Trump Calls For More UN-Civil Disobedience With Impending Arrest on Tuesday.

DON’T FEAR THE REAPER – Donald Trump: The USA Will Not Close Again If Second Wave of COVID-19 Hits

Via CNBC:

President Donald Trump on Thursday said “we are not closing our country” if the U.S. is hit by a second wave of coronavirus infections. “People say that’s a very distinct possibility, it’s standard,” Trump said when asked about a second wave during a tour of a Ford factory in Michigan.

“We are going to put out the fires. We’re not going to close the country,” Trump said. “We can put out the fires. Whether it is an ember or a flame, we are going to put it out. But we are not closing our country.”

Trump has previously said there may be “embers” of the pandemic that persist in the U.S. past the summer, but he maintains that they will be stamped out.

Perhaps someone should tell the Covidiot orange maroon that the first wave is still far from over.

The United States Fails to Meet International Human Rights Standards For LGBT Americans

United Nations

On Monday, the Williams Institute filed a report with the United Nations showing how the lack of protections against employment discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity constitute human rights violations in the United States. Based on social science research and legal analysis, the report suggests the United States is not complying with its international human rights commitments, particularly in the areas of employment, health, youth and violence against LGBT people.
“LGBT people continue to be subject to human rights violations in the areas of
employment, poverty, hate crimes, and health. Continued unequal treatment
and barriers to access to justice indicates that the U.S. is not fulfilling its
obligations under the 2010 UPR. Therefore, the U.S. should expand and
improve its efforts to collect quality data on the LGBT population and
prohibit any form of discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation or
gender identity.”
The United Nations has recently begun a review of the human rights record of the United States.  In its last review, the United States accepted recommendations to address discrimination against LGBT people in order to comply with international human rights standards.  However, there is no federal law that protects LGBT people from discrimination in the workplace.  The report is a follow up to earlier testimony by Williams Institute scholars presented to the U.S. State Department in July as part of the Universal Periodic Review process.

Disgraceful.

WFC’s Don Feder: LGBT Soldiers “armed with vibrators” Greater Threat To USA Than Putin‏

Hot Gay Sailors

Don Feder, leader of the anti-LGBT hate group the World Congress of Families, yesterday in an op-ed for the AmericanThinker.com stated that LGBT soldiers, “armed with vibrators” are a greater threat to the U.S. than aggressive action by Russia and its president Vladimir Putin.

The piece, titled “Putin Doesn’t Threaten Our National Security, Obama Does,” posited that Russia’s dictatorial president is not as bad for the United States and the world as a president who is “not an American” in the White House.

Feder pointed to a now-debunked story of LGBT troops performing in drag shows overseas. In “Obama’s life style-friendly military,” Feder said, these supposed troops in drag will be the norm.

“If Putin doesn’t take us seriously, is it any wonder?” he asked. “Perhaps we could deploy an elite unit, armed with vibrators, to the Crimea to counter Spetsnaz commandos.”

Rather than victory, Feder lamented, “diversity is the New Action Army’s most important product.”

TheWorld Congress of Families is one of six anti-LGBT hate groups that are working abroad to undermine the rights of LGBT people around the world. The group has lauded the criminalization of same-sex relations in Uganda and played an active role in helping Russian legislators craft their vicious “gay propaganda” law.

The group is scheduled to have its 2014 meeting at the Kremlin in Russia. There has been no word on whether the far-right organization plans to cancel in the wake of Russia’s aggression toward Ukraine.

The 2012 Spartacus International Gay Guide, an international gay travel guidebook published annually since 1970, originally by John D. Stamford, and currently by Bruno Gmünder Verlag in Berlin, Germany ,  published its annual Top Gay Friendly Destinations last June (excuse us we are a little behind) and if you are going on vacation you might think twice, well 38 times before vacationing in America as the USA ranked #38 behind countries like Thailand, Cambodia and Croatia thanks to anti-gay laws, a lack of marriage equality, and some unfriendly corners of the Land of the Free and th home of the Religious Morons.

Topping the list was Sweden, which scored points for having   anti-discrimination laws, recognition of gay unions, an equal age of consent,   travel marketing aimed at gays and no institutional persecution of the LGBT   community.

Other top-10 rated nations include Belgium, France, Netherlands, United   Kingdom, Canada, Denmark,  Iceland, Norway and  Spain.

US State Deptartment Releases Statement Over Russia’s ‘Anti-Gay Propaganda” Legislation

Russia’s parliament on Friday gave its initial backing in a 388-1 vote in the first of three readings hours to a bill that would ban what lawmakers there call “homosexual propaganda” among minors which includes banning free access to information on homosexuality and could lead to gays being fined and being imprisoned for demonstrating or kissing in public akin to local laws already passed in Putin’s native city of Saint Petersburg and five other Russian regions.

State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland released the following statement:

We are deeply concerned by this draft legislation in Russia that severely restricts freedom of expression and assembly for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals and, indeed, for all Russians.

You know how strongly we feel about LGBT rights around the world, how strongly the secretary of state personally feels that nobody should be discriminated against for who they love,”

Vitaly Milonov, a lawmaker from  the ruling United Russia party who authored St. Petersburg’s anti-propaganda  legislation, maintains the law is only meant to protect minors, and doesn’t  infringe on the private lives of homosexual adults.

“This is a law that simply leaves  private life within the boundaries of private life,” he told RIA Novosti on  Thursday.

But he added that, when it comes  to legal definitions of marriage, non-traditional families “don’t  count.”

“All Russian citizens have the same basic rights and freedoms,   but any kind of extras – based upon  matters of principle, such as their private family lives – are not included.”

Where have we heard that before?  – (The 3 Stooges Of Hate Tony Perkins, Peter Sprigg and Brian Brown: Gays Have The Same Civil Rights As Everybody Else)

While I find it admirable that the State Department has actually said something about the current anti-gay atmosphere in Russia, I must admit that while gay American’s today are still treated as second class citizens in its own country its highly hypocritical.   Perhaps that’s why statements like like the one issued by the State Department pull absolutely no weight and make no difference in extremely homophobic countries when they are made.

Google Launches Worldwide LGBT Equality Campaign “Legalize Love” – What About In The USA?

LGBT friendly Google Inc. has announced that it has launched a global campaign in support of LGBT Equality and same-sex marriage equality.

“Legalize Love” will launch today in Poland and Singapore and then,  they hope, the rest of the world and will focus on places with homophobic cultures, where anti-gay laws exist.

Google’s Mark Palmer-Edgecumbe:

“We want our employees who are gay or lesbian or transgender to have the same experience outside the office as they do in the office. It is obviously a very ambitious piece of work. Their strategy involves developing partnerships between companies and organizations to support grass-roots campaigns

(Countries like) Singapore wants to be a global financial center and world leader and we can push them on the fact that being a global center and a world leader means you have to treat all people the same, irrespective of their sexual orientation.” At the end of the day, the “Legalize Love” campaign is also good for Google’s business. “We operate in many countries and have a very globally mobile workforce. We have had a number of instances where we have been trying to hire people into countries where there are these issues and have been unable to put the best person into a job in that country,”

In Singapore, sex between men is still a crime.  Section 377A of the Penal Code  of Singapore is the main remaining piece of legislation which criminalizes sex  between mutually consenting adult men.

Will Google run the “Legalize Gay” campaign in the USA?  That still remains to be seen.

But while America is not as bad as many counties in its treatment of the LGBT community, neither is the most progressive or the best.

Countries such as Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain. Canada, and even South Africa are far more accepting and advanced when it comes to LGBT Equality laws and acceptance.

And for that America, a country in which supposedly “all men are created equal”,  should be deeply ashamed.
