Sen. Chuck Grassley At DOMA Hearings: My Witness Was Afraid To Show Up!

At today’s DOMA repeal, Senator Chuck Grassley suggested that the GOP had wanted to call a female witness but that she was too frightened to testify because ahe might face retribution by us evil nasty gay people.

GRASSLEY: The minority very much hoped to call a witness today at this hearing to testify in support of DOMA, I’m sure she would have done an excellent job.She declined, however, citing one reason the threats and intimidation that have been leveled not only her but her friends and family as a result of her support of DOMA. She will continue to write on the issue but will no longer speak publicly.

IF and I mean IF this woman actually exists because you know its not media whore Margaret Gallagher-Srivastav of the National Organization for Marriage, or maybe it is and this “woman” *cough* Maggie Gallagher *cough* didn’t want to be busted lying to Congress or having her “argument” and “facts” easily disproved.

I mean why would a member of the Anti-Gay Industry want to hurt their own business by being exposed as a liar?
