Self-loathing Tacky Designer Stefano Gabbana of D&G: “Don’t call me gay!”

A virtual  super-majority of high-profile fashion designers, including Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs and Sophie Theallet, have publicly refused to dress the incoming first “lady” Melania Trump. In contrast, Stefano Gabbana happily posted a photo of Trump wearing one of their dresses on New Years Eve dress, which retails for an obscene $2,995 at Saks Fifth Avenue, to his Instagram account, with the hashtags #DGwoman and #madeinitaly.

When being called out on Twitter for the fact that the gay D&G team took pride in the fact that the Trump wife wore one of their creations Gabbana fired back at the user, “Dont call me gay please!! I’m a man!!! Who I love its my private life”.

This isn’t the first time that D&G has shown its slef-loathing homophobic side. In 2015, he and his design partner, Domenico Dolce, faced a backlash after claiming that children of same-sex parents were “children of chemistry, synthetic children. Uteruses for rent, semen chosen from a catalog” in an interview with Italy’s Panorama magazine

Dolce went even further, adding, “I am gay, I cannot have a child. I guess you cannot have everything in life. Life has a natural course, some things cannot be changed. One is the family.”

Here is a hastag for Dolce & Gabbana

Actress Zoe Salanda On The Red Carpet At The GLAAD Media Awards: Boycotting Dolce & Gabbana Is The “Stupidest Thing” – Video

zoe

Actress Zoe Saldana who was in attendance at last weeks ever irrelevant GLAAD Media Awards had a few choice words to say about the Dolce & Gabbana  “synthetic children” and gay adoption remarks.  But they were all supporting D&G and her remarking that her boycotting Dolce and Gabbana over the remarks   “would be the stupidest thing.”

Said Saldana:

“No! Not at all, that would be the stupidest thing if it affected my fashion choice…People are allowed to their own opinion, however, I wouldn’t have chosen to be so public about something that’s such a personal thing. I’m certainly not going to stop wearing Dolce, and I’m certainly not going to be refuting when they are adopting synthetic children, however they wanted to say it. I do think things are lost in translation…

“My husband (Marco Perego) is from Italy and if I judged him based on the words that he misuses in our English language he wouldn’t be here today. It’s like ‘Look people, have a drink, relax, it’s okay.’ Obviously it caused some sensitivity, but then again if you continue to follow the news, you see they all kinda hugged it out, so why are we making a big deal about it?”

Oh God forbid that anything comes between her and fashion. Would Salanda still be defending them and wearing their brand if their ‘personal opinion’ was the traditional view that called mixed race children abominations?  And to say this on the red carpet at the GLAAD Awards? A organization that is supposed to defend the LGBT community from defamation.  The woman’s either a total fucking idiot or a world class bitch.

I’d boycott her.  if she ever did anything worth boycotting.

Ally my ass.

National Organization for Marriage Hails Dolce & Gabbana As “Wonderful Advocates For The True Definition of Family”

DGNOM

It seems like Done & Gone aka Dolce and Gabbana have made some friends over that the anti-gay group The National Organization for Marriage.

On todays NOM blog:

While Dolce and Gabbana continue to be attacked as “hypocrites”, what their critics have failed to do is prove them wrong. Every child is born to and deserves to be raised by a committed, married father and mother, and same-sex marriage will always strip away at least one essential piece of the family.

Bravo to Dolce and Gabbana for daring to speak the truth; they are as bold in their speech as they are in their designs, and deserve to be applauded. While others will continue to vent their disagreement, the billionaire pair are wonderful advocates for the true definitions of marriage and family.

I, for one, cannot wait to see Maggie Gallagher  in her fabulous new tent frock.

WTF?! – Dolce & Gabbana Disgustingly Compare Themselves to Charlie Hebdo – “Je Suiss D&G”

D&G

After trying to weedle their way out of their anti-gay comments on Sunday by releasing a statement reading: “It was never our intention to judge other people’s choices. We do believe in freedom and love.” and that Dolce was expressing his personal views “without judging other people’s choices.”  Stefano Gabbana seeing it was not working took to Instagram not much later to compare their situation to that of Charlie Hebdo magazine which was the victim  of a gun attack o, which left 12 people dead.

The unmitigated gall  of comparing and playing victim to tragedy where people are physically attacked and killed for satire is very different from people choosing to  not to buy D&G’s overpriced crap because they offended millions of people. It is not only insane but offensive beyond words.  How dare they exploit other people’s deaths and compare it to them losing profits and reputation.

If their original remarks were not enough to drive you to #BoycottDolceGabbana this is.
