ANONYMOUS Hacks Nigerian Government Website, Demands Support of LGBT People

ANONYMOUS Nigeria hack

The  hackivist group ANONYMOUS,  took  over Nigeria’s official government website last night denouncing its intent to pass a law that would jail LGBT people for up to 14 years and demanding the government end its support of the anti-homosexuality bill.

The hacker, identified on twitter as @PaddyHack, said he took down the website Thursday for several hours, posting a warning to president Goodluck Jonathan:

“Your government has passed a to jail homosexuals in your country for up to 14 years. Nobody should live in fear of being jailed, when their only action is loving another consenting adult, regardless of gender.”

The Street Journal reports:

The attack on the website, Nigeria.gov.ng took place in the evening and messages urging the President to overrule the laws were displayed on the site until around 11 pm when the administrators regained control of the site. The hackers protested against the 14-year jail term for homosexuals in Nigeria.

The President was asked to “veto or renounce the bill” within 72 hours. Issuing a threat after, the hackers stated on the website that “failure to follow our order will unleash a torrent of fury aimed directly at the direction of your administration, starting with some startling but unsurprising evidence of corruption in your ranks.”

The hackers also continued with an assurance as the message continued with “no need to start destroying evidence, I already have it.”

A spokesperson of theNigerian ministry, Joseph Mutuah, likened the attack to robbery while the Nigerian press labeled the hacktivist as gay, ‘foreign’ ‘cyber-warlord’, ‘vandal’ who is apparently ‘engaging’ in ‘cyber warfare’ against Nigeria.

In response to the anti-gay media hype, The hacker stated:

“The Nigerian Press are attempting to tarnish the name of the LGBT cause by smearing their name of the latest defacement of their website.

“The deface is a protest against the potential bill that will be passed jailing homosexuals for up to 14 years. Their only ‘crime’ is loving a person of the same gender.

“I am not inspired to do this because I am pro LGBT, I’m not even gay. I am inspired to do this because I am anti hate. Declaring gayness as being a sin is nothing more than hiding hate behind your bibles.

“IF you must follow the bible, just remember Mark 12:31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’[a] There is no commandment greater than these.”

Gay GOP Presidential Candidate Fred Karger’s Campaign Site Shut Down Because He Criticized The Mormon Church

Poor Fred Karger can’t catch a break. 

Not only is he a far off the radar openly Gay GOP candidate whose run, in the end will be seen as more symbolic than serious since he has no chance in hell of winning.  In  an email to supporters on Friday Karger states that his  his campaign website was shut by Terra Eclipse based in Aptos, California,a design and information technology consulting group which developed and ran the website because of his various scrapes with the LDS Church over the years — his prosecution of their secretive and illegal support of Prop 8 and his  launch of the website Top10CraziestMormonBeliefs.com — and Karger presented the following letter from  Terra Eclipse as proof:

While your campaign has every right to express views using tactics of your own choosing, our company also has the right to freely associate with our clients. In light of these actions, which not only appear to be completely irrelevant to a campaign for President of the United States, but also constitute an insult to and mockery of individuals of particular faiths, we are exercising our right to terminate your NetBoots account and disassociate with your campaign, as reserved in our Terms of Service (attached).

Karger who is probably the most progressive republican in all of America on LGBT issues unlike the Auntie Tom’s at GOFuckYourself GOProud and LCR really should have known better than to deal with a company that specializes in REAL GOP websites. 

But one has to wonder if Terra Eclipse would have reacted the same way if another of their Republican clients used their servers to “insult” and “mock” LGBTs?

I highly doubt it.

John Boehner Signs Hate Group Petition – FRC Debuts "Stop Hating/Start Debating" Website To Martyr Themselves.

As scooped last week by the most awesome Jeremy Hooper over at “Good As You” last week, the officially recognized hate group, The Family Research Council (who supposedly didn’t care about such a label) has launched a new website called “Stop Hating/Start Debating” to prove their intolerance, I mean innocence by asking haters across America to sign their petition to, now get this…..“Tell the radical Left it is time to stop spreading hateful rhetoric attacking individuals and organizations merely for expressing ideas with which they disagree.”

Really I kid you not. 

Slanderous tactics have been used against voters who signed petitions and voted for marriage amendments in all thirty states that have considered them, as well as against the millions of Americans who identify with the Tea Party movement. Some on the Left have even impugned the Manhattan Declaration–which upholds the sanctity of life, the value of traditional marriage and the fundamental right of religious freedom–as an “anti-gay” document and have forced its removal from general communications networks.

This is intolerance pure and simple. Elements of the radical Left are trying to shut down informed discussion of policy issues that are being considered by Congress, legislatures, and the courts.

Tell the radical Left it is time to stop spreading hateful rhetoric attacking individuals and organizations merely for expressing ideas with which they disagree. Our debates can and must remain civil–but they must never be suppressed through personal assaults that aim only to malign an opponent’s character.

You can take action by adding your name to the following statement:

“We, the undersigned, stand in solidarity with Family Research Council, American Family Association, Concerned Women of America, National Organization for Marriage, Liberty Counsel and other pro-family organizations that are working to protect and promote natural marriage and family. We support the vigorous but responsible exercise of the First Amendment rights of free speech and religious liberty that are the birthright of all Americans.”

Not surprisingly the petition signatures looks like a “Who’s Who of Hate In America”.  Concerned Women of America, The Eagle Forum, The Illinois Family Institute, Coral Ridge Ministries, The CCV, AFA, and The National Organization of Marriage.  Interestingly though it also includes the name of some Unites States politicos like:  (please notice all the “R’s”

Again no real surprises there except the arrogance to actually sign a petition from a hate group to support them which is signed only by other haters. 

Will this spin into martyrdom work for the FRC?  Lets hope not.  And  that will be up to us by fighting back and exposing them for what they truly are/

Thankfully their hate and lies will always be cached on the Internet and that’s something that we should always use to our advantage because we are never going to be free until these groups are shown for what they are and destroyed.
