A Cincinatti, Ohio emergency room nurse has “resigned” after having a transphobic, homophobic meltdown on Facebook over Procter & Gamble removing the female “Venus” symbol from its packaging on its ‘Always’ menstrual products last week
Cindy Carter, who worked for Tri-Health posted the following on Facebook:
Fuck ‘Always.’ This country has gone to complete shit,”
Why do certain applications ask for LEGAL SEX … you’re either male or female. There’s no fucking in between. Jesus people – get your heads on straight. Grab a mirror – it’s easy. You either have a dick or you don’t.
I swear, these fucking cock sucking homos think that they deserve everything. And the confused woman are just as bad. Men need to be men. Women need to be women. Stop the stupid ass ‘man buns’ and man you buns up to do some hard labor.”
Tri-Health a major Cincinnati health provider, opened an investigation on the allegations after openly gay Cincinnati City Councilman Chris Seelbach shared a screenshot of the post on his Twitter account.
“Cindy Carter is a nurse at @TriHealth. As an LGBTQ+ person, I don’t feel comfortable using their services until I know Mrs. Carter would never treat me,” he wrote. “Until TriHealth terminates the employment of Carter, I will not be using their services,” he concluded adding the hashtag #BoycottTriHealth.
On Thursday, TriHealth CEO Mark Clement released a statement saying that the investigation was over, “because the individual involved in this matter “voluntarily” resigned her position.” and went on to say that the company, which employs roughly 11,500 individuals, does not “condone these derogatory comments made about LGBTQ community members.”
There are no words. (Well actually there are but most of them are expletives.)
Cincinnati, OH FOX news affiliate FOX19 is reporting that police are searching for three suspects accused of knocking a man unconscious with an iron before robbing him. But what they are not reporting that this is potentially a gay hate crime.
“According to authorities, the victim met the three men at Shooters, a bar located on Race Street downtown, on February 11th. From the bar, they all went back to the victim’s home to hang out and drink, sometime after 8 p.m.
That’s when the three suspects reportedly hit the victim in the back of the head several times with an iron. Police say the he attempted to fight them off but was knocked unconscious.
The three men then ransacked his apartment and took several items.”
The bar in question Shooters is a gay country and western bar, one of the few gay bars located in downtown Cininnati and one of the best known.
While it should be any surprise to no one that a FOX affiliate would straight-wash a news story the fact is that its a common problem in Cinci-nasty and other parts of the midwest.
If you don’t talk about gay people, they don’t exist.
The Cincinnati Police Department’s Homicide Unit and the Cincinnati Police Fugitive Apprehension Unit have arrested and charged Eugene Carlos Dukes,19, of killing of Kendall L. Hampton, a transgender-nonconforming person who had “reportedly” had been involved in sex work.
Kendall Hampton’s body was discovered on On August 18th in the parking lot of a Cincinnati convenience store last Saturday, reported Fox 19. She was pronounced dead later that night at the city’s University Hospital. .
Cincinnati Police Department’s homicide unit continues their investigation into the murder but has not ruled Kendall’s murder a hate crime. But The Buckeye Region Anti-Violence Organization is calling the murder a hate crime and believes the victim was targeted because of the shooter’s perception of Hampton’s gender identity and expression. “We at BRAVO believe that this incident underscores the importance for renewed discussion and action on hate crime against the LGBT communities,” said Gloria McCauley, executive director of BRAVO. In 2011, BRAVO documented over 111 reported incidents of anti-LGBT hate crime in Ohio.
Local news stations in Cincinnati have reported Kendall’s murder posted with many problems including, referring to the victim as a “man” and using the pronoun, “he.” And with some stations tried to scrub all mention of sexuality from the report, while other Cincinnati news outlets sensationalized it in a negative way.
