Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson opened for the sideshow known as the Ted Cruz Campaign yesterday in Iowa City, IA by bashing gay marriage as ‘evil, wicked, and sinful’.

“Don’t you understand that when a fellow like me looks at the landscape and sees the depravity, the perversion — redefining marriage and telling us that marriage is not between a man and a woman? Come on Iowa! It’s nonsense. It is evil. It’s wicked. It’s sinful. They want us to swallow it, you say. We have to run this bunch out of Washington, D.C. We have to rid the earth of them. Get them out of there. Ted Cruz loves God.”

In response Cruz called Robertson “an extraordinary human being” and added “What a voice Phil has to speak out for the love of Jesus. What a joyful, cheerful, unapologetic voice of truth Phil Robertson is.”

Desperate For Ratings Another Duck Dynasty Dude Spreads The Anti-Gay Hate – Video

Duck Dynasty is FAKE

Now that their shows ratings have dropped over 50% on A&E,  Duck Dynasty’s resident fake redneck son (see picture above) and CEO of Duck Commander, Willie Robertson, told CNN’s Kyra Phillips today that he believes “what the Bible says” about gay people, standing behind his crazed father Phil Robertson’s anti-gay comments made last December.

“[Phil Robertson] paraphrased First Corinthians, where it talks about homosexuals, male prostitutes, drunkards, thieves.. that they’re all the same. Is that what you believe?” Phillips asked. Robertson responded:

“That’s what First Corinthians says… I believe what the Bible says, and so if that’s what [God] says, to put those in… now, you have to read the Bible and make up your own mind. You have to decide… That’s how it was said, yeah.”

Willie obviously didn’t make it to 1 Corinthians 11:14 “Does not even nature itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a dishonor to him”. If you are going to quote the damn thing as “gospel” then quote and follow it all, not just the parts that are convenient for you to and your narrow, bigoted view of the world.

Fuck Dynasty

Well NextDoorBuddies.com is first out of the duck blind and into the studio and has released the first Duck Dynasty gay porn film parody called  “Fuck Dynasty.”

For good friends Mark Long and Christian Cayden, being alone in the woods is nothing new. Hell, they’ve spent countless afternoons in the great outdoors, with just the two of them, and it’s never caused any issue. But there’s something in the air that makes today’s hunt different. Maybe it’s watching Cayden handle his new rifle that’s got Mark all worked up. Perhaps the thought of harnessing all that fire power has got Mark thinking what Christian could do with his rifle. Rollins did a take on the Duck Dynasty disaster in his recent blog for L.A. Weekly and came up with some pretty intersting points and ideas.

“A lot of Duck Dynasty fans’ outrage centered on A&E’s decision to suspend Mr. Robertson from the show. They easily move their anger from A&E to an imagined “liberal agenda,” which seems to involve disagreeing with (and being offended by) regressive, dumbass points of view, made possible by the First Amendment. [snip]

A&E would be well advised to get while the getting’s good and quadruple down on the show’s popularity with a vast array of merchandise, like a DD limited-edition shotgun, camo covers for Bibles, strap-on beards, and at least one spinoff. You could call it … Duck Dynasty. A&E should do this before the show’s fans die of respiratory/circulatory complications, substance abuse or lung cancer.

On the flip side of things, one of you supremely talented graphic artists should start a comic book series starring the Duck dudes as homosexual bears. Talk about crossover potential. The thing writes itself. At the next major gay pride event, there should be hard-bodied men in camo hot pants, ridiculous beards pasted to their chins, blowing through duck calls. Dick Dynasty is a gay porn series just waiting to happen.

Just remember: When you see the DD men all decked out in their camo gear, they look pretty bitchin’ and rugged — but keep in mind that they wear these garments to help them hide from ducks.

Okay so who’s ready to build the float.  By next Pride maybe we can get Aaron Schock to wear the camo hot pants.  I mean after all that is kind of his fashion sense.

 

AFA’s Bryan Fischer: ‘Duck Dynasty’ Controversy Proves ‘We (The Bigots) Are The Mainstream’

Milking the Duck Dynasty debacle for all it’s worth, Bryan FISTer Fischer of the American Family Association spoke with a caller about the “Duck Dynasty” controversy and declared that the main lesson of the entire fiasco was: – “that Phil Robertson and the American people like you and me that agree with him, that we are the mainstream. It’s the gay activists, it’s the gay lobby, they’re the ones that are on the fringe … [The ‘Duck Dynasty’ cast] represent the values that you and I and the great majority of Americans share”

Of course Fischer as usual is full of shit.  The only thing that that the Duck Dynasty flap proved was that our multi-million dollar LGBT organizations, namely GLAAD and the Human Rights Campaign are not able to truly handle these issues and should stick to throwing galas and hobnobbing with celebrities and politicians which is a very sad fact indeed.

In a bizarre turn of events for the A&E show, John Aravosis, from America Blog reported today that a “Duck Dynasty”-themed clock that speaks when a button is pushed appears to say the words, “Heil Hitler.” Though its probably (and hopefully) a recording malfunction the clock adds a new and truthful twist to Phil Robertson’s racist, sexist and homophobic comments.

In a rather odd trip to Walmart last night (it was mom’s idea), my family was in the “holiday” section looking through half-priced Christmas leftovers when my 17 year old nephew walks up holding a “Duck Dynasty ‘Si’ Clock.”  He pushes the button, and asks me what I think it’s saying.

I thought he’d asked me “who” it sounded like, and told him I didn’t know. No, he said, WHAT’s it SAYING?

My mom and my other nephew, before I could even answer, both respond: “Heil Hitler.”

No word yet if WalMart intends to double the price since it seems to play to the shows base audience.

When sucking on lemons try to make it seen like its a new way to drink lemonade so people don’t realize just how badly you you fucked-up and keep giving you money.

Via CNN:

“It’s not really a reversal,” Fred Sainz, a representative of the Human Rights Campaign, told CNN’s Brianna Keilar in a telephone interview on Friday. “We think it’s actually a positive outcome, and we want to thank A&E for their attentiveness and collaboration over the course of the last few weeks.”

Sainz said that his group was “heartened” by A&E’s plans for the public service announcement campaign. A spokesman for A&E declined to comment on whether Robertson or other “Duck Dynasty” cast members would participate in the campaign, but the channel is said to be hopeful that at least some of the cast members will.

“We’ve received assurances also that the Robertson family is now open to working with African-American and (lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender) people to address the real harm that such anti-gay and racist comments can cause,” Sainz said on CNN. “That’s been our ‘ask’ since Phil’s comments ran in GQ, and while it’s a positive step, it certainly cannot and should not be the last one.”

And for anyone out there that doesn’t believe that HRC and GLAAD are walking away from this with some monetary donation from A&E/Disney/Hearst you are just as delusional as HRC.

 

 

GLAAD Denounces A&E’s Ducky Dynasty Decision While Variety Reports They Were In On it.

GLAAD has finally issued a statement over A&E’s decision to reinstate anti-gay and racist “reality show” patriarch Phil Roberson of Duck Dynasty.

Via press release:

“Phil Robertson should look African American and gay people in the eyes and hear about the hurtful impact of praising Jim Crow laws and comparing gay people to terrorists. If dialogue with Phil is not part of next steps then A+E has chosen profits over African American and gay people – especially its employees and viewers.”

Variety reports though that GLAAD was in talks with A&E, knew about the decision beforehand and had promised the cable giant that their would be no major backlash.

A+E Networks CEO Nancy Dubuc and other top execs had extensive conversations with the Robertson clan about how to move forward with the show after the decision to suspend Phil Robertson sparked a furor about his right to voice his opinions.

The execs also kept in close contact with reps for GLAAD, the NAACP and other orgs in an effort to find a path to allowing the show to continue. 

Before A+E announced its reversal on Robertson’s suspension and plans for a PSA campaign aimed at promoting tolerance, GLAAD and NAACP were apprised of the cabler’s decision — ensuring that there would be no immediate backlash from the two prominent advocacy orgs.

Of course GLAAD’s press release above was written a full 12 hours after A&E’s announced their decision to re-instate Robertson and after gauging the reaction of the LGBT community. But don’t be fooled.  GLAAD was  actively involved with the decision to re-instate Robertson and they knew all about it beforehand.  Their latest press release was nothing more than smoke and mirrors in an attempt to save face and I am sure it will be the last one to be released about this whole Duck Dynasty debacle.

“The attacks on Phil Robertson revealed to the American people that the push to redefine marriage is less about the marriage altar than it is fundamentally altering America’s moral, political and cultural landscape. A&E Network’s reversal in the face of backlash is quite telling to the American people who are growing tired of GLAAD and cultural elites who want to silence people and remove God and His word from every aspect of public life.

“The goal of GLAAD is to silence anyone who dare challenge the idea that homosexuality is normal. However, the Robertson family’s refusal to cower to GLAAD’s bullying and the ensuing backlash to the suspension, unlike anything since Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day, finally forced A&E Network to withdraw the suspension. We’ve also seen these intimidation tactics used against wedding florists, bakers, photographers who have been hauled into court, fined and even ordered to violate their religious beliefs by participating in same-sex weddings.
