Violence & Police Brutality Erupt At Tea Party Event Featuring Anti-Gay Scott Lively

Reports of violence and police brutality are trickling in concerning Occupy Boston’s counter protest against homophobia at The Boston Tea Party’s Patriots’ Day Rally on Boston Commons today.

Among the Tea Party’s  featured speakers were the anti-gay MassResistance’s Brian Camenker, Abiding Truth Ministry’s Scott Lively, and Don Feder (who once described himself as making Atilla the Hunn look like a “a limousine liberal”) were listed as featured speakers.

Lively’s Abiding Truth Ministries is classified as a certified hate group by the Souther  (What n Poverty Law Center. And Lively himself has has called for the criminalization of “the public advocacy of homosexuality”, is directly linked to pending Anti-Gay Legislation in Uganda, and is co-author of The Pink Swastika, which states in the preface that “homosexuals the true inventors of Nazism and the guiding force behind many Nazi atrocities.”

Not much is known at this time but it appears that and some members of Occupy Boston were harassed and roughed up by Boston Tea Party members by Boston Tea Party members with at lleast one BPD officer (badge number 4534)  becoming quite violent and choaking a young trans avtivist who was  holding  nothing but a pink wig in their hands.

More news to follow as updates come in…….

  1. Hey there,

Thanks for posting this. Quick correction though, the protester mentioned and pictured does not identify as male so if perhaps you could change the last line of this to read gender neutral that would be greatly appreciated I’m sure.

  2. The violence is never (never never) coming from the Tea Party. Please show me I wrong without having to be creative.

    1. How about HATE and bigotry coming from the Tea Party. They were ther ones that invited 3 anti-gay speakers to talk not to talk about fiscal responsibility. But to talk about their hate for homosexuals.

  3. There was actually 1 speaker that made it a point to define the principles of the real Tea Party, and separate themselves from social issues. It was stated that social issues only divide, and that the core values are Consitutionally limited government, fiscal responsibilty, and free markets. If the sound system wasn’t rigged not to be loud enough and so many people weren’t yelling instead of listening, they would have understood that the Tea Party has been highjacked by minions that want to create disruption rather than bring people together. Anytime you chose a side within the government and use it to distract from the actual issues at hand, you wiill always be used as a pawn by the establishment while they sit on the hill and laugh about it over lunch.
