Retail giant Walmart said on Wednesday that it has no plans to discontinue or remove LGBT-Pride Month merchandise, a week after rival Target pulled some LGBTQ-themed products following backlash organized by CPAC and the GOP.

Walmart’s Pride-themed merchandise tied to Pride Month includes rainbow-adorned flags, clothing, and accessories. Its “Pride & Joy” collection includes a $7.98 set of enamel pins with messages such as “Be you. Be Proud.” and “You are enough.”

“We haven’t changed anything in our assortment,” Latriece Watkins, Walmart’s chief merchandising officer, said.

Last week, Target pulled some Pride-related merchandise, including items by transgender designer Erik Carnell, saying the products led to “volatile circumstances,”.

The GOP-led attack on Target and LGBT Pride Month is now including Kohl’s as its next victim.

Will they take on Walmart? Doubtful, it’s far too big.

But what about one of the other the right-wing ‘s favorite weekend shopping hangouts?

FBI agents waited more than an hour at the Winter Park home of Richard Dean Clayton’s parents before the 26-year-old entered unannounced through the back door. The agents said Clayton, who had threatened to shoot up a Walmart, was “manic” — erratic, paranoid and profane.

Clayton was arrested after agents with the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force and Florida Department of Law Enforcement flagged Facebook posts they said the young man made under a false name, including one that said, “3 more days of probation left then I get my AR-15 back. Don’t go to Walmart next week.”

That was Aug. 4, one day after 22 people were killed in a mass shooting at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas. Other posts allegedly made by Clayton include rants about social media censorship and one in which he describes himself as a white nationalist.

“Everyone [in real life] calls me a ‘Nazi’ despite my countless attempts to correct their assumptions about my political beliefs by claiming that I am simply a white nationalist and registered Republican. And the only reason I balk at the terminology normies use to describe me is because I don’t fully understand national socialism’s economic principles, and because capitalist, corporate America has done very well for my family, as well as for many other families like mine.”

Clayton is being held on a $15,000 bond at the Orange County Florida jail, Clayton is facing a second-degree felony charge. The Florida stauet says that any “written threats to kill, do bodily injury, or conduct a mass shooting or an act of terrorism,’ is a second degree felony punishable by up to 15 years in prison.

In response to the shooting in its El Paso store last month that killed 22 people, Walmart said Tuesday that it would stop selling certain types of ammunition that are commonly used by hunters but can also be used in military assault rifles.

The nation’s largest retailer made the announcement after weeks of discussion about how best to respond to the violence on Aug. 3. The company said that after “selling through our current inventory commitments” it would discontinue the sale of certain short-barrel rifle ammunition and all handgun ammunition.

Walmart had stopped selling the type of assault-style rifle that was used in the El Paso shooting several years ago, but the company’s chief executive, Doug McMillon, said the retailer recognized the need to do more “to make the country safer.”

Walmart will also stop selling handguns in Alaska, the only state where it still sells handguns. And Walmart will request that customers no longer openly carry guns into its 4,700 US stores, or its Sam’s Club stores, in states that allow open carry.

And of course those crazy right-wing gun nuts, NRA loving, God fearing Merican gun nuts are threatening a Walmart boycott.

WALMART Pulls “Violent” Video Games But Continues to Sell Guns

Following two shootings inside its stores, Walmart is removing violent video game displays and signs from stores while still keeping displays for free games win real money, the retailer confirmed Thursday. Stores were sent a memo that called for “immediate action” to remove signing and displays that “contain violent themes or aggressive behavior.” The memo circulated on Twitter and Reddit, and Walmart officials confirmed its authenticity to USA TODAY.

“We’ve taken this action out of respect for the incidents of the past week, and this action does not reflect a long-term change in our video game assortment,” said Tara House, a Walmart spokeswoman, in a statement. On Saturday, 22 people were killed at a Walmart store in El Paso, Texas, days after two Walmart managers were killed by a gunman described as a disgruntled worker in a store in Southaven, Mississippi.

Employees were also were asked to shut off hunting season videos in the sporting goods department where guns are sold. “Remove from the sales floor or turn off these items immediately,” the memo said.

But they will still sell guns and allow open carry of guns in their stores.

A video posted on YouTube shows a crazed woman at a Walmart store loudly berating a man who was paying for his groceries with food stamps while his young son sits in the cart watching.

“You know, I put in 50-60 hour weeks… trying to provide for my family,” the man says.

“You’re not providing for it, I am,” the woman snaps back. “The government is.”

“You’re not,” the man says.

“They take it out of my check,” the woman says. “Bullshit they don’t.”

The man suggests she complain to her lawmaker or vote Republican.

“Oh, trust me, I am not a bleeding heart fucking liberal,” the woman answers.

The rest of the clip contains a similar back-and-forth, punctuated with expletives.

“Deal with it, bitch,” the man says at one point.

At another point, the woman claims the man must be a supporter of Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.

“That’s exactly what you vote for, they give it to you so that you vote that way,” the woman says. “I’m not stupid. I have a degree. I’m pretty damn smart.”

There are a number of reports recently of shoppers confronted in stores over their use of food stamps.

Ironically, the woman in the new video who is complaining about food stamps is shopping at Walmart — a retail chain where wages are so low that many workers qualify for public assistance.

Also ironically there’s a 99% chance that the woman identifies as a Christian. WWJD? Not fucking that.

Well D – List hater “Porno Pete” Peter LaBarbera is at it again.  This time Petey is ever so peeved that WalMart to the Gay & Lesbian Victory Fund, an organization that has come underfire for the fact that in the recent few elections it has backed gay GOP candidates over more progressive and pro- LGBT Democrats, just because they were gay.

In a bizarre turn of events for the A&E show, John Aravosis, from America Blog reported today that a “Duck Dynasty”-themed clock that speaks when a button is pushed appears to say the words, “Heil Hitler.” Though its probably (and hopefully) a recording malfunction the clock adds a new and truthful twist to Phil Robertson’s racist, sexist and homophobic comments.

In a rather odd trip to Walmart last night (it was mom’s idea), my family was in the “holiday” section looking through half-priced Christmas leftovers when my 17 year old nephew walks up holding a “Duck Dynasty ‘Si’ Clock.”  He pushes the button, and asks me what I think it’s saying.

I thought he’d asked me “who” it sounded like, and told him I didn’t know. No, he said, WHAT’s it SAYING?

My mom and my other nephew, before I could even answer, both respond: “Heil Hitler.”

No word yet if WalMart intends to double the price since it seems to play to the shows base audience.

WTF? Gay Walmart Worker In Las Vegas Forced To Wear Special Yellow Vest

As if you needed more proof that Walmart is just plain EVIL….

An 18 year-old employee at a Las Vegas area Wal-Mart says that after his bosses forced him to confirm his that he was gay and then he was made to wear a special yellow vest and shunned by almost everyone who worked there.

Back in March, 18-year-old Fernando Gallardo got a seasonal job at a Las Vegas Walmart, hoping to make a few extra dollars. But a few weeks into the job, Gallardo says, his immediate supervisor asked him “point-blank” in front of four of his coworkers if he was gay, and from then on alienated him from the 50 other associates at that location. “I told her yes, and after that she was very rude and short with me,” he tells The Advocate. Gallardo says that soon after the incident, he was stripped of many of his daily duties and asked to wear a yellow vest and walk around the store. By mid May his supervisor and two other managers stopped talking to him completely.

Fernando also went to a human resources manager and filed a report, but to no avail. He also accuses the store’s management of attempting to bribe some of his temporary coworkers with permanent positions, in exchange for saying he volunteered the information about his sexual orientation. However, Gallardo says he felt pressured into telling his boss that he is gay, by the pointed way in which she asked.
