Gay Bashing Marines Lance Corporal Christopher Stanzel and Corporal Keil Cronauer WILL NOT Face Hate Crime Charges In Georgia For The Gay Bashing Of Kieran Daly Because It Was "Only A Punch"

Last June Kieran Daly outside a pizza parlor in Savannah in June, when he was attcked by Lance Corporal Christopher Stanzel and Corporal Keil Cronauer.  (And no, I am not going to say “allegedly” becuse there were many witnesses.)  Cronauer and Stanzel grew angry because they thought Daly was winking at one of them and struck Daly in the back of the head knocking Daly unconscious after which he was hospitlized.

Today the Chatham County District Attorney’s office announced that Cronauer and Stanzel  will face only misdemeanor charges for punching Dal  because according to DA spokeswoman Alicia Johnson, “for a crime to be considered a felony (which a hate crime is considered) there has to be proof of a sustained injury. It’s my understanding Daly suffered only a punch. Based on his medical records we could not upgrade the charge from a misdemeanor to a felony.”

Daly was knocked unconscious and that “puinch” caused bruising to the brain which now gives Daly seizures.

In-fucking-credible! And a complete crock of shit! The entire reason for hate crime legislation is to punish those whos motivation is hate. It is designed exactaly for cases like this, to give prosocutors another avenue to indict on additional charges to provide a more severe penalty for those who prey on others simply using hatred as a motivation.

I guess at lease4 in Georgia GAY is the new BLACK

Two United States Marines Brutally Gay Bash Man In Savannah, Georgia

Two United States Marines beat a 26-year-old gay man so severely in streets of Savannah., GA early this morning that he was left unconscious lying in the street and is still hospitalized.

The two Marines, identified as Keil Joseph Cronauer, 22, and Christopher Charles Stanzel, 23. Police records show both men are stationed at Marine Corps Air Station in Beaufort, S.C. Cronauer and Stanzel told police they were being harassed by the victim, Kieran Daly, and wanted to get away from him. But witnesses painted a different picture,

Witnesses told police that Cronauer and Stanzel grew angry because they thought Daly was winking at one of them  and struck Daly in the back of the head with his fist, knocking him unconscious. Saturday night, from his bed at Memorial University Medical Center, Daly insisted he tried to convince the Marines he was not winking at them. ‘The guy thought I was winking at him,’ Daly said. ‘I told him, ‘I was squinting, man. … I’m tired.’

Daly said one of the men told him he demanded respect because he served in Iraq. And at least one hurled slurs at him as he tried to walk away. ‘That’s the last thing I remember is walking away,’ Daly said.”

Daly, who only came out six months ago, suffered serious injuries which included bruising to the brain. he also experienced two seizures after the attack. Cronauer and Stanzel were arrested and charged for the possible hate crime.  The attack is being investigated by the police the Savannah police department’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender official.

This is a  direct result of the massive institutionalized homophobia in the military and, if you were to look closer, of the insane persecution of gays encouraged by most “Christian” churches.  Check out the two bashers facebook pages below and send them a note and tell him what you think about them.  Notice Chris’ favorite book is ‘the Bible’.
