HBO to Air Documentary “Valentine Road” About The Murder of Lawrence King on Monday, October 7th

On Monday, October 7th , HBO will kick off its Documentary Films Fall Series with “VALENTINE ROAD,” a documentry which will  explore the middle school murder of  Lawrence “Larry” King.

Feb. 12, 2008, stat E.O. Green Junior High School in Oxnard, a California 15-year-old “Larry” King, a teenager who had begun exploring his gender identity was shot twice in the back of the head at point-blank range by classmate Brandon McInerney. Two days later, on Valentine’s Day, Larry died, the victim of a hate crime that grabbed national headlines and dramatically changed the lives of the students, teachers and community at large.
