at least 5000 times.

Iconic Comic Character ARCHIE To Die Saving Gay Best Friend Kevin Keller From Assasination

Mashable has the story

Archie Andrews the famous freckle-faced comic book icon is meeting his demise in Wednesday’s installment of “Life with Archie” when he intervenes in an assassination attempt on Kevin Keller, Archie Comics’ first openly gay character. Andrews’ death, which was first announced in April, will mark the conclusion of the series that focuses on grown-up renditions of Andrews and his Riverdale pals.

“The way in which Archie dies is everything that you would expect of Archie,” said Jon Goldwater, Archie Comics publisher and co-CEO. ” He dies heroically. He dies selflessly. He dies in the manner that epitomizes not only the best of Riverdale but the best of all of us. It’s what Archie has come to represent over the past almost 75 years.”

Keller’s character first joined Veronica Lodge, Betty Cooper, Jughead Jones and Reggie Mantle in the Archie Comics spin-off “Veronica” in 2010. He later appeared in his own solo title. In “Life with Archie,” Keller is a married military veteran and newly elected senator who’s pushing for more gun control in Riverdale after his husband was involved in a shooting.

Well done Archie Comics!

Archie saving a gay, gun-control-pushing senator! The only way this could be any better is it turns out Archie was an illegal immigrant.

NOTE:  Breitbart.com has  just picked up the story.. It’s getting comments faster than you can say “libruls r runing Merica’.

Nintendo Issues Apology Over “Tomodachi Life”, Promises To Be More LGBT Inclusive

We're Sorry

Nintendo is apologizing and pledging to be more LGBT inclusive after being criticized for not recognizing same-sex relationships in English editions of a life-simulator video game. “Tomodachi Life.”  Nintendo said that while it was too late to change the current game, it was committed to building virtual equality into future versions.

“We apologize for disappointing many people by failing to include same-sex relationships in Tomodachi Life,” Nintendo said in a statement released Friday. “Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to change this game’s design, and such a significant development change can’t be accomplished with a post-ship patch.” Earlier in the week Nintendo tried to cover itself by stating that. “The relationship options in the game represent a playful alternate world rather than a real-life simulation.” adding that they “never intended to make any form of social commentary”.

The game was originally released in Japan last year and features a cast of Mii characters — Nintendo’s personalized avatars of real players — living on a virtual island. Gamers can do things like shop, play games, go on dates, get married and encounter celebrities like Christina Aguilera and Shaquille O’Neal.

“Tomodachi Life” is set for release June 6 in North America and Europe.

OkCupid Fights Back At Mozilla Anti-Gay CEO: “Please use another browser than Firefox to access our site”

Online dating site OkCupid is calling for its members and anyone who’s a Buddy to ditch Firefox and use another browser to search for love in protest of Mozilla’s new CEO, Brendan Eich, who supporter of anti-same-sex marriage campaign.

In an email sent to it uses OkCupid states:

“Hello there, Mozilla Firefox user. Pardon this interruption of your OkCupid experience.

Mozilla’s new CEO, Brendan Eich, is an opponent of equal rights for gay couples. We would therefore prefer that our users not use Mozilla software to access OkCupid.

Politics is normally not the business of a website, and we all know there’s a lot more wrong with the world than misguided CEOs. So you might wonder why we’re asserting ourselves today. This is why: we’ve devoted the last ten years to bringing people — all people — together. If individuals like Mr. Eich had their way, then roughly 8% of the relationships we’ve worked so hard to bring about would be illegal. Equality for gay relationships is personally important to many of us here at OkCupid. But it’s professionally important to the entire company. OkCupid is for creating love.

If you want to keep using Firefox, the link at the bottom will take you through to the site.

However, we urge you to consider different software for accessing OkCupid:

Google Chrome

Internet Explorer

Thank you,

Also programmers at the OKCupid website have tweaked its programs so when members navigate to the site on a Firefox browser, they are met with a message encouraging them to use an alternative browser to access the site, including Google Chrome, Opera, Safari and the amusingly misspelled Internet Exploder.

“Those who seek to deny love and instead enforce misery, shame and frustration are our enemies, and we wish them nothing but failure,” reads the message.

New Mozilla CEO Brendan Eich Helped Fight Against LGBT Rights. Techs React, Eich Plays Victim

Mozilla Prop 8

Brendan Eich, who it was announced will be the new CEO of Mozilla, which runs and owns the popular Firefox browser has been outed as an anti- same sex marriage supporter who it was discovered donated $1,000 to support Prop 8, California’s a ban on gay marriage.

Hampton Catlin and his husband Michael co-creators of the popular Color Puzzle app from the Mozilla/Firefox marketplace in protest.

“Today we were shocked to read that Brendan Eich has been appointed Mozilla CEO. As a gay couple who were unable to get married in California until recently, we morally cannot support a Foundation that would not only leave someone with hateful views in power, but will give them a promotion and put them in charge of the entire organization”, says Hampton Catlin.”.

Catlin writes the following letter to Mozilla in protest:

Dear Mozilla,

As a married gay couple who are co-founders of this venture, we have chosen to boycott all Mozilla projects. We will not develop apps or test styles on Firefox anymore.

Effective today, we’re removing Color Puzzle from the Firefox Marketplace and stopping work on all of our Firefox-related applications, notably the about-to-launch Firefox version of the popular Dictionary! app for iPhone and Android.

This is in protest of the appointment of Brendan Eich to the position of CEO of the Mozilla Foundation, where he had previously served as CTO.

We will continue our boycott until Brendan Eich is completely removed from any day to day activities at Mozilla, which we believe is extremely unlikely after all he’s survived and the continued support he has received from Mozilla.

This makes us very sad, as we love the little guy fighting to make things better. But it’s because of our status as a minority that we simply can’t ignore this slap in the face of giving him a promotion to lead your organization.

Hampton Catlin

Eich on the other hand has played victim since back in  2008 when news of his donation originally became public for he first time.

From his personal blog:

A donation that I made in support of California Proposition 8 four years ago became public knowledge and sparked a firestorm of comments in the last few days, mostly on Twitter. People in other countries or other U.S. states do not know why “Mozilla” was listed in the donation data. Donors above a certain amount are required by the State of California to disclose their employer. Mozilla had nothing to do with the donation. I’m not going to discuss Prop 8 here or on Twitter. There is no point in talking with the people who are baiting, ranting, and hurling four-letter abuse. Personal hatred conveyed through curse words is neither rational nor charitable, and strong feelings on any side of an issue do not justify it. In contrast, people expressing non-abusive anger, sadness, or disagreement, I understand, grieve, and humbly accept.

I am sure Eich will be reprising his role as victim once again soon.

Riverdale Gets A Gay Superhero! – Kevin Keller Becomes “The Equalizer”!

Kevin Keller superhero

Archie and his pals in Riverdale will be getting a superhero to protect them.  And not just any superhero but a gay superhero according to IGN as Kevin Keller will take on the identity of the Equalizer in his new story arc which will begin in May.

Kevin will fight for justice and rely primarily on his physical strength for a superpower. According to writer, artist, and LGBT straight ally  Dan Parent:

Well, first of all, we had to pick out a name for him, and since he is gay and stands for equality, he wants to help everybody. We’re not just talking about cases of homophobia; we’re talking about when some downtrodden person gets hurt. So Equalizer is just sort of a good term. It’s not a term that we made up, obviously — it’s been used for batteries and TV shows — the word’s been used before. But it just symbolized him, because he stands for equality, and that’s what he’s trying to do. When he becomes a superhero, first he helps an old lady who’s getting attacked, then he saves this kid from getting made fun of, which, you know, he’s been in that place before. Then also, if a real crime is being committed, he’ll help stop that too. He’s an equal opportunity provider.

Trying to keep it a little more reality based. Mostly it’s just based on his physical strength. Whereas the Archie characters, you know, Archie got powers and could actually fly, and they can all do other things. But with this character, we’re keeping it more in the realm of, like, a Batman, where he actually depends on his physical prowess — and then lots of gadgets. In his cave, the guy who kind of monitors what’s going on with the crime and kind of invents things for Kevin — and at the same time, Kevin has the hots for this guy, so it’s kind of like a love interest for Kevin too.

In later storylines Kevin will also be relying on his father and best friend Veronica Lodge who who’ll act as his billionaire benefactor n his quest to triumph over wrongdoing. To this end, Veronica will be the one who supplies him with his own version of Batman’s Batcave and helps to come up with the idea for his costume

Kevin first appeared in a September 2010 issue of Veronica’s self-titled comic book and has quickly grown into one of Archie Comics’ most visible and popular characters.

Look for The Equalizer to debut in Kevin Keller #14 on May 5!
