Southern Law Poverty Center Adds 7 New Anti LGBT Hate Groups Including Cincinnati’s Citizens for Community Values.

CCV Cicinnati listed hate group

A new study shows hate groups are a growing concern in the United States

The spring 2016 edition of Southern Poverty Law Center’s investigative journal says there are 892 active hate groups in the United States.

The Montgomery, Alabama civil rights group listed 48 organizations as anti-LGBT hate groups in 2015, up from 44 in 2014, as a few from previous years became inactive. The number of anti-LGBT hate groups has nearly doubled since 2011, when there were only 27.

The journal says there was a 14 percent national increase in hate groups between 2014 and 2015. There are 9 active hate groups in Iowa and 36 in Illinois.

Among the organizations the were added to the Southern Poverty Law Center’s list of active anti-LGBT hate groups this year includes Cincinnati’s own  Citizens for Community Values who claim to be “officially” affiliated with the most notorious national anti-gay hate groups the Family Research Council and the American Family Association and have been active in the anti-LGBT civil rights movement in Cincinnati since its founding in 1983.

Recently when the city of Cincinnati banned the dangerous practice of “gay conversion therapy” within its city limits.

ABSOLUTE SHAME!
CINCINNATI BANS LICENSED COUNSELORS FROM SPEAKING TO STRUGGLING FAMILIES

The City of Cincinnati will be Sued

CINCINNATI – Cincinnati City Council has once again overstepped its role as a City.  Licensing of counselors is the authority of the state, as are the instructions and limits on those counselors.  To date NOT ONE bit of evidence has been brought forward of forced counseling or counselor misbehavior.  City Council has over-reacted to urban myths, banning a recognized therapy and inappropriately intervened between families and doctors. The reality is that doctors and licensed counselors do not “convert” homosexuals to heterosexuality, instead they work with heterosexuals who are struggling with various feelings, including UNWANTED same-sex attraction.  Therapy against someone’s will does not work, and is not ethical.

Any statements made about electroshock or waterboarding therapy is absurd.

What the City has created is an environment that forces licensed counselors to promote homosexuality while banning heterosexuality.  This is especially dangerous when 70-80% of children struggling through this process as adolescents have grown out of the mixed feelings into heterosexuality as adults (Vanderbilt University and Portman Clinic studies).  Additionally, this effort was undertaken with the guise of lowering suicide rates, yet studies at the Karolinska University have shown a 20-fold increase in suicides for those with mixed-body feelings moving forward with gender re-assignment.

Finally, there are an estimated 10,000+ who have entered and LEFT a LGBT identity, exposing the nihilistic myths surrounding those with unwanted same-sex attraction.

There is no better example of two people that left homosexuality than Garry & Melissa Ingraham. Both were deeply engaged in homosexuality, but with the freedom to seek support and counsel to resolve and reduce their unwanted same-sex attraction, they have been happily married for 8 years and parents of two delightful boys

Incidentally one of the only two votes against the banning od reparative therapy on the Cincinnati City Council belonged to that of Charles Winburn, an ex-employee of the CCV who still has close ties to the organization.

Below are the seven new anti-LGBT hate groups that have been added to the SLPC listings:

The Campus Ministry USA of Terre Haute, Indiana

Citizens for Community Values in Cincinnati, Ohio

Conservative Republicans of Texas in Houston, Texas

D. James Kennedy Ministries in Fort Lauderdale, Florida

• Faith Baptist Church in Greenville, Georgia (formerly Sons of Thundr)

Faith2Action in North Royalton, Ohio

The Friendship Assembly of God in Colorado Springs, Colorado

The Southern Law Poverty Center Fights Back At Tony Perkins and Other Hate Groups Outrageous Claims

“Yesterday’s attack on the Family Research Council and the shooting of a security guard there was a tragedy. The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) deplores all violence, and our thoughts are with the wounded victim, Leo Johnson, his family and others who lived through the attack.

For more than 40 years, the SPLC has battled against political extremism and political violence. We have argued consistently that violence is no answer to problems in a democratic society, and we have strongly criticized all those who endorse such violence, whether on the political left or the political right.

But this afternoon, FRC President Tony Perkins attacked the SPLC, saying it had encouraged and enabled the attack by labeling the FRC a “hate group.” The attacker, Floyd Corkins, “was given a license to shoot an unarmed man by organizations like the Southern Poverty Law Center,” Perkins said. “I believe the Southern Poverty Law Center should be held accountable for their reckless use of terminology.”

Perkins’ accusation is outrageous. The SPLC has listed the FRC as a hate group since 2010 because it has knowingly spread false and denigrating propaganda about LGBT people — not, as some claim, because it opposes same-sex marriage. The FRC and its allies on the religious right are saying, in effect, that offering legitimate and fact-based criticism in a democratic society is tantamount to suggesting that the objects of criticism should be the targets of criminal violence.

As the SPLC made clear at the time and in hundreds of subsequent statements and press interviews, we criticize the FRC for claiming, in Perkins’ words, that pedophilia is “a homosexual problem” — an utter falsehood, as every relevant scientific authority has stated. An FRC official has said he wanted to “export homosexuals from the United States.” The same official advocated the criminalizing of homosexuality.

Perkins and his allies, seeing an opportunity to score points, are using the attack on their offices to pose a false equivalency between the SPLC’s criticisms of the FRC and the FRC’s criticisms of LGBT people. The FRC routinely pushes out demonizing claims that gay people are child molesters and worse — claims that are provably false. It should stop the demonization and affirm the dignity of all people”  – Mark Potok, Senior Fellow of the Southern Poverty Law Center

Liberty Counsel’s Matt Barber Compares The Southern Poverty Law Center To The “Occupy Movement”

Matt Barber, (the scary looking thing above) of the Liberty Counsel out of Jerry Fawell’s Liberty University is livid that the SPLC last week cited some dangerous anti-government militia organizations as hate groups last week in their new listings.  So in retaliation Barber compares the SLPC to the “Occupy Moviement”

Like that’s a bad thing.

“Only in the eyes of a liberal, extremist group can those who embrace patriotism be considered dangerous, radical hate groups. This is a group of leftists who are demonstratively hateful. Yet the Southern Poverty Law Center is like-minded with the Occupy movement, so of course they’re not going to attack their buddies. That would be friendly fire. It should come as no surprise that the Southern Poverty Law Center and its credibility are spiraling down the abyss of irrelevance.”

Fatty Matty needs to understand that those white supremacist and anti-government militia groups are about as patriotic to preserving American liberty as storm troopers were patriotic to the preservation of Nazi Germany

Linda Harvey, Randy Thomasson and Bradlee Dean Make The SLPC’s New List Of Anti-Gay Hate Groups

The Southern Poverty Law Center has just issued a new report  adding 11 groups to the organization’s list of designated anti-gay hate groups including such whack-job haters as Eugene Delgaudio (Public Advocate), Randy Thomasson (Save California), and Linda Harvey (Mission America) and Michele Bachmann’s Minnesota Boy Toy Bradlee Dean (You Can Run, But You Cannot Hide Ministries)

SPLC writes:

The SPLC report details the growth of hate groups to a record 1,018 in 2011, up from 1,002 the year before and the latest in a series of increases going back more than a decade. But the dramatic growth came in the Patriot movement, which is composed of armed militias and other conspiracy-minded organizations that see the federal government as their primary enemy. These groups saw their numbers skyrocket for the third straight year in 2011, this time by 55 percent – from 824 in 2010 to 1,274 groups last year. In 2008, just before the Patriot movement took off, there were 149 Patriot groups, a number that metastasized to 512 in 2009.

In all, Patriot groups have increased by 755 percent during the first three years of the Obama administration. Their number has now surpassed – by more than 400 groups – the previous all-time high set in 1996, when the first wave of the militia movement peaked shortly after the Oklahoma City bombing that left 168 people dead.

…The hate groups listed in this report include neo-Nazis, white nationalists, neo-Confederates, racist skinheads, Klansmen and black separatists. Other hate groups on the list target LGBT people, Muslims or immigrants, and some specialize in producing racist music or propaganda denying the Holocaust.

Others names hate groups include: United Families International, Sons of Thundr (Faith Baptist Church), Parents Action League, Jewish Political Action Committee, , Windsor Hills Baptist Church, True Light Pentecost Church, and Tom Brown Ministries.

What no National Organization For Marriage?

Well maybe next round.  Until then congratulations to all those names and enjoy your newly found places in the history books next to the Ku Klux Klan!

Porno Pete LaBarbera & His “D-List” Cast Of Anti-Gay Haters To Protest The Southern Law Poverty Center

In a few hours time “Porno Pete” LaBarbera and a Who’s Who D List of anti-gay haters will decend upon a the Southern Law Poverty Center in Montgomery, Alabama to “denounce” the center and their labelings as “hate groups”.

LaBarbera and his minions will be joined by a coalition of African American pastors (who really have some fucking nerve doing this directly after MLK Day) and pro-family Christian and Jewish leaders which will include:

Matt Barber, Director of Cultural Affairs, Liberty Counsel who likes to rant about “the ‘gay’ deathstyle.”

Dr. Patrick Wooden, pastor, Upper Room Church of God in Christ (COGIC), –  “We have to block the use of euphemisms when we talk about homosexuals. They are not gay. We’ve got to use terms like ‘deviant’ and ‘abomination.’

Laurie Higgins, Illinois Family Institute who states that “two gay men kissing is the same as incest or pedophilia”

Linda Harvey, Mission America, who insists that anti bullying programs will turn schools into “gay indoctrination camps”

Brian Camenker, Mass Resistance, who has  said that anti-bullying efforts are part of a “very aggressive, fascist type of movement” of “homosexual activists.”  And has even attacked  attacked the Boston Red Sox (yes, the Boston Red Soxs!) for endorsing the efforts of The Trevor Project and the It Gets Better Project

All thats missing is David Duke and Archie Bunker!

So expect much wailing and the gnashing of teeth today from “Porno Pete and his Un-Funky Bunch” as they cry victim and call the whaaambulace because they are religious martyrs.

The only real question that remains about the event today is will it be full hood or casual?

NOTE:  To read an EXCELLENT more in-depth and less snarky article about today’s SLPC Protest PLEASE head on over to Alvin McEwan’s Holly Bullies and Headless Monsters.   I highly recommend it.

Tim Pawlenty Minnesota Governor and Presidential Hopeful Panders To American Family Association Hate Group (Audio)

It seems that Minnesota Governor and potential presidential candidate Tim Pawlenty will leave no rock uncrawled under to reach his GOP Right Wing Extremist Christomaniac base.

Pawlenty recently appeared on the SLPC Hate Group recognized American Family Association’s radio program with Bryan Fischer pandering to it’s gay hating extremist.

For Pawlenty to appear on the AFA program with Fischer who in the past has said “we should impose the same sanctions on those who engage in homosexual behavior as we do on those who engage in intravenous drug abuse.” and  that “gay sex is a form of domestic terrorism.” and then Pawlenty talking about his anti-gay agenda should be looked at the same as a political candidate appearing at a KKK rally and talking about “white power”.

Pawlenty is nothing more than hateful homophobe and should be taken to task for his hateful homophobic rhetoric, words, pandering,  and associations
