San Francisco - Dee Snider Responds to SF Pride After Being Axed: “So I Hear I’m Transphobic. Really?”

San Francisco – Dee Snider Responds to SF Pride After Being Axed: “So I Hear I’m Transphobic. Really?”

Cites his long history as an LGBTQ+ supporter after being “cancelled” for supposed anti-trans post. But really, was it transphobic?

Former Twisted Sister front man Dee Snider was recently as Grand Marshall and opening rally performer at the upcoming San Francisco Pride Parade after he showed support for a “controversia”l statement made by KISS’ Paul Stanley about sex reassignment treatment for children.

Long story short Stanley stated that “normalizing” sex reassignment for children has “turned it into a sad and dangerous fad,”  Snider chimed in, “You know what? There was a time where I ‘felt pretty’ too. Glad my parents didn’t jump to any rash conclusions! Well said, @PaulStanleyLive.”

San Francisco Pride has stated that it was “heartbroken and angry” when the singer “expressed support for Kiss’s Paul Stanley’s transphobic statement.” despite the fact that “Dee has always been a vocal supporter of LGBTQ+ rights.”

In a Facebook post on Friday (May 5th) Snider clapped back with a post titled, “So I Hear I’m Transphobic. Really?,”

“Why did the San Francisco Gay Pride Parade invite me, Dee Snider to be a Grand Marshal in their parade and sing ‘We’re Not Gonna Take It’ on the center stage at what could possibly be the most important LGBTQIA+ gathering in the organization’s long history. To quote Joe Garofoli, San Francisco Chronicle‘s senior political writer, ‘… Dee Snider [is] a longtime supporter of LGBTQ rights…’

I have ALWAYS stood with the community and its important causes. I was honored to accept the San Francisco Gay Pride Parade’s invitation and I even gave my blessing for ‘We’re Not Gonna Take It’ to be used as this year’s battle cry [‘Queer Not Gonna Take It!’].

Is that transphobic?

I was not aware the Transgender community expects fealty and total agreement with all their beliefs and any variation or deviation is considered ‘transphobic.’

So, my lifetime of supporting the Transgender community’s right to identify as they want and honoring whatever changes they may make in how they present themselves to the world isn’t enough? Why not?

I’ve recently stated I do not believe young children are ready to decide their gender allocation. I believe their choices should be supported and accepted by their parents, but I do not think kids have the mental capabilities to make rational, logical decisions on things of a magnitude that will affect them for the rest of their lives. I do not believe they are mentally developed enough.

Dr. Jennifer Katzenstein [director of psychology, neuropsychology and social work, and co-director of the Center for Behavioral Health at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital] says, ‘…it is important for parents to remember that development varies across children, and that one age (such as age 7) is not the end of development, or a ‘deadline for developing reasoning skills.’ Cognitive development continues into adulthood, and as parents, it is our responsibility to continue to challenge and support our children.’

Well said. It’s just good parenting.

I am a proud moderate. I drive a Tesla and a Hummer. I have too many guns but strongly support intelligent gun control. I have four children yet fight for a woman’s right to choose. I am a motorcycle riding environmentalist. I am a heterosexual who proudly supports LBGTQIA+ rights. To me (and I believe to many of you) none of these things are mutually exclusive.

The Transgender community needs moderates who support their choices, even if we don’t agree with every one of their edicts. For some Transgender people (not all) to accuse supporters, like me, of transphobia is not a good look for their cause.

Don’t reject people who are willing to march, sing and stand with you just because we don’t perfectly see eye-to-eye. We are still your allies.

I, Dee Snider, will continue to support the Transgender community and their right to choose even if they reject me and moving forward, I am open to educating myself so I can be a better ally.

Sincerely, Dee Snider, your cisgender, crossdressing ally.”

So the question is this. Is it really “transphobic” to have the opinion that young children should wait until they are older (like in tier teens) before making such a life-altering decision just to be sure?

What are your HONEST thoughts on sex re-assignment when it comes to young children?

Leave a comment. If you are brave enough.

Indiana School Board Member Caught On Video Saying 'CRY ME A RIVER' Over LGBT Suicides

Indiana School Board Member Caught On Video Saying ‘CRY ME A RIVER’ Over LGBT Suicides

Members of the LGBT group the Tri-State Alliance (TSA) of Southeastern Illinois, southwestern Indiana and western Kentucky. went to a to speak with the Evansville-Vandeburgh County School Corporation school board to talk about the unmet needs of LGB and transgender students at a school in their district.

Six of the 10 activists in the group signed up to speak at the meeting, but only one was allowed as the others were allegedly denied by board president Karen Ragland. Five more were eventually allowed to speak only after vocal protests were launched by the TSA.

After the meeting, a board member identified as Ann Ennis, approached the protesters to confront them.

In the video footage posted on the TSA’s Facebook page, one of the activists—identified as TSA President Wally Paynter can be heard calling Ennis, “so transphobic. When you met with us, you were so transphobic.”

At that point Ennis backs away from the group saying “cry me a river,” while making a sweeping gesture with her arms and hands that appears to be a violin-playing motion.

“Cry me a river?” Paynter asks.

Another person can then be heard saying, “oh, cry us a river about the kids who have died?”

Paynter, then says, “kids commit suicide, you don’t care.”

The second activist added, “you’re a… shitty person” before the video cut off.

According to a study published in 2017 by the Indiana State Department of Health, the third-highest cause of death among 10- to 14-year-old Indiana citizens is suicide. Among 15- to 24-year-olds, it is the second-highest cause.

You can contact Ann Ennis and School President Karen Ragland by calling or emailing the information below.

This horrendous and sick behavior cannot go unpunished.

Cincinnati ER Nurse Resigns After Posting Abusive Anti-LGBT Rant On Facebook

Cincinnati ER Nurse Resigns After Posting Abusive Anti-LGBT Rant On Facebook

A Cincinatti, Ohio emergency room nurse has “resigned” after having a transphobic, homophobic meltdown on Facebook over Procter & Gamble removing the female “Venus” symbol from its packaging on its ‘Always’ menstrual products last week

Cindy Carter, who worked for Tri-Health posted the following on Facebook:

Fuck ‘Always.’ This country has gone to complete shit,”

Why do certain applications ask for LEGAL SEX … you’re either male or female. There’s no fucking in between. Jesus people – get your heads on straight. Grab a mirror – it’s easy. You either have a dick or you don’t.

I swear, these fucking cock sucking homos think that they deserve everything. And the confused woman are just as bad. Men need to be men. Women need to be women. Stop the stupid ass ‘man buns’ and man you buns up to do some hard labor.”

Tri-Health a major Cincinnati health provider, opened an investigation on the allegations after openly gay Cincinnati City Councilman Chris Seelbach shared a screenshot of the post on his Twitter account.

“Cindy Carter is a nurse at @TriHealth. As an LGBTQ+ person, I don’t feel comfortable using their services until I know Mrs. Carter would never treat me,” he wrote. “Until TriHealth terminates the employment of Carter, I will not be using their services,” he concluded adding the hashtag #BoycottTriHealth.

On Thursday, TriHealth CEO Mark Clement released a statement saying that the investigation was over, “because the individual involved in this matter “voluntarily” resigned her position.” and went on to say that the company, which employs roughly 11,500 individuals, does not “condone these derogatory comments made about LGBTQ community members.”

New UK Group LGB Alliance Labeled Transphobic For Not Including The "T"

New UK Group LGB Alliance Labeled Transphobic For Not Including The “T”

A newly formed lesbian, gay and bisexual alliance group in the UK has come under heavy criticism for making their focus of issues pertaining to ” the right of lesbians, bisexuals and gay men to define themselves as same-sex attracted.” and for excluding the transgender community, prompting some to label it transphobic for its vision that ” gender is a social construct.”

Bev Jackson, a co-founder of the Gay Liberation Front one of the first gay activists groups formed after the Stonewall riots of 1969 and spokesperson for the LGB Alliance, told  Britian’s The Independent: “We did not, do not, exclude trans people. Several trans people attended the meeting, one as a guest speaker. We are not attacking trans people.

“Our group focuses on sexual orientation. This has become necessary, because lesbians in particular, and recently gay men too, are suffering from the confusion between sex and gender. Lesbians and gay men are people who are attracted to others of the same sex. I fought for their rights to be respected fifty years ago and am sad that I need to defend those rights again today.”

Stonewall UK , Britain’s main LGBT activism and charity group has been trying to distance itself from the new group after reports have claimed the that major supporters and donors of the new LGB group have left Stonewall and are now supporting them.

Paul Twocock, Stonewall’s interim CEO said: “There is no truth to reports of Stonewall ‘splitting’, so please ignore the alarmist headlines.

“These stories don’t refer to any current Stonewall staff or trustees. There is no equality for lesbian, gay and bi people without equality for trans people. We’re all united in our mission to achieve acceptance without exception for all LGBT+ people.”

LGBTQ+ rights activist Alok Vaid-Menon, took to Instagram to condemn the group.

“A new trans + non binary exclusionary alliance organization between cis lesbian, gay, + bisexual people was just announced in the UK as a reaction to the quote rise in ‘gender extremism.’ Let’s be clear: the real extreme gender ideology is the colonial gender binary forcibly imposed on indigenous peoples across the world, erasing thousands of alternative gender-sex systems, responsible for countless murders of trans + gender variant people + spreading the pervasive myth that we are ‘new.

Feminism without respecting trans women & non-binary people is just patriarchy,” they continued. “Reducing women to their genitalia & reproductive capacity is just misogyny. Fortifying gender and sex binaries is not progressive, it is racist and conservative.”

Comments on Twitter have also not been kind to Britain’s new LGB Alliance.

Does the LGBTQIA+ umbrella always have to be together? Or should specific sub-sections of our community be allowed to work separately or together on their own issues without being labeled “phobic”?

International Comedy Festival Removes Barry Humphries (Dame Edna) Name From Award Over Transphobia

International Comedy Festival Removes Barry Humphries (Dame Edna) Name From Award Over Transphobia

The Melbourne International Comedy Festival said its prestigious Barry Award for best show would be renamed.

Humphries, best known for his character Dame Edna Everage, has repeatedly drawn anger and outrage for his comments about transgender people – to which he later defended himself.

His remarks had “definitely played a part” in the change, the festival said.

Humphries co-founded the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in 1987, and it is now one of the world’s premier comedy events. Its top prize has been named in his honor since 2000.

In one comment in which Humphries claimed to have been speaking in character when referred to gender-reassignment surgery as “self-mutilation” in a 2016 interview with The Telegraph. He also described Caitlyn Jenner as a “publicity-seeking rat-bag”.

Humphries has also called being trans a ‘fashion’ in the past

Previous winners of the Barry, including Hannah Gadsby and Zoe Coombs Marr, called for the award to be renamed after he made the above comments.

GetEQUAL Shuts Down! - Group Becomes Victim of It's Own Social Justice Agenda

GetEQUAL Shuts Down! – Group Becomes Victim of It’s Own Social Justice Agenda

GetEQUAL’s newly appointed Executive Director Gabriel Garcia-Vera announced today that the group will be shutting down immediately following a scandal surrounding the termination of a former staffer, Campaign Manager Aaryn Lang who accused the board of racism and transphobia.

“I have learned so much over the last few months, but one thing I have always known is that the movement and the world need fewer people in power who are ready to abuse it for their insecure whims,” Lang wrote on Facebook. “We all deserve better from the people and places that have aligned themselves with justice.”

Lang demanded GetEQUAL make donations to the Marsha P. Johnson Institute, Trans Sistas of Color Collective, Black Queer and Intersectional Columbus and No Justice No Pride which the GE has worked closely with in the past.

Garcia-Vera denied the allegations of discrimination but also put some blame on the groups closing on finances, even though they supposedly just came off a successful donor drive. “Our financial assets are barely sufficient to cover our operations for more than a few weeks. Our board of directors has collapsed. Raising new revenue and rebuilding the board would be a tremendous challenge even if we weren’t in the middle of a social media storm,” Garcia-Vera wrote in an open letter to the community. “But even more importantly, I fear that our capacity to advance our mission has been undermined.”

GetEQUAL was founded in 2010 by Robin McGehee, who was co-director of the National Equality March that took place in Washington, D.C..

GetEQUAL original mission statement was to secure complete Federal civil rights for the LGBT community and staged a series of protests against “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell,” which included Lt. Dan Choi and other service members handcuffing themselves to the White House fence.

Next Heather Cronk picked up the gauntlet as leader of the group following the civil rights message but it was not until Angela Peoples joined and started to take over that GetEQUAL changed its message to a QPOC (Queer People of Color), Trans Rights group.  And it protests changed from handcuffing themselves to the White House gates to protesting Pride Parades thus cutting out their base donors.

The irony of a GetEQUAL a being accused of racism and transphobia after years of accusing the gay and lesbian community of racism and transphobia is not lost on many in the community who have questioned their tactics and behavior after People’s took charge.

Gay Bashing, Homophobia and Transphobia Takes Place At Philadelphia’s 2016 Mummers Parade – Video

Mummers Fruit Loops

The Mummers Parade is held each New Year’s Day in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The costumed celebrants loudly parading through the city in satirical costumes traces back to mid-17th-century roots it is believed to be the oldest folk festival in the United States.

But this year the parade was not without controversy this year with a gay-bashing incident and critics leveling accusations of racism and homophobia over some of the acts.

John Holtz says he was walking his dog when two mummers in red, white, and blue outfits began shouting homophobic slurs.  “I turned over to the guy just to kind of say, ‘cool your jets, buddy.’ His buddy jumped in and clocks me in the face,” Holtz said.

Another controversial act during the march was Finnegan’s NYB’s ‘Finnegan Goes for the Gold’ featuring Bruce Jenner turning into Caitlyn Jenner as a Wheaties box was held side by side with a Froot Loops box. And a costumed Caitlyn Jenner marching alongside. While a marcher yelled, “Fuck the gays, Fuck the gays.”

Finnegans released a tweet saying it cannot be responsible for the actions of a few members

Rich Porco, the President of the Comics Division, tells Action News there was “no intent to harm or degrade anyone with the performances. This sort of satire has been around for 116 years.”

New York City Ad Agency Suspends Chief Executive Over Transphobic Rant Column

Gavin McInnes

Gavin McInnes the hipster chief creative officer of Rooster in New York City and occasional contributor to FOX NEWS has been put on suspension after writing a  repulsive transphobic column for Thought Catalog.

Excerpt:

“We’re all transphobic. We aren’t blind. We see there are no old trannies. They die of drug overdoses and suicide way before they’re 40 and nobody notices because nobody knows them. They are mentally ill gays who need help, and that help doesn’t include being maimed by physicians. These aren’t women trapped in a man’s body. They are nuts trapped in a crazy person’s body. I see them on the streets of New York. They are guys with tits and a sweatshirt. They wear jeans and New Balance. “What’s the matter with simply being a fag who wears makeup?” I think when I see them. You’re not a woman. You’re a tomboy at best. Get fucked in the ass. And ladies, if you’re a butch lesbian, you’re a lady with a lot of testosterone. Put a dick on a belt and fuck your girlfriend. You don’t need to turn your vagina inside out. You’re not a man. You don’t even know what Turf Builder is.”

WHOA!  What a “cis-gender” asshole right?

AdWeek reports on the outrage and outcome of McInnes’ crazed piece below

Gavin McInnes, chief creative officer of Rooster in New York, has been asked to take an indefinite leave of absence following the publication of a transphobic essay. Published earlier this week onThought Catalog, “Transphobia is Perfectly Natural” has at publication received 2,082 comments. It has also sparked a “Boycott Rooster” movement, with Tumblr and Twitter accounts asking followers to let Rooster clients—Vans, Red Bull, Fox Sports and others—know they will not support companies that work with McInnes. “Gavin’s views are his own and do not represent those of the company or its members,” said a Rooster representative. “We are extremely disappointed with his actions and have asked that he take a leave of absence while we determine the most appropriate course of action.”

Well I suppose now the bigoted hipster asshole can work for FOX News full time.

Bigots Go Bonkers Over “Kinky Boots” Performance At Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade – Video

kink Boots Macy's Parade

Within seconds of the beginning of a musical number from the Tony Award winning Broadway musical “Kinky Boots” this morning at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade anti-LGBT bigots took to Twitter, Facebook, and other forms of social media howling like banshee’s proving that hate does not take a holiday.

Melissa Dickey Boff Cannot believe that there is a dance skit called “Kinky Boots.” I thought this was supposed to be a family event….not appropriate at all. Recording is deleted and not watching this again. Will also shop elsewhere….I’ve got plenty of other options.
Rebecca Gunder We just changed the channel , not to excited about the drag queen show! Stay classy
Adam Cervas Macy’s worst decision ever with your cross dresser show on Thanksgiving, you’ve completely removed the family part of thanksgiving. Absolutely disgusting, whoever made that decision should be fired.
Shelby Wells Shame on you for putting transvestites in a traditionally family-friendly, wholesome event as the Thanksgiving Day parade. Awful of you to insinuate sexualization of children into this event- evil!
Rebecca Kling Boycotting Macy’s immediately. My entire family and I were altogether disgusted. Changed the channel within seconds of the “Kinky Boots” act, before my young children were exposed to the highly sexualized explicit adult material. Disappointed is an understatement. As a business, you know that Word Of Mouth (WOM) communication is a huge part of marketing. You should also know that negative WOM spreads faster than positive. Be assured, I will never say another positive word about your company, but will make sure those who missed out on the debacle of your parade this year are aware of your grand entrance into the push of sexuality onto young children. A public apology is owed. Americans deserve better than this.
And that’s only the armature bigots.  Wait until tomorrow when the pro’s like Tony Perkins, Bryan Fischer, and One Million Old Biddys Moms show up.
As for them boycotting.  If I were Macy’s I wouldn’t worry. It’s doubtful that any of these knuckle dragging, trailer park dwelling neanderthal bigots shop at Macy’s at all  let alone afford it.   But while these transphobic inbred assholes rant on and bash macy’s about the inclusion of the musical number lets all drop over to Macy’s Facebook page and leave a note of THANKS for making this years parade diverse and for all families.
