The National Rifle Association had negative – US $31.8 million on hand at the end of 2017, according to the form all nonprofits must file with the IRS. The group, which spent an average of $278.3 million a year, has had a negative balance at the end of six of the previous 10 years.
Now that the organizations financial dire straits have been made public. The NRA is sinking to even lower depths to try to bring in some money.
The National Rifle Association is encouraging people to buy its membership by playing on the fact that service members will be away from their families during the holidays.
In the two-minute spot released on December 12, NRA President Oliver North points out, “As we gather with loved ones this holiday season, tens of thousands of American soldiers, sailors, airmen, guardsmen, and Marines won’t be home this year.”
North then encourages supporters to buy NRA memberships because, as he claims, “the very freedoms” service members are “protecting are under siege from powerful, wealthy oligarchs who are financing a disarm-America movement.”
“I know what it’s like to be away from home for the holidays. I learned as a US Marine the only way to rout a determined adversary is to stand and fight. And I know the only organization with the strength and resolve to defeat the Disarm America Movement is the #NRA.” #Christmaspic.twitter.com/LYmWhTUr5G

Anti-gay activist Scott Lively has had a long and bigoted career ranging from re-writing history and claiming that the Nazi’s were really “vicious gays” to going all the way to Uganda to preach his evil hate about the LGBT community and prodding them to put its LGBT citizens to death. But now Lively is beginning to pay for his evil sins he has been found writing money-begs to other anti-gay groups urging them to join him in pushing to the passage of Russian-style anti-gay laws in America and elsewhere – and of course, send cash.
Lively hysterically bragged that he is being targeted by gay activists because his Abiding Truth Ministries is “one of the most feared and hated pro-family organizations in the world and the downside of being oh so “feared” and hated is that he is now facing a lawsuit stemming from his anti-gay activism in Uganda, which is why Lively was begging for money in the first place since his “feared” hate group grifts bring in pennies and his legal bills are mounting
“My friends, SMUG v Lively is truly a David v Goliath battle. I’m running a one-man office on a shoestring budget of less than $120,000 per year, provided almost entirely by donations of $50 and $100 from average people. Our donor base is small, mostly elderly, and very difficult to expand due to the success of the anti-Lively propaganda. While Liberty Counsel has been funding our legal defense, this lawsuit has nevertheless caused us major financial hardship and seriously threatens our future.
Frankly, I question whether ATM will survive the decade without greater support from the individuals scattered across the society who recognize the danger of the LGBT agenda and are willing to stand with us financially against it. That can only happen if the people who already support us encourage their like-minded friends and allies to donate to us.
In a separate email to hate groups abroad Lively declared that “the Leaders and Activists of the LGBT movement are malicious deceivers and evil-doers, deliberately subverting civilized society and viciously attacking all opponents to advance their selfish and self-destructive interests” and called for anti-gay activists to focus on preventing the passage of antidiscrimination ordinances that protect sexual orientation in places where they don’t already exist and repealing them where they do. :
We need to build international pro-family solidarity on a foundation of genuine moral authority, meaning it must rest on the premise that homosexuality itself is personally and socially harmful, and not pretend that our only social and political interests are the “welfare of children” or the “definition of marriage.” That pretense is a product of the same diseased pro-family “leadership” that marched the American pro-family movement from one disastrous defeat to the next for the past three decades, and it is now being exported to the rest of the world by the same men.
The beauty of the Russian law is it cuts right to the heart of the real problem of LGBT advocacy: the recruitment of children. What I mean by recruitment of children is not primarily the sexual exploitation of young people by adult homosexuals, though that represents a dark current within the larger “gay” culture, especially among the men. What I mean is the normalization of homosexual conduct and culture to children and youths, leading them to engage in homosexual experimentation among themselves and subsequently self-identify as “gay.” An entire generation of American, British and Canadian children has been enslaved to this corrupt culture and ideology through the very propaganda that Russia has now banned.
While numerous countries of the African continent have chosen a much stricter approach, seeking to deter all homosexual conduct through harsh criminal sanctions, the Russian law balances the privacy rights of adult homosexuals (who choose to live discretely outside the mainstream of society) with the need of the nation to protect its children from the ravages of sexual perversion. It deters the LGBT lobby from attempting to mainstream the “gay” lifestyle, while granting the individual members of its community the “right to be left alone” that was the original stated goal of their movement in its early years, before it adopted the militant fascist tactics it is known for today”
Alan Chambers (left) the Exodus International ex-gay group President and Rowan & Martin’s Laugh In look-a-like of Alan Sues, has cancelled its “Love Won Out” conference due to a lack of interest and money, Ex-Gay Watch reports.
“It is with great disappointment that we are notifying you today that the Love Won Out Conference scheduled for May 19th at Legacy Church in Albuquerque, N.M., has been cancelled,” Exodus’ senior director of events David Fountain said in an email, which was sent out to planned attendees.
Exodus International’s last conference barely brought in 400 people.
Truth Wins Out says, “This is a positive development and signals the decline of this organized lie in the United States” on its website. “The cancellation of this conference, the first time we know of since either Exodus or Focus on the Family held the event, appears to provide more evidence of their decline,”
In November of last year, Exodus held a secret meeting about its fundraising strategies and how to keep the group from social and financial oblivion and has reduced its staff and lost important supporters.
Fountain suggested that individuals who paid for the event might “Automatically convert all or part of your registration fees into a tax-deductible gift to support the ministry efforts of Exodus International.”
The ex-gay brainwahing group otherwise known as Exodus International has posted a passive/agressive plea for Right Wingnut Welfare claiming that EI had a very bad year.
“Dear friends, please pray for us at Exodus. We have experienced an unexpectedly low giving season this summer coupled with much higher expenses (insurance, utilities, etc). Sadly, we have had to let several staff go. Your prayers are appreciated. For those who are also having to endure this unfriendly economy, our prayers are with you!” – Exodus International President, Alan Manning Chambers
Well if we have nothing else to thank this god awful economy for, iat least, hopefully it will be the extinction of some of you homophobes, liars, cheats, bigots and haters…
Hopefully your anti-gay gravy train is drying up. You self loathing loser.
Remember this phrase Alan you might need it in the future. “You want fries with that?”
