Original Village People Policeman Victor Willis Sues For 1.5 Million in Royalties – BONUS "Go West" Video!

The original policeman from The Village People, Victor Willis is suing the seminal disco band which still tours American claims for $1.5 million in royalties claiming that he recieved none after he left the band in 1979.

Willis claims in a federal lawsuit filed last week he wrote some of  the band’s biggest hits — including “Y.M.C.A.,” “Macho Man,” “In the Navy,” and “Go West” —  and in a federal lawsuit filed last week. Willis is suing Can’t Stop Productions, which handles the rights to the band’s songs.

The group was the brainchild of Jacques Morali, a prolific French music producer. Morali picked Willis, a former Broadway star, to shimmy center stage and write the rhythms.

Willis was inspired to write “Y.M.C.A.” after a clueless Morali asked him about why people went to the Y. The lyrical licks described “what it was like going into a new town and not having a lot of money and needing a place to stay,” he said.

Stewart Levy, a lawyer for Can’t Stop Productions, called Willis’ lawsuit “without merit.

Gay West Virgina Coal Miner Sues Over Widespread Anti-Gay Harrassment

Sam Hall, a gay coal miner in West Virginia is suing a Massey Energy Co. subsidiary, because co-workers in several mines have repeatedly harassed him because of his sexual orientation. Sam Hall maintains that he was subjected to verbal abuse and invective and lewd gestures by his supervisors and other miners, even after he complained to management.

“Mr. Hall is gay and, given his gender preference, has been harassed by both management and fellow miners. Due to management’s participation and provocation, most of the pervasive ongoing harassment has been caused or encouraged,” the suit states.

The suit, filed by Charleston lawyer Roger Forman, names Massey subsidiary Spartan Mining Co. and No. 2 Gas Mine foreman Randy Thomas as defendants.

Massey Energy vice president and general counsel Shane Harvey called the conduct alleged by Hall “despicable.”. “They are serious allegations, and we take them seriously. We are going to investigate it, and if any of them are true, we are going to take action swiftly to remedy the situation,” he said. “However, at this stage, they are just allegations, and we are going into the investigation with an open mind.”

It all started in 2007 after Hall went horseback riding with a co-worker, the mine’s superintendent, Scott Lansenese, allegedly said that Hall had a “Brokeback Mountain” moment.  After that Mark Delung, a chief electrician, used homophobic slurs and wrote them on Hall’s dinner bucket and then mine’s power center, Hall alleges. When he complained, and management told Delung to stop, the harassment escalated, including vandalism of Hall’s car, where co-workers attached a sign that read, “I like little boys,” according to the suit.

After complaining Hall wass sent to  work at No. 2 Gas Mine, he was again submitted to abuse, according to the suit. Co-workers allegedly shook their penises at Hall underground, and when they were told to stop or be fired, the situation escalated, with slurs being written on his locker.

Hall was then sent to work at No. 5 Block Mine, where the superintendent knew him from the Winifrede mine and would laugh at the abuse directed at Hall, the suit maintains. Hall became worried when the slurs escalated to violent threats, including “I would like to see all faggots die.”

In April 2010, Hall returned to the No. 2 Gas Mine, where mine foreman Randy Thomas engaged in persistent harassment, according to the suit. Mine superintendent Carl Lucas did nothing to stop the abuse and he continues to face threats and harassment.

Hall accuses Spartan Mining Co. and its management of creating an oppressive and hostile work environment, and making no effort to resolve physical threats based on his sexual preference

Big Brother 2 Contestant Kent Blackwelder Sues Over Gay Naked Men Mailer and DVD…..LOSES!

Former Big Brother 2 contestant Kent Blackwelder of Knoxville TN, whose 15 minutes of fame is beyond over,  tried this week to convince a jury to punish the gay publisher because his then-12-year-old daughter got an unwanted eyeful of some naked gay boys which was sent to his home.

At issue in his lawsuit is the five seconds his daughter perused a mailer featuring photographs of naked men in erotic poses in May 2007 and its impact. He also accuses the publisher of violating regulations on how sexually explicit material should be packaged.

In 2007 Madison Blackwelder plucked from a basket on the kitchen counter a plain white envelope addressed to her father and promising on its cover a “free new DVD offer.” for “Titan Men’s Fresh Farm” DVD with a subscription to “Freshmen” magazine

She told jurors she thought it might be a Disney movie offer so she opened the envelope.

Inside was a tri-folded brochure. On its cover, it carried a warning label of sexually explicit material, her father’s name and address, and the name of the magazine and free DVD. Madison said she was “embarrassed, just really confused” about what she saw and ran to her room. She said it made her fearful of “being kidnapped,” and, after her father filed the lawsuit, she sought counseling.

As it turns out in 2005 Kent Blackwelder entered an online contest sponsored by the magazine known as ‘The Out Traveler,'” which is a gay publication.  The contest, which the married Blackwelder denies entering, offered up an all-expenses paid trip for two to a “gay-friendly” destination. It was also noted that Blackwelder had received at least one other mailing from the gay publisher without complaint, according to the firm’s records

Blackwelder conceded he buddied up with an openly gay “Big Brother” contestant during his stint on the show.  After BB2 his mortgage business went belly up and later wound up clashing with his co-workers at a temporary employment agency. Blackwelder was fired and later filed suit, alleging that he, as a white man, was discriminated against by a black supervisor. Records show that the lawsuit was later dismissed by agreement

Sounds like someone was just trying to make a quick buck through bigotry……..again
