The Mormon Church Releases Statement Opposing The LGBT Equality Act

Mormon Leader Once Again Reaffirms LDS Church’s Opposition to Gay Marriage and Parenting

Mormon leader Dallin H. Oaks, a member of a top governing body called the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles,  reaffirmed the Mormon stance against same-sex marriage and reminded followers watching around the world that children should be raised in families led by a married man and woman no matter what becomes the norm in a “declining world”  during a church conference Saturday.

“We have witnessed a rapid and increasing public acceptance of cohabitation without marriage and same-sex marriage. The corresponding media advocacy, education, and even occupational requirements pose difficult challenges for Latter-day Saints,” Oaks said. “We must try to balance the competing demands of following the gospel law in our personal lives and teachings even as we seek to show love for all.”

Oaks also told members of the nearly 16-million member faith watching around the world that the religion’s 1995 document detailing the doctrine — “The Family: A Proclamation to the World” — isn’t’ a policy statement that will be changed.

A year ago, church leaders updated a website created in 2012 to let members know that that attraction to people of the same sex is not a sin or a measure of their faithfulness and may never go away. But the church reminded members that having gay sex violates fundamental doctrinal beliefs that will not change.

The Osmond Family To Host Anti-Gay Marriage Hate Rally In SLC Utah

Alan Osmond, best known for his years as one of the Osmond Family singers. (The one with the mutton chops) and his wife Suzanne (along with various “other” Osmond Family members) are taking time off from performing in Branson, MO to hold an anti-gay marriage hate rally in Salt Lake City, Utah at the State House called: “A Celebration of Marriage – Every Child Deserves A Mom and Dad” that will coincide with the Supreme Court cases over Prop 8 and DOMA and also the National Organization For Marriage’s hate march in Washington, DC:

Alan Osmond  currently serves on the high council of the Orem Suncrest Stake in Orem, Utah for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints recently penned an anti-gay article for the Mormon website The Family, which is run by “The Osmond Network LLC” and is linked to by the “Official Osmond Family Website”

In Osmond’s article (which you can read by clicking HERE) he states that being gay is not genetic and that reparative therapy does work. He also goes on to quote LDS President Gordon B. Hinckley who has said in the past “Prophets of God have repeatedly taught through the ages that practices of homosexual relations, fornication, and adultery are grievous sins. Sexual relations outside the bonds of marriage are forbidden by the Lord. We affirm those teachings.”

Theres been no word on whether Marie Osmond and her lesbian daughter will be attending.

Utah’s LGBT Anti-discrimination Bill Dies In Senate Because of the Mormon Church

Mormon Church Kills LGBT bill

SB 262,  a bill offering protection against discrimination to lesbian, gay, bi-sexual and transgender individuals in housing and workplace environments not brought up for discussion Monday on the Senate floor, effectively killing it for 2013 because of lack of votes and issues with the Mormon Church.

Utah Senate President Wayne Niederhauser, R-Sandy, said the bill didn’t have the votes, so it was wise to spend the day focused on bills that potentially could be forwarded to the House. He said The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was one of several parties involved in discussions on the measure.

Sen. Steve Urquhart who sponsored the bill called news conference late Monday, Urquhart expressed frustration the bill didn’t come up for a vote, but said he has seen significant progress on the issue. He said in his 13 years in the Legislature, he has seen a lot of issues that are entrenched, but he said he sees movement on the equity issue.

Sen. Jim Dabakis, D-Salt Lake City, who is gay, added “The votes just weren’t there, but the work continues one senator at a time, one vote at a time.  We really did come this close. We just didn’t close the gap. We’ll begin in a couple of weeks to start sitting down and see if we can finally come to a conclusion with the LDS Church,” Dabakis said.

Hasn’t anyone in this country ever heard of “separation of church and state” or “cult and state” in this case.

Catholic League’s Bill Donohue: Kathy Griffin Helps Promote STD’s and AIDS

Kathy Griffin bowjob

“Perhaps the biggest story related to Kathy Griffin’s salacious stunt on CNN’s New Year’s Eve broadcast with Anderson Cooper was the almost deadening silence it engendered from any quarter. Does it matter what Griffin did? To put it more generally, does what we see and hear have any effect on our behavior, particularly the behavior of young people? Does it matter? According to the Centers for Disease Control, even though the risk of transmitting HIV through oral sex is much lower than from other forms of sexual behavior, ‘numerous studies have demonstrated that oral sex can result in the transmission of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).’ In other words, people can get chlamydia, gonorrhea, genital herpes, genital human papillomavirus, syphilis, and other STDs by having oral sex. This is important because numerous studies have shown that many young people still think they cannot get an STD this way.” – The Catholic League’s  Bill Donohue, on Griffin’s pretend blowjob on CNN New Years Eve.

Lets go out on a limb here and say that you CANNOT get a STD or AIDS from simulating oral sex
on a gay man while fully clothed on live TV.

The Catholic church has worked so long and hard to prevent any actual sex education or contraception that even a hint of sex throws them into a tizzy.

In my best Kathy impersonation of her mother, “Jesus Christ, Kathleen! Why do have to go & pick on the goddamned Catholics all time for Christ’s sake?”

North Carolina Man Imprisoned and Abused by Church Cult Because He Is Gay

22-year-old Michael Lowry is suing his Rutherford County church for holding him hostage for four months against his will while he was physically and emotionally abused because he is gay.

In a statement given to a sheriff’s department investigator last week, Lowry said that he was kept in a church building of Word of Faith Fellowship Church, a nondenominational Christian congregation in Spindale, North Carolina from Aug. 1 to Nov. 19, 2011.

Lowry said he first told his family and church leaders of his sexual orientation when he was 15 or 16. That set off years of harassment and abuse, he said, as church members tried to expel the demon that they believed caused his homosexuality.

On Aug. 1, 2011, he said he was taken by church members to the Word of Faith complex and placed in a building with other men and boys having trouble at home.  Lowry took a shower at the church, during which his handlers accused him of masturbating. He told investigators that he was roughed up and eventually knocked unconscious

“The doors were locked, it was jail,” he said. “You weren’t allowed to speak to your family. Many of the men had wives and children but they weren’t able to communicate with them.  Blastings were common“, he said. (“Blasting,” is a form of hands-on, high-pitched, screaming prayer, a ritual that has landed the Word of Faith Church on “Inside Edition” and YouTube.)

Sam and Jane Whaley started Word of Faith in 1979, and the couple have been running it continuously since 1985. Jane Whaley says the church now has 750 members. It operates from a 35-acre complex, 65 miles west of Charlotte.

Word of Faith has also been accused of enforcing extensive control over its congregation.

Former members interviewed by the Observer in 2000 say they were told where to live, where to work, what to read, how to dress or even when it was OK to have sex with their spouses.

Brent Childers, executive director of Faith in America, said in a statement that Lowry’s case is “the most disturbing I’ve encountered” in the six years he’s worked with the group.

WATCH Secret Mormon Rituals That Mitt Romney and the LDS Hide Exposed On Videotape

There are many who say that Mitt Romney’s “religion”, Mormonism has absolutely nothing to do with his Presidential run.  But I beg to differ.

The religion of Mormonism’s rituals have been hidden from the public eye for well over a century now.

The Church has such a power hierarchy in place that it regularly commands Mormon Utah politicians on what to do and how to vote.  And any deviation from its religious teachings or thought thereof from anyone is a position of power id grounds for ex-communication a fate which many Mormons fear as a fate worst than death.  And this will go for Mitt Romney also.

For the first time in the 170+ year history of secret Mormon temple activity, those activities have been captured on film with a hidden camera.

Watch with your own eyes the sworn oath, known as the “Law of Consecration,” that US Presidential candidate Mitt Romney has raised his arm to the square and vowed to obey, an oath that requires faithful Mormons to consecrate 100% of their current AND FUTURE time, talents and everything they will ever be blessed with, to the Mormon church and its goal to achieve a worldwide theocracy headed by Mormons.

This just further proves that if Mitt Romney is voted in as President that there will not be any separation of Church and State.  And the Church that will be in power will be the Mormon Church

MN Vikings Chris Kluwe Defends Mother Of Gay Son After Archbishop Tells Her To Reject Him Or Go To Hell

John Becker of  Truth Wins Out has reported an upsetting story of Minnesota Archbishop John Nienstadt who responded to a parishioner’s letter by telling her that she should reject her gay son or she too will go to hell

I write to inform you that the teaching of the Catholic Church on homosexuality,a s described in paragraphs 2357 and 2358 and 2359 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church is rooted in Scripture and based on the Natural Moral Law. It, therefore, shares in God’s revelation to us. Catholics are bound in conscience to believe this teaching. Those who do not cannot consider themselves to be Catholic and ought not to participate in the sacramental life of the Church. Indeed, some might find this is a hard saying by many of Jesus’ teachings were likewise received as such. I urge you to reconsider the position that you expressed in your letter. Your eternal salvation may well depend upon a conversation of heart on this topic.

Well this is something that LGBT advocate and amazing straight ally Chris Kluwe of the Minnesota Vikings would just not stand by for.

“Tell me, Archbishop, Pope, what purpose does the Church serve attempting to influence the affairs of a secular state? The federal benefits under law currently denied gay couples certainly fall under the realm of Caesar, don’t they? No one is forcing the Catholic Church to marry gay couples if that is not the Church’s wish. You can keep the sanctity of Catholic marriage solely between heterosexual couples if you feel that is what’s required (again though, I caution you on the dangers of presumed infallibility). All we are asking is for you to extend the open hand of tolerance instead of the closed fist of fear and hate.

“As American citizens, we respect the right for everyone to practice whichever religion they so choose, including the right to not practice one at all. Haven’t we learned enough from the Crusades, the Inquisitions, the Talibans of the world? What does it benefit the Church to attempt to influence secular policy in this country, especially when that influence is to deny basic human rights to others? Will you now assume Caesar’s throne, grasping the transitory ephemera of worldly power and control, while forsaking the eternal kingdom of Heaven?” – Vikings punter Chris Kluwe

In a short time Chris Kluwe has become an incredibly intelligent, passionate and articulate spokesman for LGBT community.

If only the Human Rights Campaign and American politicians would be so forceful and eloquent in answering the Church and standing up for LGBT Equality.

We all owe Chris Kluwe a HUGE THANK YOU!

New York Times Exposes Anti-Gay Cardinal Timothy Dolan Paid Off Pedophile Priests

The New York Times last night reprted that the vehnemently anti-gay and sanctimonious Cardinal Timothy Dolan  paid pedophile priests to go away, rather than turning them in to authorities and tarnish the Cathoic Church and the Archdiocese.

Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan of New York authorized payments of as much as $20,000 to sexually abusive priests as an incentive for them to agree to dismissal from the priesthood when he was the archbishop of Milwaukee.

Questioned at the time about the news that one particularly notorious pedophile cleric had been given a “payoff” to leave the priesthood, Cardinal Dolan, then the archbishop, responded that such an inference was “false, preposterous and unjust.” But a document unearthed during bankruptcy proceedings for the Archdiocese of Milwaukee and made public by victims’ advocates reveals that the archdiocese did make such payments to multiple accused priests to encourage them to seek dismissal, thereby allowing the church to remove them from the payroll. A spokesman for the archdiocese confirmed on Wednesday that payments of as much as $20,000 were made to “a handful” of accused priests “as a motivation” not to contest being defrocked. The process, known as “laicization,” is a formal church juridical procedure that requires Vatican approval, and can take far longer if the priest objects.

The (organized) Catholic Church is the oldest, largest most powerful organized crime entity on the planet. They have a very lamentable history of murder (and support of genocide around the world), bribery, extortion, purjury, torture, kidnapping, fraud, theft and sexual abuse crimes beyond the ability of most people’s comprehension.

But still thier followers stay with them and the Goverment turns a blind eye to all of it.

If anything this “payoff” incident falls under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act. (RICO) and Dolan shoul;d be proscecuted to maximum extent of the law.

Dolan also has a long history of declaring his hate for the gay community while insulting gay people and working to deny them equal protections.  Dolan led the religious opposition to New York’s civil same-sex marriage law, during which he compared extending marriage to gays and lesbians to communist dictatorships, incest and argued that it would be “perilous” and “detrimental for the common good.”

The only thing I see “detrimental for the common good” is Cardinal Timothy Dolan.
