Twitter has an “Adult Behavior” TOS rule. Who knew?
The UK-based research collective has claimed that words such as “trans,” “gay,” “lesbian,” “queer,” and “bisexual” are being de-boosted on the social media website.
While the tweets containing these words themselves are not banned on the platform, the company’s approach to selecting which tweets can appear with a preview pane in direct messages might be a new content moderation approach according to the Trans Safety Network .
Musk, who has never been a supporter of the LGBT community and his company have also been accused of targeting accounts with LGBT accounts over anything that can be slightly “abusive’ or “offensive” using its new, never announced and selectively enforced “Adult Nudity” rule. Many gay-centric porn sites have recently disappeared or been banned outright while STR8 porn flourishes.
As for targeting for imagined slights. Those against the GOP are immediately banned but But Twitter has no problem with MAGA and the GOP expounding hate and in some cases violence against our community. (Libs of TikTok anyone?)
But I received a 7 day ban for the following tweet for “Abusive Behavior”:

In the 12 hours after Elon Musk closed the deal, instances of homophobic and racial slurs on the platform also shot up by 500%, according to an organization that studies social media activity.
Combating homophobia and abuse was a problem when Jack Dorsey owned the site. Since Musk’s takeover homophobia thrives and in some cases is encouraged and there is definitive targeting by the platform itself against LGBT users.
On Tuesday night, Trump threw some more fuel on the fire with a post on his Truth Social platform in which he posted a screed from Trump supporter Wayne Allyn Root entitled “Democrats Want to Indict & Arrest President Trump. They Want a War? Let’s Give It To Them.” The link leads to a falsehood-riddled commentary urging “red city DAs and red state AGs” to arrest a laundry list of Democratic political figures and others.
The list includes: Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, former President Barack Obama, former President Bill Clinton, George Soros, former AG Eric Holder, Mark Zuckerberg, Speaker Emeritus Nancy Pelosi, Dr. Anthony Fauci, Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden, VP Kamala Harris, and Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas.
Forget jail. Just frackng drone strike Donald Trump at this point.

A strategically placed ex-gay therapy billboard in one of Louisville Kentucky’s most densely LGBT populated neighborhoods is creating a major controversy with many Kentuckians demanding its removal.
But the founder of the group that created the Billboard, Daniel Mingo, denies that the ad targets homosexuality.
“This specifically targets people who have same-sex attractions that are unwanted,” said Mingo. “Abba’s delight” is a ministry that helps people of faith who are uncomfortable with their same-sex attractions.”
Mingo claims he had to “walk away from homosexuality” because of his religious preferences and the beliefs therein.
“Who else to help someone walk out of something that they don’t want to be in than someone else who has already walked that path?” said Mingo.
Chris Hartman, the director of the Fairness Campaign, is outraged by the advertisement and believes that it targets the gay community with anti-gay propaganda.
“To suggest that this organization is going to help someone is an exact obfuscation of the truth, it’s the opposite; they’re going to harm 90 percent of the people that walk in and out of their door,” said Hartman. “An organization like this really needs to be shut down.”
Abba’s Delight was founded in April 2008 in Louisville, Kentucky by Mingo, the Ministry Director. It is a “Christian”, Biblically based ministry-and of course a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization.
In a recent 2013 interview Mingo revealed that his publicity push of his group was because of Exodus Internatinal’s demise and also revealed that Abba’s Delight has no licensed professional counselors on staff.
Great. Another self loathing, charlatan homo making money and potentially harming LGBT people with a faux “Christian” group using the gayest name ever.

Many of you might not believe this. But way back when The Advocate was first published it ws done so by the activist group PRIDE (Personal Rights in Defense and Education) and was inspired by a police raid on Los Angeles gay bar the Black Cat Tavern. The first issue bore a cover date of September 1967 and by 1974 they were printing 40,000 copies for each issue until The Advocate transformed into a national news magazine covering events important to the GLBT community, including the gay rights movement, art and culture.
That is until 2010, when Here Media consolidated the distribution for The Advocate and Out magazines and it became the craptastic tabloid hot mess that it is today. (In 2010 there were press reports of freelance writers not being paid for their work.)
And in continuing its ever rocketing slide downhill this week The Advocate published it’s 3rd Annual “Gayest Cities in America, 2012. A list thats so mindbogglingly off point and misleading that people aren’t sure if its tounge in cheek or real and just insanely misguided. .
There’s the official census with information on same-sex couples as a percentage of the population, then there’s our accounting of the gayest places in the USA — and we know the twain shan’t meet. But do we really need another article telling us that the homos gather in West Hollywood and Hell’s Kitchen? That Northampton, Mass., is still Lesbianville, USA? (Don’t get us wrong, we love those places.) Instead, in our third annual accounting of the gayest places in America — according to our totally accurate if decidedly subjective criteria — we look at the per capita queerness of some less expected locales.
It’s no secret that megalopolises New York City, Chicago, and Los Angeles have robust LGBT life — and we’ve even heard tell of little queer hoods like the Castro and P-Town. This isn’t that list.
Well if “this isn’t that list” what the hell is the good is it except to spread misinformation and taking up space as filler?
The rankings based on a criteria, that sounds like it was written on a cocktail napkin during a drunk night at Revolver in WeHo icludes how many GLBT bookstores are in a city, how many nude yoga classes are offered, how many city softball teams compete in the Gay Softball World Series, even how many “Mr. Leather Competition” semifinalists hail from the area. Which is funny but then there are some more serious criteria, such as number of gay/lesbian/bi/transgender elected officials and the existence of laws prohibiting discrimination.
So basically this is a list who’s criteria is so insane that Salt Lake City, UT ranks at Number 1. Yes the state that hosts The Mormon Church who does everything it can to thwarth same sex marriage. I mean thats SO GAY, isn’t it? And no offense LGBT SLCer’s even you know its not true.

Oh, for all you queers by the Bay. San Francisco, CA was given an honorable mention. But let me ask. Whats it like to think that The Advocate thinks that Little Rock, Ark is gayer than you?
It would be one thing if this list were funny. It would be another thing of this list was serious. But as it is this list is nothing more than garbage made up by The Advocate to fill space and has no real “gay friendly” bearings on anything.
So please peole. DO NOT show up in Little Rock. Ark or Knoxville. Tenn wearing a leather harness and waving a rainbow flag. You might not get the reception you were led to believe from The Advocate.
As for The Advocate and your stupid, misleading, and downright dangerous list. If you are so in need of filler perhaps you should consider stop printing trash like this and bring back the“Trader Dick” classified advertising section at least that was a fun and interesting read.

El Caminito del Rey is a walkway or via ferrata, now fallen into disrepair, pinned along the steep walls of a narrow gorge in El Chorro, near Álora in the province of Málaga, Spain
Thewalkway was built in 1901 for the hydroelectric power plants at Chorro Falls and Gaitanejo Falls to cross between the falls, to provide for transport of materials, and for the inspection and maintenance of the channel.
The walkway is one meter (3 feet and 3 inches) in width, and rises over 100 meters (350 feet) above the river below. It is currently in a highly deteriorated state and there are numerous sections where part or all of the concrete top has collapsed away. The result is large open air gaps that are bridged only by narrow steel beams or other support fixtures. Very few of the original handrails exist but a Via ferrata safety-wire runs the length of the path. Several people have lost their lives on the walkway in recent years and after two fatal accidents in 1999 and 2000
Despite the local government closing both entrances thrill seeking hikers still walk the path today.
For almost the past two years Joe Solmonese and the Human Rights Campaign have been telling the LGBT Community that that they had a plan, the White House had a plan, and that they were working together and the plan was going perfectly in the fight for our Equal Rights. But we were lied to. Lied to by our largest, best funded, most influential group. A group that has been in existence for over 30 years whose mission according to their webpage “advocates on behalf of LGBT Americans, mobilizes grassroots actions in diverse communities, invests strategically to elect fair-minded individuals to office and educates the public about LGBT issues. And envision an America where lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people are ensured equality and embraced as full members of the American family at home, at work and in every community. And how did they try to do this? By 18 months of brown-nosing, sucking up and “secret White House meetings “instead of fighting for our rights and because of that we now have jack shit thanks to the HRC. And when “we” saw this coming. When “we” knew that Solmonese and HRC were taking the wrong path for well over the past year as John Avarois of AmericaBlogGay writes “(we were) routinely dismissed by HRC, which has preferred to focus on the Congress while at the same time covering the President’s ass. Don’t protest at the White House, don’t criticize the President, don’t be mean to Jim Messina. What do those crazy bloggers know? They just hate HRC and aren’t as sophisticated at politics as the brilliant folks over at the Human Rights Campaign.
Well good fucking work there Einstein’s.
This was our best chance. And probably the only good one that we would have for a very long time, And Joe Solmonese and The Human Rights Campaign blew it. And then not only to add to their incompetence they blatantly lied to us to keep their donations coming in and to cover their cushy jobs and reputation.
Over a year ago Joe Solmonese assured us, after meeting with Jim Messina, that “They have a vision, they have a plan.” And as little as two months ago Joe Solmonese told an audience of HRC donors, that DADT would be repealed this year, just as everything was beginning to come out and fall apart. And during this all. Joe Solmonese still found the time to gadfly to Sundance and London while any hopes what we had for even something that should have been as simple as the DADT repeal crumbled.
We have been lied to and bamboozled by our own organization, Even “if”, (and that’s a VERY BIG “if”) Joe Solmonese and the HRC claim that they were “played” by the White house and the Obama Administration after 30 years of lobbying then they well betond repair and have no business representing us in Washington any longer.
Is the Human Rights Campaign beyond repair? Perhaps. But after this fiasco, with all it’s covering up, lies, non-transparency, and ineptitude it has been dealt a very serious blow and if it ever is to recover in the eyes of the LGBT Community it must start now.
The Board of Director’s of the Human Rights Campaign MUST remove Joe Solmonese as President of the organization immediately. (If Joe had any self-respect knowing what he did and how loathe the LGBT Community is of him he would resign)
Will removing Solmonese magically fix the HRC? No. But it’s a start. And the Human Rights campaign will need to make a massive overall of the organization and it’s strategy if it’s ever to be trusted by the LGBT Community again. But to keep a man who either blatantly lied to the LGBT Community about our “supposed” progress or was either too stupid to actually realize that that it was all a sham is not only insulting to the Community but as has been proven over the past few years ineffectual, wasteful and dangerous to the fight for our rights.
