After the humiliation of the overwhelming negative response Donald Trump and his minions received at game five of the World Series between the Washington Nationals and Houston Astros last week, Trump needed a PR win to spin that nightmare. So Donald Trump went to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in New York City at Madison Square Garden but to his surprise (not ours) was again greeted with jeers and boos from thousand os attendees as he entered the stadium.
Ian Bremmer, a political scientist who founded the Eurasia Group, said: “Honestly surprised to see Trump booed at Ultimate Fighting Championship. This should be his crowd.”
According to the New York Times, Trump has a long relationship with U.F.C., having hosted several matches at the Trump Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City when the sport was under fire from Congress in the early aughts. That historical support for the sport led U.F.C. president Dana White to tell Fox News “I’m never going to say anything bad about Donald Trump, ever.”
Trump was also greeted with protest outside Madison Square Garden as he arrived to the event.
