DataLounge has approximately 6.5 million page views each month, according to its webmaster.
The “official” announcement will be made on Wednesday.

Mediapolis has made no official announcements about this matter. You are relying on a user’s post who is neither a confirmed representative nor an employee of Mediapolis. DL is also quite popular for it’s troll posters and threads. I think this article’s been hastily written with no substantial basis.

Especially since the same troll posts the same “Datalounge is closing” thread several times a year.
