Ted Cruz: "Gun Laws Don't Work" (Especially after the almost half a million dollars I've gotten from the NRA and others.)

GOP Senator Ted Cruz: “Gun Laws Don’t Work” (Especially after the almost half a million dollars I’ve gotten from the NRA and others.)

Via AXIOS:

In the wake of the Texas elementary school shooting, where 19 kids and 2 adults were killed, there is renewed scrutiny on the hundreds of thousands of dollars Republican lawmakers have received in campaign contributions from groups supporting gun rights. Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) received the most money from gun rights supporters. On Tuesday, he received major backlash for responding to the shooting by saying that gun control will not help and that “we need to devote far more law enforcement resources to stopping violent criminals.” Reality check: Experts say that there is a lack of evidence that suggests that increased police presence in schools actually improves safety and instead could “significantly disrupt learning environments.”

According to the AXIOS’ chart above Cruz clocks in at an estimated $442,000.00 in gun rights donations but further investigation by this website shows that Cruz in 2018 alone raked in over $311,150.00 from the NRA, other PACs and individual gun rights backers giving more than $200. So in reality the actual amount is much, much higher when tallied.

Jason Kessler Organizer Of Deadly Charlottesville Nazi Rally Chased From His Own Press Conference [VIDEO]

Jason Kessler, the conservative right-wing blogger  who organized a rally in Charlottesville that sparked violent clashes between white supremacist groups and counter-protesters tried to hold a news conference a day after the deadly event, but a crowd of several hundred booed him and forced him to run away from his own press conference.

Surrounded by cameras and people members of the crowd called for his “indictment for murder”,  chanted and made noises with drums and other instruments as he tried to speak.

Kessler mimicked looking at his watch and indicated he’d wait to speak.

A few people approached him, crossing in front of the line of TV cameras. One man pushed Kessler and then a woman tackled him.

Kessler asked state troopers at the scene for help and eventually they escorted him off. State police said troopers approached the area as the crowd got aggressive but made no arrests.

Kessler managed to say a few things to the gathered media as the state troopers shielded him, including accusing the protesters haranguing him of “anti-white hate.”

He blamed the same “anti-white hate,” and what he said was a failure of local law enforcement, for the violence of the previous day, which he said he condemned.

It’s such a shame that nobody brought any tar and feathers.

HomoCON Douchebag Milo Yiannopoulos Burns Rainbow Gay Pride Flag In Vote Trump Ad – Video

burning-rainbow-flag
Crazy quisling attention whore homo did what??

Pink News reports:

Trump-backing internet troll Milo Yiannopoulos has burned a rainbow flag in an ad calling for people to vote for Donald Trump. Yiannopoulos, a popular figure on the ‘alt-right’, has seen his profile rise thanks to attention-grabbing bigoted comments and his support of Donald Trump, whom he refers to as ‘daddy’.

The high-profile troll was banned from Twitter earlier this year after allegedly encouraging a wave of racist and sexist abuse directed at Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones. Despite frequently using his own homosexuality as a defence against accusations of racism and sexism, Yiannopoulos previously said he would ‘cure’ himself of being gay if he could. He is also actively transphobic, claiming trans people are “gay men dressing up for attention” and described the trans community as “mentally ill”.

In an ad released this week, Yiannopoulos attempts to provoke outrage yet again by burning a rainbow flag – while echoing Trump’s own claim that mass killings of gay people will be commonplace under Hillary Clinton.

You get the tar. I’ll get the feathers!

MOST EVIL – The 5 Most Insane Extremist Right Responses to the Sandy Hook Massacre

Below are the 5 most evil and insane comments made by  prominent conservatives, gun and religion nuts who have taken such glee in using such a dreadful event an opportunity to promote their paranoid vision of a perfect America proves the right-wing is insane and must be locked away.

5. Ann Coulter:  Everybody should carry a concealed firearm.  The killings took place in the morning, and by 11:07 a.m., Ann Coulter, the publicity seeking media whore big, bad mouth gives the little black dress a bad name, was touting concealed-carry laws as the answer to America’s massacre problem. Coulter’s first tweet on the subject came so soon after the killings, that there was no definitive count yet of the number of people who had perished: ”Only one policy has ever been shown to deter mass murder: concealed-carry laws. – bit.ly/VGDNBo

4. Mike Huckabee: Massacre the result of church-state separation.  Former Arkansas governor and pastor and father of a seriously deranged child who tortures animals Mike Huckabee thinks that if only the Constitution had been rewritten to allow for the mandatory worship of his God in public schools, the massacre would not have saying that if only killer Adam Lanza had gotten religion during his public school education, he wouldn’t have killed, or if Huckabee was suggesting that God was punishing a public school for not allowing organized worship in the classroom.

We ask why there is violence in our schools but we have systematically removed God from our schools,” Huckabee told host Neil Cavuto. “Should we be so surprised that schools would become a place of carnage?”

Media Matters has the clip

3.  Louie Gohmert: If only Sandy Hook principal had an assault rifle, everyone would have been saved. Speaking to host Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday, the Republican congressman from Texas with the shining bald head who had man on man solder barracks fantasies during the DADT repeal hearings let loose with this, as transcribed by the Huffington Post:

“Chris, I wish to God she had an M4 in her office, locked up so when she heard gunfire, she pulls it out … and takes him out and takes his head off before he can kill those precious kids,” Gohmert said.

The M4 is the rifle favored by the U.S. military; you can view its specs on the site of its manufacturer, Colt. Yeah, that’ll fix everything.

2. Larry Pratt: Making schools gun-free zones caused the problem. The executive director of Gun Owners of America, a far-right group tied to the militia movement, makes a leap of logic by claiming that because the massacre happened in a school designated as a “gun-free zone,” that the absence of guns in Sandy Hook Elementary School must have caused the problem.

Despite the fact that Pratt once addressed a group of white supremacists and advocated for the creation of militias in the U.S. based on the model of anti-communist Guatemalan death squads, the USA Today Web site gave Pratt a big megaphone to its millions of unique viewers (23 million in May 2011, according to the company’s media kit), the day after the Sandy Hook tragedy, in the opinion section of the site.

There, Pratt asserts:

Hopefully, the Connecticut tragedy will be the tipping point after which a rising chorus of Americans will demand elimination of the gun-free zone laws that are in fact criminal-safe zones.

One measure of insanity is repeating the same failure time after time, hoping that the next time the failure will turn out to be a success. Gun-free zones are a lethal insanity

And Number 1 on our insanity parade……..

1. AFA’s Bryan Fischer: Children Died in CT Shooting Spree Because School Did Not Embrace God.

American Family Association’s spokesloon Bryan J Fischer had the gall to say that God could have protected the victims of this massacre, but didn’t because “God is not going to go where he is not wanted” and so if school administrators really want to protect students, they will start every school day with prayer   CLICH HERE to watch the video.

What fucking monsters.
And there we have it people.  The case why its time to stop signing petitions and time to pick up pitchforks, torches and tar & feathers and not only run these evil bastards out-of-town on a rail but out of the country as well.

The GOP and Tea Party Turn Their Backs On Disabled Americans and Vets. Grab the Pitchforks!

Yesterday The Resolution of Advice and Consent to Ratification of the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, a United Nations resolution, was defeated in a 61-38 vote. thanks to the Tea Party and the GOP.

The resolution needed 66 votes to pass and the treaty had earned the support of more than 300 organizations, including 21 veterans and military service organizations.

Former Senator Bob Dole, 89 years old and in a wheelchair, went onto to the floor of the Senate to urged his former GOP colleagues to ratify it and one by one, according to Roll Call, the senators approached Mr. Dole to pat his shoulder or clasp his hand, making gestures of respect for the man who was for many years the Republican majority leader.

But in the end ONLY EIGHT  Republicans voted yes: Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, John Barrasso of Wyoming, Scott Brown of Massachusetts, Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe of Maine, Richard Lugar of Indiana, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and John McCain of Arizona.

John Kerry, the Massachusetts Democrat and chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said in a statement after the vote:

This is one of the saddest days I’ve seen in almost 28 years in the Senate, and it needs to be a wake-up call about a broken institution that’s letting down the American people.”

“Today the dysfunction hurt veterans and the disabled, and that’s unacceptable. This treaty was supported by every veterans group in America and Bob Dole made an inspiring and courageous personal journey back to the Senate to fight for it. It had bipartisan support, and it had the facts on its side, and yet for one ugly vote, none of that seemed to matter. We won’t give up on this and the Disabilities Treaty will pass because it’s the right thing to do, but today I understand better than ever before why Americans have such disdain for Congress and just how much must happen to fix the Senate so we can act on the real interests of our country.”

To have done this in front of Bob Dole and behind the backs of every other disabled veteran and disabled citizen in America has got to be the single most disgraceful and despicable act yet committed by this collection of  disgraceful Republican and Tea Party politicians.   And hopefully once and for all this will expose to all heir cancerous philosophical mania iwhich is infecting our Government and destroying America

The United States needs a good Congressional cleaning — Both House and Senate of these reprehensible right wing fringe  politicians.  And after yesterday, I’ll be the first to help gather the pitchforks, tar and feathers and help make it become a reality because they deserve nothing less.

It’s too bad that Mr. Dole isn’t as acerbic or as outspoken as he used to be because I am sure that he’ tell  the GOP and the Tea Party people what they could do with their gestures of “respect” that they gave him before they spit all over him and the American people.
