19-year-old Tom Daley who won bronze in the 10-metre platform at last summer’s Olympics, has come out of the closet and declared his sexuality in an emotional interview to camera on YouTube.

“In an ideal world I wouldn’t be doing this video because it shouldn’t matter,” he said.

“Of course I still fancy girls, but right now I’m dating a guy and I couldn’t be happier. I just feel safe, and it really does feel right.

“Is it a big deal? I don’t think so. It’s going to be big but I wanted to say something.”
