Arkansas State House Representative Candidate Justin Jones: “Fags Are Disgusting” *UPDATED*

A Libertarian Party (ie Republican in disguise) candidate for state representative is being asked to “immediately abandon” his campaign after he made homophobic Facebook comments saying “fags are disgusting” and linking homosexuality to HIV.

Justin Jones, running for District 87 in northwest Arkansas, made the comments using his personal Facebook account in response to a Hawaii woman’s post about her gay friend being unable to donate blood.

Myah Baeza, whose personal political beliefs range from Republican to Libertarian, wrote: “”This is such an antiquated rule and it disgusts me. Women can have AIDS, too, and they search for it anyways?”

“Knowing that my gay friends can’t give blood, that has always not sat well with me,” Baeza told NBC affiliate KARK in an interview on Monday.

But Jones responded to her post, writing: The likelihood of a fag catching HIV is 1000% more likely than any straight person.”

“Why in God’s name would you say that?” Baeza wrote back.

“Because it’s true,” Jones replied.

The Benton County Libertarian Party disavowed Jones’ remarks and calling on him to drop out of the race.

“Mr. Jones was until very recently a Republican supporter and candidate. He came to the Libertarian Party, as have many others, because of his dissatisfaction with their failed policies and actions. The bigotry he brought with him, however, is certainly not welcome and will not be tolerated by the Benton County Libertarian Party, the Libertarian Party of Arkansas, or the national Libertarian Party; nor should it be tolerated by any decent person of any political party,” Michael Kalagias, the county party chair said in a statement.

But Jones will not drop out

“In response to the backlash caused by the media, it has been brought to my attention that I should suspend my campaign,” Jones wrote in a statement posted to his website. “After a phone call with the Chair of the Benton County Libertarian Party, Michael J. Kalagias, I informed him, that I will continue my candidacy for State Representative. My candidacy is about the people of Elm Springs, Siloam Springs, Springdale, and Tontitown. My campaign will continue to fight on the behalf of District 87. I would like to thank everyone for their support in my growing campaign.”

As for Baeza, she’s since blocked Jones on Facebook, meaning she no longer has to associate with him. But that said, she still feels his comments were inappropriate.

Former FRC Employee Josh Duggar Sues for Being Outed as Incestuous Child Molester

In case you’ve  forgotten.

Back in May of 2015,  In Touch  magazine alleged that,  Josh Duggar of the TLC reality show 19 and Counting and a leader at Tony Perkins’ anti-LGBT hate group the Family Research Council had  molested several young girls, including two of his sisters, while they slept. Not only that, but his parents, Jim Bob and Michelle, knew about it and tried to cover it up. After the story broke, Josh admitted the molestations occurred but insisted that God had forgiven him. As a result, TLC canceled the Duggars’ reality show and Josh lost his job at the FRC.

Now Josh who works as a used car salesman for his younger brother in Arkansas is suing on the grounds that  claims that investigators with Arkansas State Police and Washington County promised to keep their reports of his  sexual misconduct confidential.

He says officials broke their word when they released his files to In Touch after receiving a Freedom of Information Act request, and that the reports were poorly redacted, containing identifying information, including both his and of his parents’ names, their address, and the identification of one of the alleged victims, his then-5-year-old sister.

“Plaintiff continues to be emotionally upset and humiliated by the disclosure of his identity as a juvenile offender and the intimate details of those acts, including the fact that his siblings were the alleged victims.” 

Duggar wants punitive damages for invasion of privacy, outrage, due process violations, and emotional, mental and psychological distress after he says the gossip rag “sensationalized” his incest scandal and exploited his family’s name to sell magazines.

The city of Springdale and the officials named in the lawsuit immediately filed a motion to have the case dismissed, saying “The truly egregious conduct at issue was that of Josh Duggar and not the Springdale defendants.”

Someone needs to remind Herr Perkins that while they held out for awhile The Alamo was lost and a massacre in the end.

Arkansas School District Suspends Three Children Because They Think Are HIV+ – Video

Pea Ridge School District

The Pea Ridge Public School District in Arkansas has suspended three children, all siblings from school, until documentation is provided that none of the children are HIV positive.

“The actions taken by the Superintendent of Pea Ridge School District are appalling and is reminiscent of times past and the case of Ryan White,” says Tom Masseau, Executive Director of DRC. “The fact that the foster families have to provide documentation that the children are HIV negative before entering the school is unlawful and immoral. Further, the fact the school’s attorney authorized this unlawful act is at best appalling. It stigmatizes individuals with disabilities or their “perceived” disabilities as there is no indication these individuals have HIV. There is only an unlawful fear that they do.”

Over the summer, the school district completed a thorough review of records and found an evaluation on one of the boys that stated that the mother and one sibling were both HIV positive.

The Pea Ridge Public School District is in Benton County, Arkansas. Its website claims, “Pea Ridge School District does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, national origin or disability in any of its policies, practices or procedures.”

In the early hours of New Years Day over 5000 dead blackbirds rained down on the small town of Bebe Arkansas.  The msytery to why the birds died and fell in that one mile area is still unexplained.  But now just a few miles away 100,000 drum fish have died and washed up on the banksof the Arkansas River

Coincidence?  End of the World?  Did the poor things died of boredom and and social oppression? Or perhaps its God’s retribution for the Souths intolerance.

Clint McClance, School Board Member of Arkansas’s Midland School District Wants LGBT Teens and All Gay People DEAD – CALL TO ACTION!

Arkansas Midland School Board Member Clint McCance is charged with the eduction and protection of the young students in his charge.  But according to McCance’s Facebook page, which has now disappeared those students do not include LGBT Youth to the point where he wants fags dead.

(Update:  Turns out that other than being on the school board McClance also gets cleaning contracts from the Board for his business  “Clints Carpet Services/Tye Dye Inc.)  I hope the Midlands School Board records are current and there was a real bid process used before you gave work and the taxpayers money to a troglodyte bigot Clint)

McCance posting on his FB page in response to last week’s Spirit Day in memory of gay and lesbian youth who killed themselves over bullying wote the following:

“Seriously they want me to wear purple because five queers committed suicide. The only way im wearin it for them is if they all commit suicide. I cant believe the people of this world have gotten this stupid. We are honoring the fact that they sinned and killed therselves because of their sin. REALLY PEOPLE…………….Being a fag doesnt give you the right to ruin the rest of our lives. If you get easily offended by being called a fag then dont tell anyone you are a fag. Keep that shit to yourself. I dont care how people decide to live their lives. They dont bother me if they keep it to thereselves. It pisses me off though that we make a special purple fag day for them. I like that fags cant procreate. I also enjoy the fact that they often give each other aids and die. If you arent against it, you might as well be for it.” He further writes, “I would disown my kids if they were gay. They will not be welcome at my home or in my vicinity. I will absolutely run them off. Of course my kids will know better. My kids will have solid christian beliefs. See it infects everyone.”

After numerous calls and emails by The Advocate ys reporting that: “The superintendent of the Midland school district was unavailable and a phone call to the principal of the Midland High School was not returned. There was no response to e-mails to the superintendent and to the secretary of the Midland school board.”

Well lets try harder to get a response shall we.  ALL OF US.  because we can’t allow this shit to go on any longer.  It’s KILLING PEOPLE!

Mayor Lionel Jordan of Fayetteville, Arkansas Basically Saya "F@*k Off" To The American Family Association Over Gay Pride

Mayor Lionel Jordan of Fayetteville, Arkansas is standing up to the bigoted bible thumping bullies at the American Family Association.  Fayettesville received around 300 emails yesterday as a result of an action alert from the American Family Association which asked the mayor to drop his support for the Gay Pride parade in which 10-year-old Will Phillips is to serve as Grand Marshall.

But Fayetteville Communication Director Lindsley Smith said Saturday’s activities will go on as scheduled. ‘The Mayor is still excited,’ said Smith. ‘Everything’s still on.’ Most of the messages included identical body copy which came pre-loaded in an online action form set up by the American Family Association. Nearly all of them began with the statement, ‘I am shocked to learn that the city of Fayetteville is issuing a proclamation in support of the homosexual activist group, Northwest Arkansas Pride.’ Smith said the majority of the emails were from non-Fayetteville residents.

The American Family Association Attacks 10-Year-Old Boy Will Phillips, His Parents, And Fayetteville Arkansas Mayor, For Supporting Northwest Arkansas Pride

Just how dispicable and low can the The American Family Association go?  VERY LOW!

Well the AFA’s Tim Wildmon has sent out an “Action Alert” lashing out at Fayetteville, Arkansas Mayor Lionel Jordan for issuing a proclamation in support of the Northwest Arkansas Pride Parade, and attacking 10-year-old Will Phillips who became a gay national hero for speaking out for rights for all and his parents for participating in the event.

Says the letter in the alert: ““Dear Mayor Jordan and Fayetteville City Council: I am shocked to learn that the city of Fayetteville is issuing a proclamation in support of the homosexual activist group, Northwest Arkansas Pride. It’s offensive enough to sensibilities that they are going to parade their deviant lifestyle on the streets of the city. It’s even more abhorrent that the city is supporting it, knowing very well that the organizers of this event are exploiting children to push their radical sexualizing event. I implore you to withdraw the proclamation and focus on issues that promote a healthy and safe lifestyle, rather than one that is risky and dangerous………It’s shameful that adults would abuse a brain-washed child in this way. He’s obviously just parroting the nonsense he’s been told by manipulative adults.For gay activists to trot out this child and make him the poster child for promoting unnatural sexual expression is a form of child abuse.”

He’s obviously just parroting the nonsense he’s been told by manipulative adults.”??  Oh the irony of this coming from you Wildmon and the AFA.  IF Will Phillips and his Parents WERE Brainwashed Religious NUTZ of the AFA and were standing on a corner with “God hates Gays”.and yelling stuff like that with a Bullhorn that would be perfectly fine toWildmon he would JUST be Expressing his “Religious Freedoms”.Where was the AFA’s outraged Action Alert when the pro-Prop 8 campaign used children in their campaign? When a bored child who was at her teacher’s wedding, which her parents were attending as well, had her image manipulated and used as if she were the poster child for the ill effects of marriage equality.

So everyone take a second to write Fayetteville officials to (politely) express your support for Will Phillips, Mayor Jordan, and NW Arkansas Pride and lets counter the assholes at the AFA!

Pulaski County Circuit Court Judge Chris Piazza said in a two-page ruling Friday that people in ‘non-marital relationships’ are forced to choose between becoming a parent and sustaining that relationship. ‘Due process and equal protection are not hollow words without substance,’ Piazza said. ‘They are rights enumerated in our constitution that must not be construed in such a way as to deny or disparage other rights retained by the people.’

Piazza, a former prosecutor, agreed with claims by families who said the ban lessened the number of available adoptive and foster parents to the point where thousands of children could go without homes. He said the ban cast ‘an unreasonably broad net’ and did not serve the state’s interest. The American Civil Liberties Union sued the state in December 2008 on behalf of a group of families seeking to overturn the ban. Voters approved the measure in November 2008, two years after the Arkansas Supreme Court overturned a policy by state child welfare officials that blocked gays from being foster parents.

Huzzah for activist judges who do crazy things like enforcing the Constitution as they are told to do by the Constitution!
