“Vandals” Trash National Organization for Marriages’s “Free Speech” Anti-Trans Hate Bus

"Vandals" Tag National Organization for Marriages’s "Free Speech" Anti-Trans Hate Bus

USA Today reports:

A bus spreading a message against transgender culture was vandalized near United Nations headquarters early Thursday evening while it was parked, according to the head of one of the three groups organizing the bus tour.

The “Free Speech Bus,” as it is called by organizers, was parked near the UN for a scheduled event when two people approached, scratched it with a key, cracked windows with a hammer, and spray painted slogans such as “Trans Liberation,” Brian Brown, president of the Washington-based National Organization for Marriage, told USA TODAY.

The people on board the bus traveling between points in New York, Connecticut, Washington and Boston were inside the UN for an event, but the driver was with the vehicle, Brown said. The driver tried to protect the bus and was tackled but not hurt by one of the vandals, Brown said.

Brown’s organization put together the bus tour along the East Coast along with Citizen Go, a social activism group that works through online petitions, and the International Organization for the Family, a Washington-based group that promotes “the natural family.”

Brian Brown speaking to Brietbart.com added:

The overall goal for the transgender activists is a “genderless society” which no longer allows any social, civic or legal recognition of the biologically-based, different, equal and complementary preferences of the two distinct heterosexual sexes, including the normal view of marriage as a man and a woman joining to become parents for the next generation of people.

“The end of the [transgender] road is to say that fundamental reality is simply a subset of our wishes — that if I wake up one day and say ‘I’m a boy [then] I’m a boy,’ … that’s the big lie here,” he said.

Small-government libertarians should recognize that “if you [allow government to] change the fundamental nature of male or female persons, it can change anything — and the government can try to coerce people to buy into their false version of reality,” he said.

The orange bus was leased to help share this argument with Americans and media outlets around the nation, he said  “The ‘gender identity’ activists have scared people from stating the obvious truth,” said Brown. “The bus is letting people know they should not be afraid to stand against this nonsense,” he added.

Many in the LGBT Media are referring to the perpetrators as “vandals” while many right-wing websites are calling those who did it “trans-activists”.

  1. It’s wrong to vandalize, but it’s also wrong to stick your nose into other people’s underwear, even legislatively, when it’s none of your business. I’d call this a draw.

  2. I am fortunate to live in New England. I drive a good deal at night and am fortunate to be able to listen to a Radio talk show on WBZ Boston, hosted by Dan Rhea. This is an interview with the spokes person for this group.

The night before Mr. Rhea had been punked by someone also saying “she” was the spokesperson. Knowing Mr. Rhea’s fair play attitude, once he found out he had been punked. He brought on the actual”verified” spokes person. I heard the punked interview and was pissed off. I am not sure the actual interview with the true spokesman, didn’t get me more pissed off. Right at the outset the spokesperson says: “They are a traditional marriage group” dating back to 2007. I have yet to figure out how traditional marriage has anything to do with transgender rights.
