The NEW DC Comics Gay Character Is…… The Green Lantern

According to the “geek’s bible”, aka the website known as Bleeding Cool.  Rich Johnston, through a source at Phoenix Comic Con, the DC Comics character who is going to be revealed as being gay in an upcoming issue is none other than the original Green Lantern, Alan Scott.

Last month DC Comics announced that  it would be reintroducing a gay character in the “rebooted” DC Comics universe in an upcoming issue.

The Green Lantern created by Martin Nodell in 1940 was an original member of the Justice Society Of America.

If only they would have done this BEFORE the Ryan Reynolds movie version came out.  It would have made it a whole new movie.(And probably have donne better at the box office)

*  Daniel Craig is set to play lead in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo so it doesn’t look like a new Bond flick anytime soon.  (Hopefully Dragon Tattoo has a nude scene.)
