This isn’t exactly the age of responsible journalism — so this weekend’s New York Times probably doesn’t surprise anyone. But for every American sick of fake news (and according to polls, that’s everyone), Sunday’s headline was one for the record books. “‘Transgender’ Could Be Defined out of Existence under Trump Administration,” the banner read, triggering mass hysteria in liberal quarters across the country. There’s just one problem: not one bit of it is true.

No one is “defining transgenders out of existence.” What President Trump is doing is following the law — which, after eight years of Barack Obama’s overreach, is suddenly a shocking concept. Under the last administration, liberals were so used to the president twisting the rules to suit the Left’s agenda that it’s news when Donald Trump decides to operate within the plain text of law. As far as the New York Times is concerned, the most “drastic” thing any president could do is bring America back in line with legal statutes. And this non-story that’s setting the far-Left’s hair on fire is nothing more than that.

In Sunday’s piece, a trio of reporters argues that the Trump administration is disenfranchising people by defining gender as it always has been: a “biological, immutable condition determined by genitalia at birth.” No one is quite sure how that’s radical, since it’s how the law has been understood both before and since 1964. Not a single president questioned it until Obama, who decided that he didn’t care what the Civil Rights Act said. He was going to “reinterpret” the 54-year-old law on “sex” discrimination to mean “sexual orientation” and gender identity too.

The Times’ agenda is obvious — painting Trump as the extremist, when the real radicalism was ignoring the law in the first place. Well, reporters may be out of practice with the truth these days, but it’s time they came to grips with one important reality. The president is not a legislator, no matter how much Obama acted like one. If they want America to change the way it defines discrimination, they need to start by asking the right branch of government.

Tony Perkins is the embodiment of the reality that “Christian” “conservatism” is not about the Bible or the Constitution – it’s about hatred and cruelty.

Friday at the anti-gay Family Research Council run Values Voter Summit, “actor”  Dean Cain blasted gays and Twitter users who objected to the fact that he, who constantly says he is pro-LGBT rights would be appearing before the arch-conservative hate group.

Asked the moderator of Cain’s panel: “Have you taken pressure on Twitter on Instagram — and I know the answer to this question but I want to hear you say it anyway.”

Replied Cain:

“Yesssss. Certainly. I take that sort of heat and abuse every single day but it doesn’t bother me in the least…it doesn’t make me mad, it just shows people’s intolerance towards listening to another opinion. Just the fact that I’m here, just the fact that I’m here people were blowing me up all day long with the most ridiculous things that you could ever here. Talk about intolerance. It’s ridiculous. I take heat. It doesn’t bother me, I welcome it, because I sleep well at night. I know I’m doing something that matches my convictions and my heart and I’ll happily defend the things that I say and I stand for.”

Pressure on Twitter. Oh, my. The pain of it all.

Feel free to exercise your Constitutional First Amendment rights. And then let folks exercise theirs. And feel free to complain about them as they exercise their rights. But, if you think you don’t pay a price for the association with the Family Research Council, you’re wrong.

The Values Voter Summit is hosted and run by Tony Perkins and his LGBT hate group the Family Research Council

Other than Mike Pence other confirmed speakers include: Dr. Ben Carson, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin, actor Dean Cain, NRA propaganda mistress Dana Loesch, David Daleiden, Masterpiece Cakeshop owner Jack Phillips, Dr. Paul McHugh, Fox News Radio’s Todd Starnes, and Activist Mommy Elizabeth Johnston.

It’s a veritable Who’s Who of douchery.

The FRC is an organization that has relentlessly vilified LGBT people – portraying them as sick, vile, incestuous, violent, perverted, and a danger to children and the nation. Because of its demonizing lies about the LGBT community, it has been named as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins on Monday agreed with President Donald Trump’s sentiment that Democrats will become “violent” if they are allowed to win midterm elections. During a dinner with evangelical leaders, Trump raised the specter of violence to motivate Christian voters.

CNN’s Erica Hill spoke to Perkins on Wednesday after he attended the dinner with Trump. “He did make reference to Antifa, which in many ways has become the face of the left,” Perkins told Hill.

“I’m going to stop you for a second there,” Hill interrupted. “It’s a reach to say that Antifa is now the face of the left. I think that would be a bit of a stretch.” Perkins replied, “When you talk about violence, the violence is on the left. You see Antifa — you don’t see evangelicals out there rioting.”

To most people, July 19th is just another day. If you asked them what happened on this date 25 years ago, only a handful would probably know that President Bill Clinton made “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” the policy for America’s military. Even fewer would know that the summer of 1993 help set into motion a quarter-century war on marriage and the family.

Looking back on those days, most Americans are probably nostalgic for the days when sexuality wasn’t something people broadcasted. Back then, even the most liberal activists just wanted to “get the government out of their bedroom.” How far we’ve fallen. Now, two decades later, they want to take what happens in the bedroom and force Americans to celebrate it — at work, church, school, even (and especially) in government. Who knew 25 years ago that Christians would long for the days when everyone just went about their lives?

There were groups like FRC who recognized “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” for what it was: the first major crack in the foundation of marriage and human sexuality. Then, the next biggest shoe would drop — Lawrence v. Texas, the Supreme Court ruling that struck down Texas’s ban on sodomy.

The late Justice Antonin Scalia warned where their mistake would lead: “State laws against bigamy, same-sex marriage, adult incest, prostitution, masturbation, adultery, fornication, bestiality, and obscenity are likewise sustainable only in light of Bowers‘ validation of laws based on moral choices. Every single one of these laws is called into question by today’s decision; the Court makes no effort to cabin the scope of its decision to exclude them from its holding.”

Once you’ve rejected basic biology and 2,000 years of civilization, there are no boundaries. Surely, the world has learned its lesson since the first walls came tumbling down in 1993. First, activists said they just wanted to love who they loved. Then, they said they just wanted benefits — not marriage.

When liberals got marriage through the courts, they vowed not to force it on the states. After they forced it on the states, they said it wouldn’t lead to religious persecution. Even after county clerks were sent to jail and Christian bakers fined up to $135,000, they claim there’s no slippery slope. But after a track record of such intentional deception, who could (or should) believe them?

Some on the Left try to justify driving conservatives from public spaces by saying it’s the same as Christian bakers and florists, but the only ones denying service to people are liberals! Unlike the Red Hen’s owner, Christians Jack Phillips, Melissa Klein, and Barronelle Stutzman all offered to sell their customers anything in the store. They only objected to creating custom cakes for a wedding ceremony that’s they hold sacred.

Yet somehow, it’s okay for the side that tosses Trump supporters from bars and White House employees out of restaurants to force Christians – under penalty of law — to do what they will not? If liberals want to hurt themselves by turning away customers, that’s their choice. But let’s not conflate the two.

Meanwhile, the political costs of these kinds of intimidation tactics are steep. If all of this public shame and humiliation is meant to get people to disconnect and disassociate from the president’s policies, it’s not working. Trump’s supporters, the New York Times‘s Jeremy Peters warns, are only digging in deeper. There is, he points out, a very real “backlash to the backlash” of Trump. And it’s not just rallying conservatives – but people on the fence too.

If the president’s opponents think they can mob, heckle, and harass their way to power, they’re about to be disappointed. The president’s approval rating is the highest it’s ever been in the face of these attacks — and climbing. Maybe more Americans are starting to realize what the country would look like if the bullies take over (and wondering if they’ll ever get to eat out if they do!).

Sorry Tony. Being gay isn’t a choice and in some states (not nearly enough) is a protected class..  Being an evil lying bitch is and is not.

The Supreme Court today sent back to lower courts a similar dispute over a florist who declined to create flower arrangements for a same-sex wedding based on her “Christian” beliefs.

Reuters reports:

The justices threw out a 2017 ruing by Washington state’s Supreme Court that Barronelle Stutzman, owner of Arlene’s Flowers in the city of Richland, about 200 miles (320 km) southeast of Seattle, had violated the state’s anti-discrimination law and a consumer protection measure.

The court ordered the top Washington state court to revisit the case in light of its ruling on June 4 in favor of Colorado baker Jack Phillips, who similarly cited his Christian beliefs in refusing to make a wedding cake for a gay couple.

The Supreme Court’s 7-2 ruling earlier this month in the case of Jack Phillips, owner of Masterpiece Cakeshop, did not resolve whether an array of same-sex marriage opponents can refuse commercial services available to opposite-sex couples and leaves unresolved the central dispute between proponents of gay rights and religious objectors: whether anti-discrimination laws in 22 states

The latest anti-gay propaganda from Family Research Council hate group leader and linked white supremacist Herr Tony Perkins:

Under Barack Obama, world leaders were furious with the way the president used the State Department to export his LGBT agenda globally. Trump’s predecessor not only sent openly gay ambassadors into countries that are culturally opposed to homosexuality, they used foreign aid to bully other nations into accepting Obama’s twisted agenda.

He flew rainbow flags over our embassies in Muslim countries and appointed a special taxpayer-funded LGBT envoy whose sole purpose was forcing the president’s radical social agenda on reluctant countries. Under both Kerry and Hillary Clinton, DOS changed the rules for same-sex diplomats and openly demonized other countries that refused to recognize homosexuality as an international “human right.”

The Evangelical Association of the Caribbean was so outraged by the Obama administration’s harassment that when Donald Trump was elected, church leaders across the region pleaded with Donald Trump to stop using the State Department to browbeat the world into submission on issues that are still fiercely controversial in most of the world.

“We were coerced into accepting [the administration’s LGBT] agenda,” Pastor Paul Mursalin told me last year, “threatening fund withdrawal and a number of other things. And our governments are under severe pressure to relent. We now see a ray of hope under President Trump and Vice President Pence, where some of this can be reversed and give us a chance to maintain our traditional conservative Christian values on the issue.”

Mike Pompeo is that ray of hope. It’s unfortunate that a shill for the Human Rights Campaign like Cory Booker would smear a good man simply because he disagrees on an issue that still divides most of America.

A Slate report is alleging that “Vice President Mike Pence played a leading role” in the latest creation of Donald Trump’s newest tans-military ban”‘ and that he overruled objections from Defense Secretary Jim Mattis, who privately advocated for transgender service.

The new restriction reads: “Transgender persons with a history or diagnosis of gender dysphoria – individuals who the policies state many require substantial medical treatment, including medications and surgery – are disqualified from military service.”

Slate also states that two anti-LGBT hate group leaders, Ryan T. Anderson of the Heritage Foundation and Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council, helped Pence draft the report.

ThinkProgress also is reporting that Pence was involved, claiming: “Though it bears Mattis’ signature, the report released Friday appears to reflect the findings of Pence’s working group and not the committee report that Mattis submitted to Trump last month.

Last October, Tony Perkins said that openly gay, lesbian and transgender troops create “moral confusion” that leads to sexual harassment in the military and that militaries that allow LGBT people to serve are “the ones that participate in parades, they don’t fight wars to keep the nation and the world free”:
