Stephen Colbert paid a visit to Pride House, the Olympics venue for LGBT athletes, friends, and allies. (Which we hear is hardly being used due to the lack of openly gay athletes, but you must admit it IS a nice gesture.) The visit was part of a tour of several “houses” at the Olympics.
According to Huffingtonpost: “In the interview, Colbert asked whether LGBT was ‘a kind of sandwich,’ talked about kissing male hockey players, and explored double entendres. They also discussed new uses for Olympic pride pins. When Breakspear told him the pride pin she gave him would make him queer for a day, Colbert asked if he was ‘queen for a day.'”
In the video before rigght before the interview starts, Colbert explains to Pride House director Jennifer Breakspear that he does the show in character, and that character is an idiot who is willfully ignorant of what you care most about,
Glen (Vicks Under The Eyes) Beck and Bill (Loofa) O’Reilly should say the same thing. Well at least the “idiot” part.
