Edmonton Pride Cancels Parade After Being Held Hostage By Demands of Social Justice Groups.

Less than two months before the annual Edmonton Pride parade was set to take place, the Edmonton Pride Festival Society board of directors voted to cancel this years parade partly to do with demands made by two local social justice groups.

Last Thursday, a board meeting was held to discuss a list of demands put forward by Shades of Colour and RaricaNow, two organizations that represent queer people of color in Edmonton. The demands included spaces for queer people of color, a sober dance party, $20,000 to be given to both Shades of Colour and RaricaNow, and a “public accountability statement” of the harm EPFS has allegedly done against queer people of color.

The same two groups organized a demonstration that shutdown last year’s Pride parade for over 30 minutes calling for the organizers to uninvite Edmonton police, RCMP and military personnel, amid a Canada-wide debate over the presence of police in Pride parades.

Four representatives from the two groups were invited to speak at last week’s meeting, according to Clayton Hitchcock, co-chair of the Pride Festival Society. But roughly 30  showed up and pushed their way into the room. One of the members of the board feeling unsafe called the police.

V. Guzman of Shades of Colour, a Latinx non-binary person who uses they/them pronouns, said no one from the group was arrested and police were co-operative.

Later that day, the festival announced on Facebook the meeting had been moved to a second location and later decided to cancel the Pride parade.

“In light of the current political and social environment, it has been determined that any attempt to host a festival will not be successful,” reads the email from the board of directors. “Please keep in mind that we are a not-for-profit organization run almost solely by volunteers.”

Despite the cancellation of the parade the other Pride events are still going forward.

“Losing the parade is a blow,” said one of the owners of the Evolution Wonderlounge in Edmonton . “Losing that massive Pride in the Park party is certainly a blow. But Pride isn’t cancelled.”

Michigan Trans Activist Burns Down Own House Because No One Showed Hate Against Him

Bored Michigan Trans Activist Burns Down Own House Because No One Showed Hate Against Him

Move over Jussie……

A Michigan Trans – LGB activist burned down his own house because he was annoyed there was no prejudice for him to campaign against, police say.

Nikki Joly is accused of faking the August 2017 fire – which killed his two dogs and three cats – because he’d been left bored after the passage of a nondiscrimination law in Jackson, Michigan.

Joly, a trans-man, had married girlfriend Chris Moore shortly before the fire, which prompted a $58,000 fundraising effort for the couple

Barbara Shelton and Bobby James who worked alongside Joly told police he’d been disappointed the Jackson Pride Parade, held five days before the fire, hadn’t received more attention or protests.

Shelton and James – also described Joly as being ‘very deceptive’ and as having ‘layers of manipulation.’

Police turned their attentions to Joly after discovering he had bought $10 of gas at a local Marathon store on the morning of the fire and traces of gasoline were also found on his clothes, The Detroit News reported.

Joly has denied setting the fire deliberately.

His attorney Daniel Barnett said Joly was happy with the level of attention he has received.

Gay Trump Supporters (aka “Raggots”) Plan To Protest Charlotte, NC PRIDE Over Exclusion

Gay Trump supporters who were denied a place in the city’s annual Charlotte Pride parade are staging a protest at the popular event on Sunday afternoon.

The Charlotte-based Republican group Deplorable Pride said their march will begin 30 minutes before the parade, and they intend it to be “a non-confrontational peaceful demonstration.” The group will walk from Romare Bearden Park on Church Street to the corner of Trade and Tryon streets, which is the center of Charlotte Pride activities.

“Come and show your support for your fellow Trump supporters who are LGBT and are being persecuted by their own gay community,” said statement on Deplorable Pride’s Facebook page. “Please help us show that intolerance is not acceptable.”

A spokesman for Charlotte Pride defended its decision Friday, saying the nonprofit has the right to exclude any group it feels does not reflect the parade’s values of welcoming groups on the fringes of American society, including undocumented immigrants.

“In the past, we have made similar decisions to decline participation from other organizations espousing anti-LGBTQ religious or public policy stances,” according a Charlotte Pride statement. “Charlotte Pride envisions a world in which LGBTQ people are affirmed, respected, and included in the full social and civic life of their local communities, free from fear of any discrimination, rejection, and prejudice.”

As if religious protesters opposed to homosexuality, BLM and SJW’s ruining PRIDE is not enough. Now this?
