Repugnant Senator John Cornyn: “Repealing DOMA Will Cost The Country Too Much Money”

I called this a few years ago and today Republican John Cornyn of Texas fired the first shots of what will eventually be the bigoted Right Wings new argument against repealing the Defense of Marriage Act now that the religious arguments are beginning to fail.

Before the Senate Judiciary Committee which voted 10-8 to move the Respect For Marriage Act, which would repeal DOMA forward Cornyn’s main argument against it and to keep gays and lesbians second class citizens is that it would cost the country too much money in Social Security, benefits and income tax losses for everyone in America to have equal rights.
