CALIFORNIA - 3 Arrested Outside School Board Meeting As Extremist Groups Go On Violent Rampage Over PRIDE Vote.

WARNING: Calls For Violence Flood Extremists Far-Right Trump Forums

The Hoveround and Diabetes Troops reporting for duty!

“This cannot go unpunished,” one member of the rabidly pro-Trump message board The Donald wrote on Thursday night. “The DA needs to pay dearly.” “None of this will stop unless there is blood in the streets,” another poster wrote. On platforms like The Donald, where all five of the top pinned posts on the homepage on Thursday night related to Trump’s indictment, commenters openly called for violence that was largely racist in nature.
Under a post with a photo of Bragg captioned “FAT PIECE OF SHIT!” another user commented: “There once was a time when he would have been lynched for much less.” “The whole trans terrorist thing must have been polling badly so they decided to indict Trump based on the testimony of a lying jew and lying whore,” one influential neo-Nazi account on Telegram wrote, alongside an AI-generated image of a tattooed, topless Trump in a prison yard.

Just remember. Yes, we can make fun of the crazies. But because they are, in fact, crazy, that makes them dangerous. The ones who are not certifiably crazy but may be very angry “true believers” are even more dangerous. So we ask everyone to be diligent in watching for your safety for the next week.

GOP Senators Demand Television Rating Warnings For LGBT Characters

This program is rated GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

GOP Senators Roger Marshall, Mike Lee, Mike Braun, Steve Daines and Kevin Cramer signed and sent the letter to the TV Parental Guidelines Monitoring Board board’s chairman Charles Rivkin demanding an update its rating system to warn parents if a show contains an LGBT+ character.

“In recent years, concerning topics of a sexual nature have become aggressively politicized and promoted in children’s programming, including irreversible and harmful experimental treatments for mental disorders like gender dysphoria,” the letter reads.  To this end, we strongly urge you to update the TV Parental Guidelines and ensure they are up-to-date on best practices that help inform parents on this disturbing content. This radical and sexual sensation not only harms children but also destabilizes and damages parental rights,” the letter continued.

The TV ratings system was adopted in conjunction with the so-called V-chip, which is required in all TV sets built since 2000 and allows parents to block programming

True Then, True Now: The Adult Video Association's Public Service Announcement On Personal Freedom (1982) - Video

Gay History – True Then, True Now: The Adult Video Association’s Public Service Announcement On Personal Freedom (1982) – Video

Adult Video Association Public Service… by Movieboy5280

When the Religious Right first came along in the early 1980’s, then known as the Moral Minority this message from the Adult Video Association was tacked onto the beginning or end of every adult movie in the United States warning them of the loss of their personal freedoms by the hands of these conservative intolerant religious extremists.

If more people rented porn and watched the opening and credits of porn back then and took action we might not still be in the same mess today 35+ years later.

Man Arrested With Assault Weapons and Possible Explosives, Says He Was Going to L.A. Gay Pride Parade

Man Arrested With Weapons and Possible Explosives, Says He Was Going to L.A. Gay Pride Parade

Coming just hours after the worst mass shooting in Unites States history in Orlando, Florida at the gay nightclub PULSE eaving over 50 dead. The LA Times is reporting that Santa Monica found possible explosives as well as assault rifles and ammunition Sunday in the car of a man who told them he was in town for the L.A. Pride festival in West Hollywood.

Early Sunday,  Santa Monica police received a call of a suspected prowler near Olympic Boulevard and 11th Street. Patrol officers responded and encountered an individual who told officers he was waiting for a friend. That led officers to inspect the car and find several weapons and a lot of ammunition as well as tannerite, an ingredient that could be used to create a pipe bomb.

The car had Indiana plates. The man made comments that he was in town for the Pride event in West Hollywood this weekend. The source said authorities did not know of any connection between the gay nightclub shooting in Orlando, Fla., early Sunday morning and the Santa Monica incident. The investigation has been taken over by the FBI.

A city official in West Hollywood also confirmed the arrest and stressed that officials were beefing up security at the gay pride event.

We will keep you updates on this story also as more information becomes available.

NFL to Jan Brewer and Arizona: We Pulled The Superbowl Once And We Are Watching.

shame on you

With the 2015 Superbowl scheduled to take place in Glendale, Arizona the NFL has taken a keen interest in what the next move is going to be by Governor Jan Brewer and if she is going to sign the Jim Crow-esque “We Don’t Serve The Gays” bill into law.   NFL spokesman Greg Aiello, today made an official statement today letting Brewer know that they are watching.

“Our policies emphasize tolerance and inclusiveness, and prohibit discrimination based on age, gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, or any other improper standard. We are following the issue in Arizona and will continue to do so should the bill be signed into law, but will decline further comment at this time.”

This wouldn’t be the first time that Arizona could have trouble with the NFL and lose its hosting of a Superbowl.

Super Bowl XXVII was originally scheduled to be played at Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Arizona, the home of the Phoenix Cardinals. However, a controversy over the state’s recognition of a newly created federal holiday changed things.

In 1983, President Ronald Reagan signed a bill creating Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, a national holiday honoring African-American civil rights leader Martin Luther King, Jr. In 1986, the first year that the holiday was observed, Arizona Governor Bruce Babbitt, a Democrat, had issued an executive order creating the holiday after the state legislature voted against it. Babbitt’s successor, Republican Evan Mecham, rescinded the order on the grounds that Babbitt did not have the authority to issue such an order and Arizona ceased to observe MLK Day for the time being. Mecham also made his displeasure for the holiday widely known, saying that King did not deserve a holiday and that black supporters of the law should have been more concerned about getting jobs. In response, Dr. King’s widow Coretta Scott King and musician Stevie Wonder spearheaded a complete entertainment and convention boycott of Arizona. Blacks across the nation supported the boycott. In 1989, after Mecham had been removed from office the state legislature did approve the holiday but opposition to it forced the holiday to be put on the November election ballot in 1990

Earlier that year, in March, the NFL had its annual meeting in Orlando and one of the items on its agenda was to determine a host city for Super Bowl XXVII. Among the cities being considered was Tempe, and Arizona civil rights activist Art Mobley was sent to the meeting to make sure that the Arizona ballot initiative was a talking point at the discussion. The vote was conducted and Tempe was awarded the game, but committee chairman and Philadelphia Eagles owner Norman Braman warned that if the MLK Day ballot initiative went against adoption of the holiday, the NFL would not hesitate to pull the game from Arizona and move it somewhere else. The fact that the majority of NFL players were African-American was a big factor into this threat, as many of them felt uncomfortable of having the Super Bowl in a state that didn’t honor a national holiday honor Martin Luther King, Jr.

The opposition to the holiday in Arizona was large, however, and the voters defeated the law at the polls. The NFL responded by making good on its threat to remove the Super Bowl from Tempe and held another vote, with Pasadena was chosen as the site for the first time since Super Bowl XXI was played there six years earlier. Meanwhile, after having lost out on millions of dollars in revenue from the boycott of the state by entertainers and the loss of the Super Bowl.  Arizona voters finally approved the MLK Day holiday in the 1992 elections and the NFL responded by awarding Tempe Super Bowl XXX at their 1993 meeting.

U.S. State Department Issues Travel Warning To Americans Going To The Sochi Olympics

Sochi Olympics blood

The U.S. State Department today issued an updated travel advisory for Americans planning to attend the Sochi Olympics.  And while the State Department states it is is presently unaware of any threat specifically aimed at Americans, the message did include a special (and vague) warning to LGBT travelers.

MEDICAL CARE: The Olympics are the first large-scale event to be held in Sochi and medical capacity and infrastructure in the region are untested for handling the volume of visitors expected for the Olympics. Medical care in many Russian localities differs substantially from Western standards due to differing practices and approaches to primary care. Travelers should consider purchasing private medical evacuation and/or repatriation insurance.

TERRORISM: Large-scale public events such as the Olympics present an attractive target for terrorists. Russian authorities have indicated that they are taking appropriate security measures in Sochi in light of this. Acts of terrorism, including bombings and hostage takings, continue to occur in Russia, particularly in the North Caucasus region. Between October 15 and December 30, 2013, there were three suicide bombings targeting public transportation in the city of Volgograd (600 miles from Sochi), two of which occurred within the same 24-hour period. Other bombings over the past 10-15 years occurred at Russian government buildings, airports, hotels, tourist sites, markets, entertainment venues, schools, and residential complexes. There have also been large-scale attacks on public transportation including subways, buses, trains, and scheduled commercial flights, in the same time period.

LESBIAN, GAY, BISEXUAL, AND TRANSGENDER (LGBT) ISSUES: In June 2013, Russia’s State Duma passed a law banning the “propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations” to minors. The U.S. government understands that this law applies to both Russian citizens and foreigners in Russia. Russian citizens found guilty of violating the law could face a fine of up to 100,000 rubles ($3,100). Foreign citizens face similar fines, up to 14 days in jail, and deportation. The law makes it a crime to promote LGBT equality in public, but lacks concrete legal definitions for key terms. Russian authorities have indicated a broad interpretation of what constitutes “LGBT propaganda,” and provided vague guidance as to which actions will be interpreted by authorities as “LGBT propaganda.” LGBT travelers should review the State Department’s LGBT Travel Information page.

“provided vague guidance as to which actions will be interpreted by authorities as ‘LGBT propaganda.’”?

Should read: “Gay people have been arrested and violently attacked by the police and Russian citizens for holding hands in this grotesque, anti-freedom fascist, Nazi wannabe, barbarian country.”

Anti-Gay Catholic Law Group WARNS Illinois Legislators Against Voting For Same Sex Marriage

Thomas Moore bigots

The anti-gay Thomas More Law Center  yesterday issued a lengthy “warning” letter to any politician that backs the marriage equality bill currently making its wat through the Illinois State House

The Thomas More Law Center is known as a theocratic organisation that takes up bigoted causes and was founded by Tom Monaghan whose Legatus Magazine spewed homophobic rants as recently as December 2011.  Monaghan is also known to be in the “Inner Circle” of Sam Brownback, the avidly homophobic governor of Kansas.

Warning: Gay Men Being Drugged and Robbed In San Francisco’s Castro Neighborhood

The San Francisco PD are asking gay men in the Castro to be more careful about who they pick up in a bar after reports that older gay men are being targeted by (straight) criminals who are coming into gay bars, flirting with men, and then robbing them after they take them home.

In a recent report to the SFPD a victim told of drinking at a Castro bar when a really good-looking man walked in and bought him a drink.  After some time, the man suggested they go home together.  The victim’s vision began to become blurry and he didn’t know what was going on.  The two went to the victim’s apartment, where he started vomiting. When he came out of the bathroom, the suspect grabbed the man’s computer and demanded the victim’s password. When the man refused to give it to him, the suspect hit him, and the victim ran out of the apartment, screaming.

Sgt. Chuck Limbert, the LGBT liaison for the Mission District, says there has been more than one report of this kind as of late and that both patrons and businesses need to be aware.

Bartenders and businesses should be mindful of those who have clearly had too much to drink; hail them a cab, or at the very least ask them if they are okay. Patrons should also be aware of who they are mingling with — ask to see someone’s ID before you take them home.

Remember guys if Prince Charming walks into a bar and you think its too good to be true.

It probably is.
