5 Tampa Bay Ray Players’ REFUSE To Wear PRIDE Logo, Cite “Religious Beliefs”

5 Tampa Bay D’bags Rays players (all pitchers, no catchers.) refused to wear the Gay Pride logo on their uniforms this weekend — saying their religious beliefs wouldn’t allow it, but also saying they love and accept everyone.

Of course.

Via TMZ Sports:

Jason Adam, Jalen Beeks, Brooks Raley, Jeffrey Springs and Ryan Thompson. On Saturday, during the team’s Pride Night celebration, they reportedly ditched the custom jerseys/hats featuring rainbow-colored lettering and instead opted for standard unis. The reason … “faith-based” purposes. Adam explained … “So it’s a hard decision. Because ultimately we all said what we want is them to know that all are welcome and loved here. But when we put it on our bodies, I think a lot of guys decided that it’s just a lifestyle that maybe — not that they look down on anybody or think differently — it’s just that maybe we don’t want to encourage it if we believe in Jesus, who’s encouraged us to live a lifestyle that would abstain from that behavior, just like (Jesus) encourages me as a heterosexual male to abstain from sex outside of the confines of marriage. It’s no different.”

Unclear what fallout, if any, may come from this. It is Florida after all.

But as always we’ll keep you updated.

NYC’s Increasingly Problematic Mayor Appoints Anti-LGBT Politician to Top Position

Mayor-elect Eric Adams pledges to make NYC 'safer' and more 'business-friendly'

BitCoins, nepotism, telling NYC businesses to open all offices COVID be damned, harassment of the homeless these are just a FEW of New York City’s new Mayor Eric Adam most recent eyebrow raising antics. But now Adam’s has crossed the line by putting anti-LGBT far right wing DINO Rev. Erick Salgado.

In 2013 Salgado was endorsement from the antigay hate group National Organization for Marriage, a nonprofit formed for the sole purpose of opposing same-sex marriage.

During a candidate forum, Salgado criticized his opponents for marching in Pride parade, and sold himself as the “only one who did not march” and as “the only one who [is] willing to say in public that I only believe in traditional marriage.”

But of course it gets worse.

Salgado objected to the Parks Department erecting statues in the Sheepshead Bay Holocaust Memorial Park in honor of non-Jewish victims of the Nazis, including LGBTQ people, calling it “a betrayal of the community and even worse, disrespectful to the memory of those who perished in the Holocaust.”

Rumor has it that Adams is also considering appointing former New York City Councilman Fernando Cabrera to a “faith-based” position in the administration, after backing off a previous plan to appoint him as the city’s top mental health official after his anti-LGBTQ views came to light, including once expressing support for a Ugandan law that would have seen gay people executed.

Who voted for Adam’s exactly and why?

‘Don’t Say Gay’ Bill To Ban All LGBT Education Moves Forward in Florida

A Florida bill that would limit classroom discussions on sexual orientation and gender identity and encourage parents to sue schools or teachers that engage in these topics is speeding through the GOP controlled state House and Senate.

The aptly nicknamed “Don’t Say Gay” bill by LGBT fear that if this bill is signed into law, it could act as a complete ban on the lessons on LGBT oppression, history and discussions about LGBT identities.

The two bills in the state legislature, HB 1557 and SB 1834, state that a school district “may not encourage classroom discussion about sexual orientation or gender identity in primary grade levels or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students.” It also adds that parents who catch a violation of this rule can sue, seeking damages and reimbursement for attorney fees and court costs.

Florida GOP House Rep. Joe Harding, who is the sponsor of the legislation, hopes it will “reinforce the fundamental right of parents to make decisions regarding upbringing & control of their children,” according to the bill’s text.

The bill is particularly troubling in a state where there have been tragic hate crimes committed against those in the LGBT community, including the 2016 mass shooting at Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando  in which 49 people were killed and another 53 wounded.

2021 was a record-breaking year for anti-LGBTQ legislation. More than 250 of these bills were introduced and at least 17 were enacted into law. All of which introduced into GOP controlled states.

BYU Threatens To Arrest and Discipline Students Who Protest anti-LGBT Rules.

BYU Threatens To Arrest and Discipline Students (Again) Who Protest Anti-LGBT Rules.

Let’s begin this with a quick history recap of past Brigham Young’s dangerous and deadly anti-gay rhetoric and “rules”.

Believe it or not before 1962 BYU was actually a “live and let live” type of college, the few lesbian and gay students who had attended though deeply closeted seemed to have no problems on campus. But on On September 12, 1962, the “live and let live” policy was officially eradicated. Spencer W. Kimball (Quorum of the 12), Mark E. Peterson (Quorum of the 12), and Ernest L. Wilkinson (BYU President) addressed the university and introduced the new university policy: “…we [do not] intend to admit to our campus any homosexuals. We do not want others on this campus to be contaminated by your presence,

Homosexuality is an ugly sin, repugnant to those who find no temptation in it, as well as to many past offenders who are seeking a way out of its clutches. All such deviations from normal, proper heterosexual relationships are not merely unnatural but wrong in the sight of God.

Spencer W Kimball

In July 1964, Spencer W. Kimball spoke to institute faculty, calling homosexuality a “malady”, “disease”, and asserted it was “curable [through] self-mastery”. On January 5, 1965, Kimball again addressed the BYU student body, equating homosexual “desires and tendencies” to “petting”, “fornication”, and “adultery.” He also professed that it was a “damnable heresy” for any homosexual person to claim, “God made [me] [this] way.”

Five gay, male students died by suicide in 1965 on campus. And unfortunately over the years more followed.

But it get’s worse.

In 1967, BYU administration took control of the Honor Code and Honor Committee (now called Honor Code Office). That following year, a recorded 72 students were expelled under pretenses of “suspected homosexual activity”

In 1973 BYU’s university-sanctioned electroshock aversion therapy was reported for the first time. These were mentioned by BYU psychology professor Allen Bergin in a July 1973 New Era article, justifying the actions by claiming that homosexuals were “psychologically disturbed persons.” university-sanctioned electroshock aversion therapy was reported..

This TORTURE continued through the 1976 thesis/experiment by BYU clinical psychology professor, Max Ford McBride, which used 17 gay, male students and subjected them to “positive visual stimuli” (nude images and pornographic videos of women) with no consequence and “negative stimuli” (nude images and pornographic videos of men) accompanied by high-voltage shocks to their genitals and sensitive areas of the body, as well as induced vomiting and odor aversion. The shocks reached an intensity of 4.5mA, the equivalent of a powerful stun gun. Sources suggest this practice continued on BYU campus until 1983.

Brigham Young University and the Mormon Church didn’t stop there. Conversion Therapy Camps, spying and purging students & faculty, fighting tooth and nail against same sex marriage. It goes on and on and all of i tax free!

Fast forward to 2022 and BYU is still at it.

Almost one year after LGBT students lit up Brigham Young University’s “Y” sign in rainbow colors to show support for LGBT equality, BYU has passed new rules to discipline or arrest any students who protest against the school’s anti-LGBTQ teaching and all it’s rules in general.

The university’s new rules define a demonstration as “an event that occurs on university property that is not sponsored by the university in which two or more people gather to raise awareness about, or express a viewpoint on, an issue or cause.” This includes “marches, memorials, parades, picketing, leafletting, signature-gathering, rallies, sit-ins and counterdemonstrations,” BYU also states that student protests may not “contradict or oppose church doctrine or policy”, nor are they allowed to “deliberately attack or deride” the church or its leaders.

After all these years of Brigham Young University not only discriminating but TORTURING it’s gay students it still remains open, receives government funding and the Mormon Church tax exempt.

And everything old is new again.

Montana Gov. Signs Anti-LGBT "Religious Freedom" Bill Into Law

Montana Gov. Signs Anti-LGBT “Religious Freedom” Bill Into Law

“To protect Montanans’ right to freely exercise their religion, I was proud to sign the Religious Freedom Restoration Act today.” – Montana Governor Greg Gianforte

A lot of news was reported this week that received little or no attention because of the Derek Chauvin case. This is one of the stories that went overlooked.

Via The Montana Standard

Republican Gov. Greg Gianforte on Thursday signed the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, bolstering religious beliefs as a claim or defense in court. Democrats and other opponents have decried the new law, arguing it would empower people to freely discriminate against LGBTQ people with beliefs that they are immune in the courts.

Democratic lawmakers in both chambers who are LGBTQ shared soul-bearing testimony in floor sessions about the message the bill’s passage would send to communities who already suffer discrimination. The legislation spurred opponents to rally outside the Capitol, while more than 250 companies co-signed a letter opposing SB 215.

Religion is a CHOICE. Being gay, not so much.

At this point I’d usually say BOYCOTT MONTANA but c’mon there is really nothing there to boycott.

Tony Perkin's FRC Hate Group Prays Against The Equality Act, Uses Death to Gays Bible Scripture

LIES & GARBAGE: Family Research Center Hate Group Attacks “the so-called Equality Act.”

Via email blast:

While many across our country are facing severe winter weather crises, the Democrat-controlled House of Representatives is creating a different type of storm in our nation’s capital as they try to push through one of the worst bills imaginable – the so-called “Equality Act.”

I realize that by now you may be tired of hearing about the Equality Act and the problems it poses. Yet we have been warning about it for some time because it represents a grave threat – not just on one issue – but to many of the values that our nation holds dear.

And the threat is truly serious. The Equality Act would overhaul our federal civil rights framework to mandate abortion access and special privileges for sexual orientation and gender identity (SOGI), leaving many to suffer the consequences, including women, children, medical professionals, and people of faith.

The Equality Act mandates an anti-life, anti-family, and anti-faith agenda upon all Americans.

Please contact your Representative today to tell them NOT to cosponsor and NOT to support the Equality Act.

Here is a brief overview of some of the problems with the Equality Act:

The Equality Act jeopardizes women’s privacy and safety.

The Equality Act’s expansion of the Title II “Public Accommodations” definition means that females would no longer have privacy in public bathrooms, locker rooms, showers, or even battered women’s shelters. State and local laws to this effect are already causing fallout: A kindergartener was assaulted by a boy in her school bathroom. A rape survivor was forced to quit her job when her employer began allowing men into women’s private facilities. A man was allowed residence in a shelter, and nine women are suing because they were sexually harassed.

The Equality Act unfairly penalizes female athletes by allowing biological men to compete in women’s sports.

For example, biological boys won first and second place at a Connecticut girls’ high school indoor track championship. As a result, two biological girls fell below the threshold to advance to the next meet, inhibiting their ability to be seen by college recruiters and obtain scholarships. Scholarships are sometimes the only avenue students have to pursue higher education, which could lead to better job opportunities and better pay.

The Equality Act would undermine real civil rights gains women have made.

For example, the Small Business Administration Office of Women’s Business Ownership, whose mission is to “enable and empower women entrepreneurs through advocacy, outreach, education and support,” would have to give biological men who identify as women access to its programs.

The Equality Act would interfere with the medical profession.

It would force doctors and others who provide legitimate hormone treatments and surgical procedures for patients with certain physical conditions to offer those treatments for individuals with gender dysphoria. Their moral or medical opinions about assisting individuals in physically altering their bodies would be disregarded. Medicine would be politicized despite science telling us these treatments are actually harmful. A 2011 Swedish study, one of the most robust on the issue, found that post-surgery individuals had a suicide completion rate 19 times higher than the general population. The risk of psychiatric hospitalization was 2.8 times higher even after adjustment for prior psychiatric disease. Additionally, death by neoplasm (a benign or cancerous mass) and cardiovascular disease was 2 to 2.5 times higher. There is also evidence that puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones can cause cancer, heart disease, diabetes, blood clots, stroke, and more. The Equality Act’s requirements would override a doctor’s concern about any of these points.

The Equality Act could erode parental rights.

When Ohio parents declined hormone treatment for their child, the Children’s Hospital of Cincinnati involved child protective services, and the parents were ultimately stripped of their parental rights.

The Equality Act would severely erode religious freedom.

The Equality Act expressly exempts itself from the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA), our flagship religious liberty law.

The Equality Act’s expansion of public accommodations could require churches and houses of worship to violate their beliefs regarding how they use their facilities.

Its changes to employment law would prohibit some houses of worship from ensuring their clergy and employees abide by their doctrines or beliefs about marriage, sexual behavior, and the distinction between the sexes.

Federal aid could be denied to students attending faith-based institutions unless those institutions abandon policies and practices reflecting their sincerely held beliefs about marriage and sexuality.

The Equality Act would inhibit faith-based charities’ ability to operate.

Faith-based organizations and others play a vital role in the adoption and foster care system and generally receive funding under Title IV of the Social Security Act to help do their important work. The Equality Act would force them to violate their beliefs or shut down, displacing children like the thousands left hanging in Illinois when Catholic Charities was shut down under a similar law.

The Equality Act could be the most pro-abortion legislation to pass the House in a decade.

Not only would this bill expand “public accommodations” to include health care providers, but it would add sex discrimination as a protected class. It would then define prohibitions on “sex discrimination” to include preventing treating “pregnancy…or a related medical condition” (which can include abortion) less favorably than other physical conditions. This change would essentially create an abortion mandate. In conjunction with the RFRA exemption and expansion of what constitutes a public accommodation, this also jeopardizes long-standing federal conscience laws that protect those opposed to abortion. The Hyde Amendment, which prohibits taxpayer funding for abortion, would also be in jeopardy.

The Equality Act shamefully attempts to usurp the civil rights movement’s history and legacy.

In no way are one’s sexual conduct and inclinations equivalent to skin color. Suggesting or implying as much diminishes the hard-fought gains of this movement. Indeed, scientific evidence shows that “sexual orientation” is quite fluid and that “gender identity” is not fixed. But if the Equality Act becomes law, its backers may use the courts to force its ideas into public school curricula around the country. Indeed, the idea that these notions are equivalent to skin color is false, and failure to recognize this falsehood only harms all affected.

The Equality Act mandates an anti-life, anti-family, and anti-faith agenda upon all Americans.

Please contact your Representative today to tell them NOT to cosponsor and NOT to support the Equality Act.

Gird your loins boys and girls because this is the type of pure bullshit every homophobe and hate group across America will be spewing over the next few months. We cannot be passive and hope Congress does the right thing.

WE MUST FIGHT TO MAKE SURE THAT THE EQUALITY ACT FINALLY PASSES!

Trump Administration’s HHS and Mike Pompeo Launch the Anti-LGBT “Geneva Consensus Declaration on Promoting Women’s Health and Strengthening the Family.”

U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Health and Human Service Secretary Alex Azar joined representatives from the anti-LGBT countries of Brazil, Egypt, Hungary, Indonesia, and Uganda on Thursday to launch the anti-LGBT/ anti-abortion “Geneva Consensus Declaration on Promoting Women’s Health and Strengthening the Family.”

Pompeo and Azar have been working for at least a year and a half to mobilize Thursday’s signing of the Geneva Consensus seeking to reverse the Obama administration’s U.S. foreign policy which supported reproductive rights and LGBT equality.

The anti-LGBT agenda of the declaration reaffirms that “the family is the natural and fundamental group unit of society and is entitled to protection by society and the state.” Hungary’s Minister of State for Family, Youth and International Affairs Katalin Novák denounced international forces that she charged were trying to “weaken the traditional family” through a “culture of indoctrination and preaching”, “gender ideology,” and sex education.

Novák added that the right-wing anti-LGBT governments of Hungary and Poland are playing a leading role in promoting and strengthening the “traditional family.” Uganda’s health minister, Jane Aceng, criticized international pressure to support policies that “may be contrary to our values” and called for “due respect for our values and sovereignty.”

The Geneva Consensus Declaration event was a culmination of the Trump administration’s intensive efforts to build opposition to any international recognition of LGBT rights and a woman’s right to choose an abortion. Pompeo and Azar have been working on developing this new coalition for about a year and a half.

Texas Officials Tell Librarians to REMOVE LGBT Books, AG Tell School District "PRIDE Week" is Illegal

Texas State Board of Ed Rejects Teaching Students About Respect for LGBT People

The Republican-controlled Texas State Board of Education rejected proposals in a series of votes Thursday and Friday to teach students in public school health classes that everyone, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.

Board member Ruben Cortez, D-Brownsville, proposed standards requiring students in Grades 7-8 and high school be able to define and differentiate between sexual orientation and gender identity. Two other proposals called for students to learn that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, regardless of their orientation or identity. Board Democrats and one Republican backed all four proposals, but nine Republicans voted them down.

“Imagine the tragic message state board members have sent by refusing to acknowledge that LGBT students even exist in our classrooms,” said Carisa Lopez, political director for the Texas Freedom Network.,The board had a chance to stand with young people who are looking to feel safe and respected in their schools. A majority of board members chose to abandon them and stand with the bullies instead.”

Mary Elizabeth Castle, policy advisor at the 501(c)(3) non-profit anti-LGBT hate group Texas Values countered: “Today, we are grateful that the State Board of Education voted to stick to education and teach children how to live a healthy and productive life as opposed to confusing them with controversial political ideologies. The statewide Health standards look nothing like Austin ISD’s radical sex education propaganda; and efforts to politicize Science failed.”

Rand Paul Confronted By Protestors after Republican National Convention, Claims He Was ‘Attacked by an angry mob’ – VIDEO

U.S. Sen. Rand Paul one of the more controversial members of the GOP party was surrounded by a group of vocal protesters overnight which he hyperbolically stated “threatened his life” as he was heading back to his hotel in Washington D.C. from the White House following the conclusion of the Republican National Convention.

“Just got attacked by an angry mob of over 100, one block away from the White House,” Paul wrote in a tweet at 1:39 a.m. Friday. “Thank you to @DCPoliceDept for literally saving our lives from a crazed mob.”

Videos show protesters surrounding Paul and his wife, Kelley, on a crowded block in Washington D.C. Protesters are chanting “no justice, no peace” and “say her name, Breonna Taylor.”

In Paul’s home state of Kentucky, protesters in Louisville have been marching for more than 90 days to demand justice for Breonna Taylor, the 26-year-old Black woman and emergency room technician who was unarmed when killed by police inside her home in March.
