“Christian” Detroit Tigers Right Fielder Torii Hunter: Gay Teammate Would Make Him ‘Uncomfortable’

Detroit Tigers right fielder Torri Hunter has told the Los Angeles Times he believes an out gay teammate would make him “uncomfortable”

“For me, as a Christian…I will be uncomfortable because in all my teachings and all my learning, biblically, says it’s not right.  It will be difficult and uncomfortable.”

Hunter a four-time All-Star and a 9-time Gold Glove winner’s  17-year-old son was arrested in Texas in may on charges of sexual abuse of a 16 year old girl who later recanted her story.

There’s been no word from any of Hunter’s Detroit Tigers teammates if being on a team with a homophobic bigot makes them uncomfortable.

  1. Yet another weak and febile minded individual who can’t think for himself but can only regurgitate what others tell him to believe. What a let down.
