Joe Solmonese Elaborates Oh His "The past is the past." Remarks About Ken Mehlman – I Love The Smell Of Bulls@#t In The Morning!

Yesterday I reported on and showed a  video clip of The Human Rights Campaign’s President Joe Solmonese looking oh so bored  on Hardball: With Chris Matthews where he talked about the new (sham) Republican support for Gay Rights and Gay Marriage and also on Roy Cohen wanna be Ken Mehlman who threw open the closet doors after years destroying MILLIONS of LGBT lives during his tenure with the Republican Party.

“Little Joe” stated and I quote:  “The past is the past. We certainly don’t have the luxury at this point in our movement to turn away any offer of help.”  Needless to say the gay blogosphere went ballistic and rightfully so.

Turns out that someone at the HRC is actually reading the LGBT Blogs now, mosst probably to catch the flying shit and to see which way to spin it next!  And SPIN THEY DID!  (And lamely at that)

“Little Joe” sent a clarification of his remarks on Hardball over to Joe Jervis at Joe. My. God.  (And I must say that I am CRUSHED Joe Solmonese.  I mean I HATE YOU MORE don;t you know that by now?)

Anyway this is what the little Solmonsleaze sent.

“As the community has digested the news of Ken Mehlman’s coming out, I believe it’s important for us to move forward and use this opportunity to expand the circle of Americans supporting marriage equality. Last night on Hardball with Chris Matthews I gave a short answer regarding Ken’s coming out saying, ‘the past is the past.’ While I do believe we have to turn the page at some point, I should have given a more thorough response saying that we cannot forget the past and while many are finding it hard to forgive, our future is far more important.”

Is that the smell of “Bullshit Number 5” I smell wafting off of Joe Solmonese’s $700 designer suit?

Solmonese HRC and other Gay Inc. Orgs that are accepting Mehlman are using the “Monty Python and the Holy Grail” Swamp King excuse.  “Please! This is supposed to be a happy occasion. Let’s not bicker and argue over who killed who.”

Well too bad bitches  And I will keep arguing and bitching until Mehlman is forced back into castle by crowds of homo’s and dykes carrying torchs and pitchforks.  And for those of you Uber Politically Correct homo’s out there who are getting behind Mehlman, remember that you are doing so from under the bus where he threw you.   If Mehlman wants to prove to me that he is sincere, he can crawl across broken glass to every LGBT person who has been victimized and harmed by his past actions and formerly make amends.

Ken Mehlman’s Anti-Gay Past – A Partial History

2004 Mehlman Mailer

In 2004 then RNC President Ken Mehlman directly told Ohio’s anti-gay bigoted Republicans and Ohio’s anti-gay hate group the Citizens for Community Values (Which is the Midwest affiliate group of both Focus on the Family and The Family Research Council) to get a marriage ban on the ballot.

Mehlman was interviewed after he spoke to the Summit County Republican Party’s annual Lincoln Day dinner March 19 at Quaker Station. “I’m here to say thank you,” Mehlman told the gathering, “because Summit County increased its votes for George W. Bush from 2000 to 2004 more than any other county.” Mehlman managed the Bush-Cheney 2004 campaign and, according to the campaign’s Ohio co-chair, Secretary of State Ken Blackwell, directed Ohio anti-gay activists to mount the campaign to put the Issue 1 marriage ban amendment on the ballot. Internet bloggers have pointed out that if Mehlman, 38, unmarried and never with female companionship, is gay, he is a hypocrite

2005 – Ken Mehlman Fully Supports The Marriage Protection Amendment

GOP Sen. Wayne Allard (CO) introduced the Marriage Protection Amendment (a verbatim restating of the earlier failed Federal Management Amendment) with 21 Senate GOP co-sponsors. Later that year the bill was approved for review by the full Senate Judiciary Committee. Newly appointed RNC chair Ken Mehlman gave the bill his full support to reporters at an Ohio GOP fundraiser that March.

During his Akron remarks, Mehlman put forth political and policy statements often viewed as anti-gay. “Republicans are for government that stands on the side of marriage,” he said, “and on the side of strong families.” After the dinner, he was asked by a reporter about the GOP’s support for the so-called Marriage Protection Amendment, introduced in the House last week by Rep. Dan Lundgren of California. Mehlman made it clear that he supports the amendment. “I don’t think it’s anti-gay,” said Mehlman. “I don’t think the intent is to be anti-anything.”

2006 – Mehkman Approves Race Bate Ad Against Harold Ford

2006 – Mehlman Campaigns for Mehlman Campaigns For Anti-Gay 2006 GOP Rep. Mark Kennedy (Introduced by CRAZY BITCH Michelle Bachman no less)
2006 – Bill Maher OUTS Ken Mehlmn on CNN’s Larry King Live – CNN edits the tape before it’s West Coast viewing and Mehlman resigns the next day saying that his resignation was planned for months.
MEHLMAN ANTI-GAY MARRIAGE OVERVIEW
During the time Ken Mehlman was George W Bush’s campaign manager and afterwards during his time as chairman of the Republican National Committee, 21 states passed laws that banned same-sex marriage. Some of these laws made same-sex marriage unconstitutional, some made both civil unions and same-sex marriages unconstitutional. All of these anti-gay referendum took place from 2004-2006 and all of them were pushed by the GOP under Ken Mehlman

There can never be any total penance for Mehlman after what has done and in my opinion he deserves NOTHING from our community but rancor and contempt. Mehlman pushed through his policies helped make LGBT people second class citizens in over 21 states and then pushed for a federal amendment as well.
There is nothing that Ken Mehlman can ever say or  do or say that will totally reverse his actions and change the immeasurable harm he has done to millions of gay and lesbians lives.
And we need to remember what he has done to us. And it needs to be duly noted in history.

Tea Party Takes Over Maine GOP. Now We Get To See What Olympia Snowe Is REALLY Made Of

Well those wild, bigoted and craaaaaaaazy Tea Bagger’s have successfully replaced Maine’s GOP party platform with their own.

An overwhelming majority of delegates to the Maine Republican convention tonight voted to scrap the the proposed party platform and replace it with a document created by a group of Tea Party activists. The official platform for the Republican Party of Maine is now a mix of right-wing fringe policies, libertarian buzzwords and outright conspiracy theories. The document calls for the elimination of the Department of Education and the Federal Reserve, demands an investigation of “collusion between government and industry in the global warming myth,” suggests the adoption of “Austrian Economics,” declares that “‘Freedom of Religion’ does not mean ‘freedom from religion'” (which I guess makes atheism illegal), insists that “healthcare is not a right,” calls for the abrogation of the “UN Treaty on Rights of the Child” and the “Law Of The Sea Treaty” and declares that we must resist “efforts to create a one world government.” It also contains favorable mentions of both the Tea Party and Ron Paul. You can read the whole thing here. Dan Billings, who has served as attorney for the Maine GOP, called the new platform “wack job pablum” and “nutcase stuff.”

Susan Collins and Olympia Snowe must be seriously wondering how long they can remain in the GOP.

Oh Dr. Frankenstein your monster is calling!
