As I posted yesterday Ohio ReTHUGlicans and Tea Party loons are not only trying to screw over Ohio’s State Employees, Unions and blue collar workers workers but they’ve also secretly added an attack on LGBT Ohionas as well stuck into the middle of  the controversial Senate Bill 5.

We MUST put a drop to this.  This whole GOP loony Tea Party bullshit of taking away from the people of the State to balance the budget of their screw-ups and allowing them to use the power that they have to destroy the REAL Americans and also use their power to push a rabid bigoted hateful agenda.

It’s time to say enough of this bullshit.  We’ve played nice against the GOP and the Tea Party and it doesn’t work.  Face it. Nice guys don’t win.  It’s time to get angry and it’s time to have our voices heard. Because for us not to stand up and do something….anything and try and stop these assholes makes us just as bad as they are and then we deserve what we get.

Being “above it” and taking the “high road” is the reason why Democrats get walked all over.  Being “above it” and taking the “high road” is why Heath Care reform and become a lame watered down joke. Being “above it” and taking the “high road” and not fighting back against the GOP and Tea Baggers is why they are in power today and being “above it” and taking the “high road” is why 40 years after the Stonewall Riots we still not have equal rights and are treated as second class citizens.

First Wisconsin and now Ohio which has the nerve to not only to attack and try to bust up Unions but has to the nerve to bash LGBT Ohioans at the same time.

And let me make one thing perfectly clear.  This is not about the budgets.  It’s not about money.  These GOP bills are about busting up the Unions which are the last bit of muscle that the Democratic party has.  this is nothing more than the GOP trying to obtain absolute power so they can corrupt absolutely.

We ALL must do our best to stop them!

Today at The Ohio State House in Columbus there will be a massive protest Statehouse Against SB 5 and Kasich’s Anti-Worker Agenda but more than just physical protesters are needed.

I am calling on you ALL out there weather you live in Ohio or not to take 5 minutes and stand up and FIGHT against this Bill.  Weather you be gay, straight, black, white or purple.  If you are Pro Choice, Pro Gun Control, Pro Union, Pro Civil Rights, Pro Equality or just Pro Sanity we must ban together and PROVE that we will not let them do this and walk all over us.

Call  Ohio State House and tell them that you will NOT STAND FOR SB 5.  Lets jam the phone lines. And you know what?  You don’t have to be nice and polite.  Get angry.  BE ANGRY.  AND LET THEM KNOW IT!  Anger is an important weapon.  Tell them the truth.  Tell them whats in your heart and call them out!

Lets try to get as many phone calls and emails as we can to Columbus because if we don’t stop this now we are all in danger of losing whats left of our way of life.

Republicans In South Dakota Introduce Bill Legalizing The Murder Of Abortion Doctors

South Dakota Tea Party Republican  Rep. Phil Jensen. (And lets get something straight here.  The Tea Party is a part of the GOP like Blue Dogs and progressives are a part of the Democratic Party so enough of this bullshit that they are a seperate entity.  The Tea Party was CREATED by the GOP and IS THE GOP) and GOP lawmakers have introduced a bill classifying a murder done “in the defense of a fetus” as justifiable homicide.

A law under consideration in South Dakota would expand the definition of “justifiable homicide” to include killings that are intended to prevent harm to a fetus—a move that could make it legal to kill doctors who perform abortions. The Republican-backed legislation, House Bill 1171, has passed out of committee on a nine-to-three party-line vote, and is expected to face a floor vote in the state’s GOP-dominated House of Representatives soon. ” The bill, sponsored by state Rep. Phil Jensen, a committed foe of abortion rights, alters the state’s legal definition of justifiable homicide by adding language stating that a homicide is permissible if committed by a person “while resisting an attempt to harm” that person’s unborn child or the unborn child of that person’s spouse, partner, parent, or child. If the bill passes, it could in theory allow a woman’s father, mother, son, daughter, or husband to kill anyone who tried to provide that woman an abortion—even if she wanted one.

Ans of course the Christomaniac loons turned out to testify for the Bill en mass.  Including the ever so Mormon Phyllis Schlafly’s Eagle Forum,  the Concerned Women for America, and the Family Heritage Alliance.

Colorado Senate candidates Ken Buck (R) and incumbent Sen. Michael Bennet (D) met for a debate on Meet The Press this morning and sparred on the budget, the Tea Party and flip-flops. But the most controversial moment came when host David Gregory asked Buck if he believes that being gay is a choice. Buck responded that he thought it was a choice, but allowed that “birth has an influence over it, like alcoholism and some other things.” The comments came at the end of the debate, when Gregory asked Buck to expand on some recent comments he’d made about “lifestyle choices” when expressing his support for the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. Buck said he believed being gay is a choice, and Gregory asked him: “based on what?” “Based on what?” Buck said. “I guess you could choose who your partner is.” “I think that birth has an influence over it, like alcoholism and some other things,” Buck continued. “But I think that, basically, you have a choice.”

About 200 “so called christians” who oppose recent diversity initiatives implemented by the city of Fort Worth, TX after the last years June 28 raid on the Rainbow Lounge by officers with the Fort Worth Police Department and agents of the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission. packed Cowtown’s City Council chambers on Tuesday, July 13 led by Republican and closeted Tea Party, bigoted wingnut Richard Clough who is an UBER– failed candidate for Tarrant County judge who is an associate minister with Kenneth Copeland Ministries. (Which by the way has been involved in a tax fraud scandal.)

The Ft, Worth council’s diversity initiatives included improving diversity training for all city employees, domestic partner benefits for gay and lesbian city employees, coverage of gender reassignment surgery for transgender employees in transition, promoting the city as a destination for LGBT tourism, and lobbying for passage of state and federal laws banning anti-LGBT discrimination in employment.The task force also recommended that the council amend the city’s nondiscrimination ordinance to specifically prohibit discrimination based on gender identity and the The city council voted, 6-3, on Nov. 11 last year to add specific gender identity protections to the nondiscrimination ordinance.

Thomas Anable, president of Fairness Fort Worth said he learned on Monday of e-mails that had been circulated over the weekend among conservative and evangelical Christian churches, calling on evangelical Christians to pack the council chambers at Tuesday’s meeting.  “They said last November when the task force’s report was presented to the council, and when the council voted on the transgender ordinance, they said then that they had been left out and that they would be back,” Anable said. “Every meeting that the task force had was open to the public, and nobody showed up. I think, with the CCPD budget on the agenda this week, they saw an opportunity to try and make a sneak attack.”  (The budget included funds to pay for diversity training for police officers and for officer recruitment efforts within the LGBT community)

Richard Clough stood at the podium flanked by supporters wearing paper badges printed with the word “Truth,” and began by accusing Mayor Mike Moncrief and the council of “intentionally hiding the implementation of a homosexual agenda.” The accusation prompted an angry rebuttal for the mayor, who threatened to have Clough removed from the council chambers if he continued with “personal attacks.” The two men argued briefly, with Clough continuing to speak over the mayor’s admonishments and with Moncrief at one point turning off the microphone at the podium where Clough stood.  When Moncrief allowed Clough to continue, the minister accused the mayor of refusing to meet with him, although some council members had met with him. Clough said that “every voice was not heard” on the Diversity Task Force’s recommendations, adding that the council was going against the wishes of the majority of the city’s citizens who had, he said, voted against same-sex marriage in 2004 by a 77 percent majority.

He criticized the city for spending money to send lobbyists to Washington, D.C., to promote passage of the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, and for promoting the city as a destination for LGBT tourism.

“Who are you promoting it to? Queer liberation [possibly a reference to the now-defunct direct action group Queer LiberAction]? To NAMBLA — the North American Man-Boy Love Association? Or are you just promoting it to the gay chambers?” Clough said.

Clough also criticized the addition of gender identity to the city’s nondiscrimination ordinance, suggesting that council members “ask the ladies do they want a man who suffers from gender identity disorder coming in on them in the bathroom. … If they gays want to promote something, let them spend their own money to promote it.”
