Former President Donald Trump sued CNN for defamation, claiming the cable news network has escalated a campaign of libel and slander against him recently because it fears he’ll run for re-election in 2024. Trump is seeking at least $475 million in damages, according to the filing. CNN has attempted to taint Trump “with a series of ever-more scandalous, false, and defamatory labels of ‘racist,’ ‘Russian lackey,’ ‘insurrectionist,’ and ultimately ‘Hitler,’” the former president’s lawyers said in the suit filed Monday in federal court in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Court in Florida? Isn’t CNN based in Atlanta?
Legal Zoom should open a satellite office at Mar-a-Lago.
Draft dodging, self defecating Motor City Moron Ted Nugent took the stage at the Donald Trump Grift Rally Saturday night at the Austin Convention Center in Texas and told Trump’s supporters to “go berserk on the skulls of Democrats.”
“I love you, but I would love you more if you went out and just went berserk on the skulls of the Democrats and the Marxists and the communists. Evil must be “stamped out.”
Ted Nugent to rabid trump supporters
Gotta wonder if the kickback $$$’s Nugent is getting from Trump will cover Nugent’s eventual arrest for inciting violence?
“Dear Patriots, It’s been a long, dark, and twisting road. After a year of delays, I’m hopeful that tomorrow will finally bring my sentencing, and that that will finally bring us to the beginning of the end. It has been a year of indescribable pain, stress, worry, pressure, and fear. My hope is that no matter what happens at my sentencing, even if it’s the very worst possible outcome, that it will bring us to a point of being able to let go of the burden of constantly wondering what is next, and asking, “What if? What if?”. I hope that just simply knowing what IS will be the beginning of moving forward from all of this. There have been 10 delays which have strung my case out for a year. I can only hope that sentencing will be tomorrow, as scheduled, but it ain’t over until it’s ACTUALLY over- so please include in your prayers that this really does take place tomorrow and that we’re on to the first step of moving on.” – Convicted HomoCON Jan 6 rioter and Walk Away Founder- Brandon Straka
What a Drama Queen!
Federal prosecutors on Thursday recommended a sentence of only four months of home detention and three years probation for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol. (It’s noted that Straka encouraged and celebrated the violence of the day but did not personally engage in violence or property destruction during the riot.)
In other words: Traitor and right wing nutjob begs for empathy about what his crimes ‘put him through’ while he raises money for nothing because the grift must go on!
Jan. 6 committee chair Bennie Thompson says on ABC that the investigation has uncovered the insurrection “appeared to be a coordinated effort on the part of a number of people to undermine the election.” including GOP Congressmen.
Thompson, said his panel has evidence of interactions between members of the House and the rioters that day but not necessarily of a significant nature and said the committee wanted to hear from Reps. Scott Perry (R-Pa.) and Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) about their activities, though he said it was not clear if his panel would or even could subpoena them.
When asked if the House Jan. 6 committee has found any significant evidence that members of Congress may be culpable in attack, chair Rep. Bennie Thompson tells George Stephanopoulos, “we’re in the process of getting to that.”
Funny but I seem to remember a video of Republicans giving the rioters tours of the Capitol in the days leading up to the Cracker Barrel Putsch despite the fact that tours were cancelled over COVID fears. That’s a good place to start for HARD evidence.

The Trump administration is trying to block billions of dollars for states to conduct testing and contact tracing in the upcoming coronavirus relief bill, people involved in the talks said Saturday.
The administration is also trying to block billions of dollars that GOP senators want to allocate for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and billions more for the Pentagon and State Department to address the pandemic at home and abroad, the people said.
The administration’s posture has angered some GOP senators, the officials said, and some lawmakers are trying to push back and ensure that the money stays in the bill. The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity to reveal confidential deliberations, cautioned that the talks were fluid and the numbers were in flux.
As of this writing over 140,000 Americans have died been murdered due to Donald Trump and his administration’s mishandeling of the coronavirus pandemic since March of this year.
” “LGBTI rights are human rights. Human rights are universal,” said the caption on the embassy’s Instagram page. “Pride Month is designed to emphasize that everyone deserves to live a life free of hate, prejudice, and persecution.”
Putin spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented that they “can’t see the American embassy from the Kremlin,” but said that “any manifestations of propaganda of non-traditional sexual minorities, and so on, is not allowed by law in our country.”
Yesterday millions of Russians took to the polls to vote on a package of constitutional amendments, including one which would enshrine marriage as being between a man and a woman. In March, the country’s Constitutional Court approved the proposal, but noted that it would not remove the state’s obligation to respect differences, including sexual orientation.
We will post the results of the vote when the numbers become available.
Right Wing Watch reports that in the 1990’s anti-gay Christian crypt keeper Pat Robertson of the Christian Broadcasting Network placed Donald Trump impeachment team lawyer Jay Sekulow to run Robertson’s newly founded American Center for Law and Justice.
Robertson created the ACLJ as an anti-ACLU type group. Sekulow and the ACLJ opposed to laws protecting the rights of LGBT people in the U.S. and abroad. The ACLJ argued on behalf of state laws criminalizing gay sex that were overturned by the Supreme Court in 2003. Sekulow has said that the state has a “compelling interest to ban the act of homosexuality.”
In Africa, ACLJ worked to shape constitutional language in Zimbabwe, where it has fought to maintain criminalization of homosexuality.
Sekulow and his son Jordan opened affiliated offices of the ACLJ in Africa to lobby politicians to “take the Christian’s views into consideration as they draft legislation and policies,” according to ACLJ’s website. ACLJ’s Zimbabwe office has pushed an agenda that backs outlawing same-sex marriage and making sure that homosexuality “remain[s] a criminal activity.” (Zimbabwe had outlawed homosexuality in 2006.)
Zimbabwean president Robert Mugabe is among the most ruthless dictators in the world—but in 2010 ACLJ-Zimbabwe’s chairman, pastor Alex Chisango, led Mugabe and others in prayer to kick off Zimbabwe’s constitutional reform drive. ACLJ wanted to ensure that, whatever else changed in the country’s constitution, homosexuality remained illegal and same-sex marriage was banned.
Documents obtained by the Guardian show Sekulow approved plans to push poor and jobless people to donate money to his Christian nonprofit, which since 2000 has steered more than $60 million to Sekulow, his family and their businesses.
Telemarketers for the nonprofit, Christian Advocates Serving Evangelism (Case), were instructed in contracts signed by Sekulow to urge people who pleaded poverty or said they were out of work to dig deep for a “sacrificial gift”.
“I can certainly understand how that would make it difficult for you to share a gift like that right now,” they told retirees who said they were on fixed incomes and had “no extra money” – before asking if they could spare “even $20 within the next three weeks”.
Other scripts that Sekulow contact representatives used to raise money siad that money was needed for Case’s “massive campaign to repeal and replace Obamacare” and that the “Christian” US was under siege from both Muslim terrorists and a liberal political elite led by President Obama supposedly desperate to increase the national abortion rate.
Kellyanne Conway on Sunday defended conditions in a border detention facility she toured, saying they demonstrate what happens when “Congress gets its act together.”
“I witnessed no overcrowding, I saw lots of supplies, I saw diapers, I saw food, I saw endless supplies of water,” the White House counselor said on “Fox News Sunday,” referring to a facility she recently visited near McAllen, Texas.
“What I saw is what happens when Congress gets its act together and passes humanitarian aid,” she added
That’s exactly what the Nazis said about their concentration camps. They even went so far as to make showcase concentration camps for the Red Cross to inspect
Someone please smack that bitch already. Repeatedly.
Federal authorities have arrested a South Florida man and accused him of calling the offices of three members of Congress and leaving threatening, racist and homophobic messages. John Kless, 49, has been charged with making threatening communications after U.S. Capitol Police say he called up U.S. Sen. Cory Booker and U.S. Reps. Rashida Tlaib and Eric Swalwell Tuesday and unleashed foul, profanity-laced rants onto their office voicemails.
Kless, according to a criminal complaint, warned Swalwell — a California congressman who is running for a president on a gun-safety platform — that he’d be dead before Americans would lose their guns. “The day you come after our guns, motherf***er, is the day you’ll be dead,” Kless said, according to the complaint. “Along with everybody in the f***ing government.”
In his message to Tlaib’s office, Kless referenced Omar’s recent “some people did something” comments about 9/11 — a statement Omar made to argue that all Muslims should not be punished for the actions of the few who committed the attacks.
Kless repeatedly used the N-word to refer to Booker and called him a “monkey,” according to court records, adding he wanted to kill black men like the senator. “You’re a fucking disgrace,” Kless allegedly said. “We need to kill all you motherfuckers, man, every fucking one of you, man.”
Even though his party lost control of the House, President Donald Trump declared a “big victory” on Wednesday morning as he focused on Republicans picking up seats in the Senate.
The Associated Press projects the chamber will remain in Republican hands, with a Democratic takeover bid blocked after losses in Indiana and North Dakota. But Democrats, fueled by wins in key suburbs, will control the House come November.
28 out of the 31 candidates Donald Trump endorsed lost.
The Democrats gained more than the 23 seats they need to take over the 435-seat lower chamber.
They can now launch investigations into the Trump administration’s business affairs, from tax returns to potential conflicts of interest.
The Democrats could also more effectively block his legislative plans.
