Said the douchebag propagandist media whore fascist.
Tonight while the the Human Rights Campaign is holding its $650 a plate NYC Gala at the Waldorf Astoria honoring Anna Winitour (why?) and Goldman Sachs, the investment bank who deceived investors and Congress about its bets against the subprime mortgage market and helped plunge this nation into its current financial crisis, QUEER RISING and other LGBT Activist and Advocates sick of HRC’s pretentious bullshit and lackluster rush to LGBT equality will be protesting outside.
Tonight on the sidewalk outside of the prestigious hotel at 50th Street & Park Avenue from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Queer/LGBTIQA2Z Occupy Wall Street a caucus of the NYC based Occupy Wall Street movement,, Queer Rising, and other angry LGBT advocates and activists will be protesting and holding a a “Guerrilla Potluck”.
The protest is to condemn HRC’s decision to honor Goldman Sachs in a time of financial collapse caused by their unethical business practices and greed. “HRC honoring Goldman Sachs at this time reveals all one needs to know about the corporate LGBT lobby, and its disconnect from the LGBT people it purports to represent.” The protest is also aimed at trying to get HRC to pledge that they will work toward full LGBT equality by 2014, the 50th anniversary of the 1964 Civil Rights Act. And that HRC demonstrate more internal transparency and work more with grassroots organizations.
The right to be protected from discrimination secures a core liberty interest. And it is the duty of government to protect LGBT Americans from the harm caused by discrimination as a matter of public welfare, law and conscience, as it has for decades for all other oppressed groups.
As HRC restrains the demand for equality, discrimination takes its insidious toll on LGBT Americans
The Queer Caucus demands equal non-discrimination protections under the 1964 Civil Rights Act because equality is the only true antidote to LGBT abuse – like it has proven to be for race, sex, national origin, religion, age and disability – long protected from discrimination by law.
“Equality and non-discrimination are universal values that define basic human dignity” said Todd (Tif) Fernandez, a human rights lawyer and grassroots activist. “It is our civic duty as Americans to protect and respect the LGBT community immediately.”

Please Take the Pledge for Full LGBT Equality (by 2014) (http://bit.ly/the2014pledge).
The rally began in Plummer Park, moved to Matthew Shepard Triangle and back to demonstrate LGBT solidarity with and for the Occupy movement besides the thousands in the LGBT community who are already participating in “Occupy” movements across the country.
John Walblinger of Occupy LA’s Queer Affinity Group pointed out: “The economic and social equality issues the Occupy movement is pushing for are our issues too.”
Others were quick to point out: In many states LGBT people can still be fired from their jobs, and despite propaganda of the wealth of the gay community many LGBT citizens live at or below poverty level. And that even at over 42 years after the Stonewall riots, LGBT Americans still don’t have the same civil rights as heterosexual Americans do.
Rev. Dr. Neil Thomas of the LA Metropolitan Community Church (MCC), which helped put together Occupy West Hollywood, explained that the values that the Occupy movement embodies are fundamental ones: The values are that no one should be left behind, we’ve basically sold out to corporate America and the reality is that that is coming back to bite us right now. We’re seeing that in the way the working class, the middle class are hurting right now. It’s time for us to really start examining the way we do social systems and social structures and to bring back the values of faith and its history.”
This was the first Occupy event in West Hollywood, participants say it won’t be the last. A Lavender Coalition rally is planned in Plummer Park for Dec. 17 at 10 a.m.
The HRC did not represent nor participate in the March.
Pike and his fellow officers claim they were in fear of thier lives.
They look threatened by the unarmed kids sitting on the ground, don’t they?
This afternoon a well known gay veteran activist was videotaping the newly added security at Zuccotti Park in New York City after the Occupy Wall Street encampment was brutally destroyed by the NYPD earlier this morning. When trying to get any information from the stone faced Brookfield Properties guards one of them looked into the camera and called gay six year army veteran and LGBT activist Joey Boot’s a “faggot.”
“Your flys open faggot” the guard said in reply to one of Joey’s questions with a straight face and a mocking tone. And when Joey called this rent-a-cop who has probably never seen one day in the military out he shut up and with just the smalled hint of a smirk turned and walked away.

A second Iraq war veteran has suffered serious injuries after clashes between police and Occupy movement protesters in Oakland.
Kayvan Sabehgi, who served in Iraq and Afghanistan, is in intensive care with a lacerated spleen. He says he was beaten by police close to the Occupy Oakland camp, but despite suffering agonising pain, did not reach hospital until 18 hours later.
Sabehgi, 32, is the second Iraq war veteran to be hospitalised following involvement in Oakland protests. Another protester, Scott Olsen, suffered a fractured skull on 25 October.
On Wednesday night, police used teargas and non-lethal projectiles to drive back protesters following an attempt by the Occupy supporters to shut down the city of Oakland.
Sabehgi told the Guardian from hospital he was walking alone along 14th Street in central Oakland – away from the main area of clashes – when he was injured.
“There was a group of police in front of me,” he told the Guardian from his hospital bed. “They told me to move, but I was like: ‘Move to where?’ There was nowhere to move.
“Then they lined up in front of me. I was talking to one of them, saying ‘Why are you doing this?’ when one moved forward and hit me in my arm and legs and back with his baton. Then three or four cops tackled me and arrested me.”
Crooks and Liars writes:
“Heighten the contradictions” is what activists used to say back in the Sixties. And tonight, while President Obama was in San Francisco hosting a $7,500-a-plate fundraiser, people are getting teargassed in Oakland, just a few miles away – for alleged health and safety violations. You can’t get much more of a contradiction than that. It’s being reported that Occupy Atlanta, Occupy Baltimore, Occupy Clarksville, Occupy San Diego have all been served by police with eviction notices for midnight tonight.
The “Anonymous” video points to the network’s “continued propaganda against the occupations” as reason for vowing to “destroy the Fox News website.”
“Since they will not stop ridiculing the occupiers, we will simply shut them down,” the digitized voice explains, adding that an Anonymous-driven “propaganda campaign” against Fox News would follow.
“Fox News, your time has come,” it concludes. “Operation Fox Hunt. November 5th. May the hunt begin.”
Three cheers for Anonymous!
