Iowa Passes Bill Banning Gay and Trans Panic Defense After Introducing "Don't Say Gay" Bill

The Country of Nepal Drafts New Laws To Re-criminalize Gay Sex Funded By The U.N. Developement Program

WTF

The country of Nepal whose Supreme Court ruled in 2007 to ensure broad protections for LGBT people and whose government was revently looking into legalizing same-sex marriage after a Supreme Court decision in 2008. Now 7 year later Justice minister Narahari Acharya of the ruling Nepali Congress is seeking to enact laws to re criminalize gay sex and make it punishable by 3 years in prison an even stricter punishment as the old law.  And to make matters even worse the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) actually funded the original two committees that drafted the new anti-gay laws codes but didn’t monuitor them!

Sunil Pant, the country’s first openly gay politician and former member of parliament, told Gay Star News in an email:

‘We are really concerned about this attempt of taking Nepal back to draconian era after so much progress we made. Unbelievable that the government is going all against the Supreme Court decisions on LGBTI rights and other minority and marginalized people’s rights in Nepal,’ he said.

Pant also demands to know why the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), which is known to be a supporter of LGBT rights worldwide, had provided funding for the original two committees that drafted the anti-gay codes but did not monitor their outcome.

‘Irony is that UNDP funded the original two committees to draft these codes and they said they did not have the clue what was being drafted. At least they should have been more vigilant whether their aid is being abused, misused or used properly.’

Discrimination and hate crimes brought to you by the United Nations.  Useless idiots.

Protestors Confront Jamaica’s PM At United Nations Over Country’s Anti-LGBT Laws and Hate

Jamacia Protest

The New York-based LGBT activist group Jamaica Anti-Homophobia Stand halted Jamaican Prime Minister Portia Simpson-Miller’s exit from a United Nations session at the Ford Foundation in New York City yesterday protesting the contininuing anti-gay violence and the countries vehemently gay and inhuman treatment of its LGBT citizens..

Shouting “Gay rights are human rights!” and “Portia, shame on you!” the group of seven protestors greeted the PM as she began to exit the Ford Foundation offices on East 43rd Street in Manhattan. Simpson-Miller stopped, waved at the protestors and blew kisses, then went back inside the building. Protestors paced the sidewalk outside the Ford Foundation for one hour with signs reading “Eight Gays Killed in 2012” and “Portia Protect Gay Citizens.” The group called for an end to Jamaica’s anti-gay laws, which tacitly condone attacks and murders of members of the LGBT community in Jamaica. Consensual sexual intercourse and interaction between homosexuals has been illegal since 1864. Gays are imprisoned for 10 years with hard labor under Jamaica’s Buggery Law and often brutalized and killed by anti-gay mobs if caught or suspected.

Blew kisses?  SHE BLEW KISSES!

Listen up travel agents and tourist.  Its time to chat up any other Caribbean destination and send your clients elsewhere. Its time to prove to Jamaica and their smug b**** of a leader that Jamaica’s ahte towards LGBT people is not tolerated.

NOT ONLY RUSSIA: 2 Men In Zambia Face 15 Years In Prison For “Acts Against The Order Of Nature”

Zambia gay persecution

Amnesty International reports that two gay men are being held in prison indefinitely while they are awaiting trail for being charged with “Acts Against The Order Of Nature”

Philip Mubiana, a hair dresser and James Mwape, a brick layer, were charged with committing acts “against the order of nature”. They have been in custody for more than four months after being denied bail. If convicted they face a minimum of 15 years in jail. Laws prohibiting consensual, private, same-sex sexual activity criminalise the legitimate exercise of the rights to freedom of expression, conscience, expression and privacy. These are protected in numerous treaties ratified by Zambia including the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the African Charter on Human and People’s Right.

In a separate case, human rights activist Paul Kasonkomona also faces charges of “idle and disorderly conduct” after giving a television interview in April urging Zambia to recognize the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex individuals.

U.S. assistance to Zambia has exceeded well over half a billion dollars in recent years.   USAID’s program in Zambia includes HIV/AIDS programs and monies to fight corruption and increase trade under the MCA Threshold Program.

Zambia which is part of the United Nations has been disregarding the U.N’.s Universal Declaration of Human Rights laws for years without suffering any ramifications.

Vitaly Churkin, Russia’s UN Ambassador: “What? We Don’t Have Anti-Gay Laws.”

Vitaly Churkin Russian liar

Both LGBT and straight human rights activists confronted Russian ambassador Vitaly Churkin of  the United Nations outside of his home in Manhattan over Russia’s human rights abuses to its LGBT citizens with its’s newly enacted anti-gay laws.

Churkin it turns out is in a state of denial.

Ambassador Vitaly Churkin arrived at his residence on New York’s Upper East Side in the late afternoon to find 10 activists from the international gay rights group All Out outside the wrought iron gates holding red placards saying: “340,457 worldwide say stop Russia’s anti-gay crackdown.” Minutes earlier, when they got no answer ringing the bell, they had slipped a CD with the signatures under the gate. Churkin picked up the CD and told the activists they should go through proper channels and deliver the petition to Russia’s U.N. Mission.

But he stopped for about 10 minutes to engage All Out’s co-founder and executive director Andre Banks and insist: “We don’t have anti-gay laws. We have laws banning homosexual propaganda among minors.” Banks countered that the word “propaganda” hasn’t been defined and gay people in Russia have been killed and arrested. “That’s not true,” Churkin retorted. “No gay people have been killed or harmed because they’re gay,” and if that were proven it would violate Russia’s constitution which guarantees equality to everybody “no matter what.”

Nobody has been harmed?  Seriously?

Tell that to the redheaded activist attacked by your paratroopers, who went unpunished.

Tell that to the gay teen who suicide after being humiliated by the neo-nazis, who again went unpunished.

All of this because of Russia’s anti-gay laws which do exist and create a climate of hate and an open hunting season in that country.

Russia isn’t anti-gay like 1930’s and 40’s  Germany wasn’t anti Semetic.

пошел на хуй Vitaly Churkin!

Could The UN Ban Conversion “Ex-Gay” Therapy?

rainbow-flag650

The United Nations recently met to discuss the affects conversion therapy. Also known as ex gay therapy, representatives from advocate groups, as well as religious leaders, and mental health professionals met to discuss the legitimacy of such practices that have faced a lot of recent media scrutiny. These representatives discussed their knowledge on the controversial measure as well as their own personal experiences with being a member of the LGBT community.

The topics of this meeting included the Uganda “Kill The Gays” bill as well as the studies that have shown the negative affects of said therapy. There was even a discussion of the noticeable doubt of the leaders that do support the barbaric mode of behavior modification. Especially when these leaders noted that the therapy does not “cure” homosexuality but does suppress urges. These leaders and organizations like Exodus always have a religious theme that claim that we can be saved through prayer.

You may remember the numerous reports I’ve done where I pointed out the side effects found by California task force when they introduced then passed a measure banning ex gay therapy for minors. The numerous mental health issues that arise are enough reason why this archaic  and secular based approach needs to be outlawed:

The task force concluded that sexual orientation change efforts can pose critical health risks to lesbian, gay, and bisexual people, including confusion, depression, guilt, helplessness, hopelessness, shame, social withdrawal, suicidality, substance abuse, stress, disappointment, self-blame, decreased self-esteem and authenticity to others, increased self-hatred, hostility and blame toward parents, feelings of anger and betrayal, loss of friends and potential romantic partners, problems in sexual and emotional intimacy, sexual dysfunction, high-risk sexual behaviors, a feeling of being dehumanized and untrue to self, a loss of faith, and a sense of having wasted time and resources.

So does this mean that these discussion by world leaders will lead to some sort of ban on the practices? Maybe. We’ve seen states like California ban the measure (even though that law is on hold) along with half a dozen other states looking to enact similar statutes. But at least more people are talking about it. Even the noted failure of people like Dr. Oz making a show of this controversial therapy, the more we talk about it, the more likely we are to see how harmful these type of reparative therapies are. And then that could lead to such practices being permanently banned. It’s progress.

INTERNATIONAL: Ugandan Gay Youth Worker Arrested For “Recruiting” Gays

Uganda

Joseph Kaweesi, founder of the LGBT group Youth on Rock Foundation and LGBT advocate, was arrested by Ugadan police on New Years ever and was charged with crimes relating to  ‘carnal knowledge (homosexuality)’ and ‘recruiting youth into homosexuality’.

LGBT rights advocate Melanie Nathan told Gay Star News that she received information that attorneys have spoken with Kaweesi being held at Kawempe police station, in Kampala, capital of Uganda. and that plans are being made to try to bail him.

Frank Mugishu, of the Sexual Minorities of Uganda (SMUG) charity has  confirmed that Kaweesi was arrested

Nathan went on to say that ‘it would seem to me that the police are preempting the Anti-Homosexuality Bill (also known as The Kill the Gays Bill)  ‘The arrest may be political as anti-gay catalysts for the Bill try to drum up more support for its passage.  Although there is an existing law which people can be charged under for “carnal knowledge or defilement,” there is currently no law that speaks to the so-called “recruitment” of homosexuals.”

Uganda still receives hundreds of millions of dollars in “humanitarian aid” from countries around the globe and is still a member of the United Nations despite its crimes against its LGBT people and rampant mass corruption within its government

President Obama Addresses UN General Assembly About Libya – Video

“But understand, the attacks of the last two weeks are not simply an assault on America. They are also an assault on the very ideals upon which the United Nations was founded — the notion that people can resolve their differences peacefully; that diplomacy can take the place of war; that in an interdependent world, all of us have a stake in working towards greater opportunity and security for our citizens.

If we are serious about upholding these ideals, it will not be enough to put more guards in front of an embassy, or to put out statements of regret and wait for the outrage to pass. If we are serious about these ideals, we must speak honestly about the deeper causes of the crisis — because we face a choice between the forces that would drive us apart and the hopes that we hold in common.

Today, we must reaffirm that our future will be determined by people like Chris Stevens — and not by his killers. Today, we must declare that this violence and intolerance has no place among our United Nations.”

UN Torture Investigator Confirms That Bradley Manning Was Treated In ‘Cruel and Inhumane’ Ways

An independent UN investigation into the treatment of  gay Wikileaks soldier Bradley Manning in Camp Arifjan in Kuwait and in Quantico in Virginia has concluded citing that the “US military was at least culpable of cruel and inhumane treatment”

The Guardian reports:

Juan Mendez has completed a 14-month investigation into the treatment of Manning since the soldier’s arrest at a US military base in May 2010. He concludes that the US military was at least culpable of cruel and inhumane treatment in keeping Manning locked up alone for 23 hours a day over an 11-month period in conditions that he also found might have constituted torture.

“The special rapporteur concludes that imposing seriously punitive conditions of detention on someone who has not been found guilty of any crime is a violation of his right to physical and psychological integrity as well as of his presumption of innocence,” Mendez writes.

The findings of cruel and inhuman treatment are published as an addendum to the special rapporteur’s report to the UN general assembly on the promotion and protection of human rights. They are likely to reignite criticism of the US government’s harsh treatment of Manning ahead of his court martial later this year.

This country should be ashamed.

We’ve become EVERYTHING that we originally fought against.

Obama To All UN Countries: Stand Up for Rights of Gays and Lesbians (Like We Don’t In America)

“And to make sure our societies reach their potential, we must allow our citizens to reach theirs. No country can afford the cancer of corruption. Together, we must harness the power of open societies and open economies. That is why we have partnered with countries from across the globe to launch a new partnership on Open Government that helps ensure accountability and empower citizens. No country should deny people their rights, the freedom of speech and freedom of religion, but also no country should deny people their rights because of who they love, which is why we must stand up for the rights of gays and lesbians everywhere. And no country can realize its potential if half its population cannot reach theirs. This week, the United States signed a new Declaration on Women’s Participation. Next year, we should each announce the steps we are taking to break down the economic and political barriers that stand in the way of women and girls. This is what our commitment to human progress demands.

Words…..words….. and more words.

This speech would have been better coming from the President or the person of a country where LGBT’s DO have full equality because last time I looked I can’ t get married, share benefits, be treated as viewed as equal under Federal law and can be openly discriminated against.

Hypocrite much ?
