Disturbing news out of California:

In the midst of Pride month, a disturbing incident marred the inclusive spirit as fliers containing derogatory remarks about the LGBTQ+ community were discovered on multiple cars outside a Target store.

According to Ashley Rawson, a person who received one of the fliers, they spent a brief period of time in the Target store before discovering the offensive flyer on their car’s windshield upon returning.

Rawson reportedly observed that at least two rows of cars in the vicinity had also been targeted with the same flyer attached to their windshields. KRCR interviewed an anonymous Target employee who claimed they had received verbal backlash after the display of Pride merchandise.

Three people were arrested Tuesday at protests held outside a meeting of the Glendale Unified School District board, where pro-and anti-LGB-TQ+ demonstrators faced off over how schools teach gender and sexuality.

After the skirmishes, police in riot gear kept pro-LGB-TQ+ protesters and conservative groups separated. Three people were arrested for various charges, including allegedly using pepper spray and obstructing officers, according to the Glendale Police Department. Close to 500 people showed up at the protest at GUSD headquarters.

Three people were arrested Tuesday at protests held outside a meeting of the Glendale Unified School District board, where pro-and anti-LGB-TQ+ demonstrators faced off over how schools teach gender and sexuality.

Law enforcement declared an unlawful assembly after fighting broke out outside the building, officials said. The situation temporarily disrupted the meeting, which was about an hour into public comments on an agenda item calling for recognition of June as Pride Month — which board members unanimously approved late in the evening.

Earlier in the day, hundreds of protesters had swarmed outside the building, some waving American flags and others waving Pride flags, with many documenting the scene with their smartphones. Those who were protesting the board’s LGB-TQ+ policies chanted, “Leave our kids alone” while naming each of the five members of the board.

A dispersal order was given just after 6 p.m. and additional police resources were requested “to ensure the safety of the Glendale community would not be compromised.” Board members later unanimously adopted the resolution to declare June as Pride Month.

“North Carolina’s top Republican has — finally — made his run for North Carolina Governor official. Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson, a Greensboro native who attended Grimsley High School and UNCG, announced his intent to run in 2024 at a previously announced rally at Ace Speedway in Alamance County on Saturday, April 22.
The possibility of his run for governor drew a scathing critique published as an opinion in the New York Times, calling him “extremism incarnate.” A Talking Points Memo piece recently examined years of social media activity painting a history of conspiratorial posts and attacks on other people, according to the piece..”

After the Pulse Nightclub shooting, Robinson immediately tweeted “homosexuality is STILL an abominable sin.” Robinson has also repeatedly called homosexuality “filth,” and has said heterosexual relationships are “superior,” and has suggested women should not be in leadership positions and said climate change is “junk science.”

He also claimed that “God formed me” to battle LGBTQ rights.

For Robinson who has experienced discrimination in North Carolina as a black man. to turn around and discriminate against women, gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgendered people is, well, deplorable.

In comments exclusive to “The Benny Show,” the Governor vowed never to drink the domestic lager again before offering another big reveal of his own: that his favorite brew isn’t even American.
“Why would you want to drink Bud Light? I mean, like, honestly that’s like them rubbing our faces in it and it’s like these companies that do this, if they never have any response, they’re just going to keep doing it. If you don’t have conservative beer drinkers, you’re going to feel that. And so, you know, I think it’s a righteous thing.”
While the Governor admitted he had been photographed drinking a normal Budweiser, he said he preferred Guinness Stout. “Years ago we went to Dublin and we’ve always been a fan ever since.”

*Bobby Cornealius Smith (and his wife), a pastor at New Beginnings Church in Las Vegas, was accused of sexually assaulting multiple victims over 10 years ago. A grand jury has now indicted him on one felony count of attempted sexual assault, 9 counts of sexual assault, and one count of child abuse, neglect, or endangerment. #NotADragQueen

*A former Savannah pastor will serve 25 years in prison and life on probation for child molestation and statutory rape. Alfonza McClendon Sr. was convicted of molesting two children between 2013 and 2017. The molestation happened while McClendon was pastor of the First Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church. Derrick Patterson, was charged with more than 30 counts of robbery, burglary, grand theft and assault, according to the Los Angeles County district attorney’s office for using using the gay hookup site GRINDR to lure more than 20 gay men into dates that tuned into robberies, sometimes at knife point, over the past two years, according to an indictment unsealed Monday.

Via The LA Times: Patterson used a profile with a different person’s picture to arrange hookups with men in their homes. Often times, he’d tell his victims he needed to use their cellphones to watch porn to get aroused.. Once he had access to their phones, Patterson would use payment apps such as Venmo to send himself money or send money to the accounts of other victims whose phones he’d stolen. Sometimes Patterson would order the men to leave their doors unlocked and wait for him in a bedroom, then begin ransacking their homes. In cases in which victims realized Patterson’s intentions were criminal rather than sexual, Patterson threaten them or claim he had accomplices waiting outside who would lay waste to their homes if they didn’t comply.

Deputy Dist. Atty. Richard Ceballos. filed a hate crime enhancement against Patterson, noting he would specifically target gay victims because he believed they were “soft targets” and sometimes used anti-gay slurs during the attacks. In some cases, Patterson would have sex with the victims and steal money by using their phones during sex.

Ceballos also expressed frustration with GRINDR. He said the app was not responsive after several victims raised safety concerns about Patterson’s account and claimed that when police obtained a search warrant for information about Paterson’s account, the app said it had nothing to turn over.

A spokesman for GRINDR said the company takes all reports of abuse seriously and cooperates with law enforcement and that “We encourage users to be careful when interacting with people they do not know”

If convicted of all charges, Patterson faces up to 60 years in prison,

A neo-Nazi leader recently released from prison has been arrested again and accused of plotting an attack on the Maryland power grid with a woman he met while incarcerated. Brandon Russell, 27, and Sarah Clendaniel, 34, are expected to make their first appearance Monday in Baltimore federal court on a charge of conspiring to destroy an energy facility, which carries up to 20 years in prison. According to prosecutors, their plan was to attack with gunfire five substations that serve the Baltimore area. The charges come after similar attacks on the power grid in North Carolina and Oregon that remain unsolved; the Department of Homeland Security recently warned that the United States is in a “heightened threat environment” and that critical infrastructure is among the “targets of potential violence.”

In 2018, Russell was sentenced to five years in prison after being caught with bomb-making materials in his Florida apartment. Russell is a co-founder of the murderous neo-Nazi group, Atomwaffen Division.

Members of a Ukrainian refugee family appeared in a South Florida courtroom on Wednesday. That’s where they are facing hate crime and attempted murder charges for an alleged family ambush against a gay man. Police say Oleh Makarenko was in a nine-month homosexual relationship, which would end with his lover being beaten so badly by Makarenko’s family that the victim became blind. Authorities allege that Oleh Makarenko, who is also known as Alex, was being forced to marry a woman by his mother. On Aug. 6, three members of the Makarenko family barged into the victims home, according to police. A police report stated that, “All four of the suspects continued holding him and began punching, kicking, and hitting him all over his face and body.”

While in the war between Russia and the Ukraine we are all hoping that the Ukraine wins. But the Ukraine, like Russia is a very dangerous place to be LGBT.

Since the fall of the Soviet Union and Ukraine’s independence in 1991, the Ukrainian LGBT community has gradually become more visible and more organized politically. But it is still a place of extreme prejudice thanks to  the Eastern Orthodox Church, which has a significant influence on the perception by society of members of the LGBT community.

DELTA Airlines which has scored 100 percent on the the Human Rights Campaign’s almost useless Corporate Equality Index (CEI) multiple times is being accused of “censoring the gay out” of the Elton John biopic “Rocketman”.

Shana Krochmal who works as the digital director of Entertainment Weekly ook to Twitter to detail her recent Delta flight on October 30.

“On Delta today discovered that Rocketman is stripped of almost every gay reference or scene that [Elton John] fought to keep in the film’s mainstream release, including a simple chaste kiss. What does it say that the edit left in a scene of John Reid assaulting Elton but removed any evidence of intimacy between them or for that matter Elton and any man? ” she wrote.

Krochmal is not the only one who has noted the heavy handed anti-gay censorship– an array of other flyers on Delta has alleged similar experiences of censored Rocketman editions.

This is not the first time Delta has come under fire over gay and lesbian censorship aka “cutting the gay away”.  Olivia Wilde slammed Delta and other airlines this week for excising a lesbian kiss from a film she directed, Booksmart.

“Tried watching Booksmart on the plane and they cut the ENTIRE lesbian hookup scene like not even a KISS was allowed!” tweeted Barton. “Oh but don’t worry guys, the Straights got their kiss.”

In past years, Delta has also been called out showing an edited version of the lesbian theme movie Carol , but had no issue showing Chris Rock’s Kill the Messenger HBO comedy special which included the anti-gay slur “faggot” until it received thousands of complaints and removed it.

Delta airlines has not responded for comment to this website.

An anti-gay Kentucky principal who in 2009 who tried to ban books with “homosexual content” from his high school was arrested Tuesday on charges of possession and distribution of child pornography.

Todd Wilson, the principal of the Clark County Area Technology Center, located at the George Rogers Clark High School in Winchester, Kentucky, was arrested by state troopers after a complaint saying they saw Wilson give child pornography to another person.

Kentucky State Trooper said Wilson had about 15 images of child pornography, which resulted in 15 counts of distribution of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor, and another 15 counts of possessing matter portraying sexual performance by a minor.

In 2009, when Wilson was the principal of Montgomery County High School, he came under fire for banning a number of books from the classroom for “homosexual content.”

The controversy was over a number of contemporary LGBT young-adult books being taught next to classic works like Beowulf.

The Montgomery County High School administration, backed Wilson and banned the books.

Wilson is held in the Clark County Detention Center on $25,000 bail
