The “Gay NRA” The Pink Pistols Release Reprehensible Statement About Sandy Hook and Gun Control

Pink Pistol lunatics

The Pink Pistols are a LGBT  gun rights organization founded in the year 2000 has always been a controversial group.   Their mottos are “Pick on someone your own caliber” and “Armed gays don’t get bashed.” inspired by a Salon.com article written by Jonathan Rauch, have inspired some but have also repulsed others who believe that it’s nothing more than a front for crazy gay Republican and Libertarians. (Calling Jimmy LaSalvia!)

Well the “Gay NRA” has broken their silence about the Sandy Hook and issued a statement that weighs-in on President Obama’s calls to make America less deadly due to guns making their organization seem even more repugnant than ever.

Said Pink Pistols spokesperson Gwen Patton:

“This is what we need, a reasoned discussion, not emotional knee-jerking. The deaths at Sandy Hook were awful and tragic. But we should not get caught up in the urge to do something, anything, and do the wrong thing. I said it before, and I’ll say it again. No compromise on either our gay rights OR our right to bear arms is acceptable to the Pink Pistols.”

Well what is unacceptable for me at least is them wrapping their pro-gun agenda in our gay rights issue.  It’s unacceptable,  offensive,  and disgusting.

And while the Human Rights Coalition (HRC) and Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG), claim their organizations had no stance on the issue and refuse to say anything.  In my opinion to tie in gun rights, the Second Amendment and being gay is just wrong.

To be  legally licensed, trained, background checked and armed with a small personal weapon to protect yourself is one thing.  But to use being gay and vulnerable as a blanket statement for the Second Amendment foolishness of the NRA is reprehensible and insane.
