Trump Supporters Form “(In)Human Wall” At El Paso Border [VIDEO]

It’s like Hands Across America for stupid bigots.

The Washington Post reports:

Men and women, waving American and Confederate flags, linked hands in support of the wall’s construction. Many wore signs around their necks bearing Trump rhetoric: “Stop the drugs that destroy our youth!” and “STOP CHILD TRAFFICKING.”

The protest comes ahead of Trump’s Monday visit to El Paso, which is located several miles from Sunland Park. The Trump administration said Sunday that the chances of another government shutdown had increased markedly over the weekend, as negotiations reached an impasse.

The group consisted of only about 2-3 dozen people.

It was a very small wall made by very small minded people.

Man Charged With Hate Crime After Assaults At Delaware Gay Pride Festival

Man Charged With Hate Crime After Assaults At Delaware Gay Pride Festival

A Delaware man has been charged with a hate crime after assaulting a man at a gay pride festival and groping two others on August 11th.

Dover police spokesman Mark Hoffman says witnesses at the festival contacted police, after finding a 62-year-old man bleeding from a punch in the mouth. Sean Wiley was identified as a suspect. Police say he was drunk and shouting slurs at festival attendees.

Besides the the assault Wiley also “grabbed the private body parts” of a 31-year-old man and 46-year-old woman at the festival. Hoffman says Wiley tried to punch an officer, and was arrested.

Wiley was initially charged with Offensive Touching (3 counts), Assault 3rd Degree, Menacing, Disorderly Conduct, Public Intoxication, Trespass 3rd Degree, and Resisting Arrest (felony). As the investigation progressed, police obtained a warrant for the Hate Crime charge.

Wiley was arrested and committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center, but has since been released on bond. It’s unclear whether he has a lawyer.

rump DOJ Files Supreme Court Brief Against Adoptions By LGBTs

Trump’s White House Applauds SCOTUS Ruling in Favor of Anti-Gay Baker

Although the Supreme Court handed Jack Phillips and his Masterpiece Bakery a “narrow” win that applies only to his incident with Colorado’s Civil Rights Commission and doesn’t set up a sweeping rule enabling anti-LGBT discrimination, many anti-LGBT groups have hailed the decision as a major win for religious freedom and now so does Donald Trump’s White House.

White House Press Secretary Sarah “Smokey Eye” Huckabee Sanders hailed Tuesday as a win for religious freedom the narrow ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court in favor of a Colorado baker who refused to serve a custom-made wedding cake to a same-sex couple.

“When it comes to the bakers, we were pleased with the Supreme Court’s decision,” Sanders said. “The First Amendment prohibits government discriminating against the basis of religious beliefs, and the Supreme Court rightly concluded that the Colorado Civil Rights Commission failed to show tolerance and respect for his religious beliefs.”

Sanders also alluded to support in the lawsuit for Masterpiece Cakeshop by the Trump administration. The U.S. Justice Department submitted a friend-of-the-court brief in favor of Colorado baker Jack Phillips and U.S. Solicitor General Neil Francisco argued before the Supreme Court on his behalf.

“In this case and others, the Department of Justice will continue to vigorously defend the free speech and religious freedom First Amendment rights,” Sanders said.

The Supreme Court’s vote was narrow not because of the number of justices for and against, but because of the slim precedent it sets.

The justices did not issue a definitive ruling on the circumstances under which people can seek exemptions from anti-discrimination laws based on their religious views. The decision also did not address important claims raised in the case including whether baking a cake is a kind of expressive act protected by the Constitution’s free speech guarantee. But simpler minds like those of many LGBT hate group leaders, their followers and it seems the White House itself is refusing to recognize that.

Two of the court’s four liberals, Stephen Breyer and Elena Kagan, joined the five conservative justices in the ruling authored by Justice Anthony Kennedy, who also was the author of the landmark 2015 decision legalizing gay marriage nationwide.

“The commission’s hostility was inconsistent with the First Amendment’s guarantee that our laws be applied in a manner that is neutral toward religion,” Kennedy wrote.

But Kennedy also stressed the importance of gay rights while noting that litigation on similar issues is likely to continue in lower courts.

“Our society has come to the recognition that gay persons and gay couples cannot be treated as social outcasts or as inferior in dignity and worth,” Kennedy wrote.

“The outcome of cases like this in other circumstances must await further elaboration in the courts, all in the context of recognizing that these disputes must be resolved with tolerance, without undue disrespect to sincere religious beliefs, and without subjecting gay persons to indignities when they seek goods and services in an open market,” Kennedy added.

Trump’s Only Pro-Gay Advisor Anthony Scaramucci Already Fired Before He Could Begin

Anthony Scaramucci, an investment firm founder who  professes to support LGBT rights was tapped to take on the outreach role at the Office of Public Engagement & Intergovernmental Affairs, a role similar to that of Valerie Jarrett. Scaramucci was informed on informed on Wednesday by White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus and Trump’s chief strategist Steve Bannon that he wouldn’t get the job.

In November, Scaramucci criticized the progressive movement for its current climate of uber-political correctness, which he said “the average person” rejects, but nonetheless insisted he’s a supporter of LGBT rights and has donated to the Human Rights Campaign and the American Unity PAC, a pro-LGBT Republican group.

“I’m also a gay rights activist,” Scaramucci said. “You can look it up. I’ve given to American Unity PAC, I’ve given to the Human Rights Campaign, I’m for marriage equality. And by the way, this’ll be the first American president in U.S. history that enters the White House with a pro-gay rights stance.”

On Twitter, Scaramucci also criticized North Carolina’s House Bill 2, which bars cities from enacting pro-LGBT ordinances and prohibits transgender people from using the restroom in schools and government buildings consistent with their gender identity. Scaramucci called it “shameful” and “a bill to address to non-existent problem.”

CBS News reports:

City police are investigating some type of an explosion in Center City that left a man injured on Tuesday morning. Police confirm they were investigating a suspicious package on Pine Street when the explosion occurred, reports CBS Philadelphia. Philly police officials tell CBS News the explosion was caused by some kind of device that the victim activated, and it came in a manila envelope. Police are talking to the victim and his partner and looking at everything, including the possibility of this being a hate crime. Officials tell CBS News they do not believe this is related to terrorism.

Police Commissioner Richard Ross said the victim appeared to be the intended target. Ross said the bomb squad described the explosive as a “victim activated device” that was sent specifically to the 60-year-old man, who triggered it when he opened the package in his home

Neighbors and a law enforcement source identified the victim as Jim Alden, who lives in the front, ground floor apartment in the building. Ross did not know specifically what the explosive was made from, but said it caused injuries to the victim’s face, chest, and hands, and is reported to be in stable condition at Jefferson University Hospital.

Police believe the package was not sent through the mail because the bar code on it was old, they believe the package could have been delivered over the weekend, but the victim did not open it until overnight Tuesday.

Hours after the explosion, investigators remained at the townhouse, which has a rainbow “Love Trumps Hate” sign in the front window.

Excuse me Philadelphia P.D. Hate crimes ARE terrorism.
