Walmart Will No Longer Allow Open Carry In Stores, Will Stop Selling Ammunition

Walmart Will No Longer Allow Open Carry In Stores, Will Stop Selling Ammunition

In response to the shooting in its El Paso store last month that killed 22 people, Walmart said Tuesday that it would stop selling certain types of ammunition that are commonly used by hunters but can also be used in military assault rifles.

The nation’s largest retailer made the announcement after weeks of discussion about how best to respond to the violence on Aug. 3. The company said that after “selling through our current inventory commitments” it would discontinue the sale of certain short-barrel rifle ammunition and all handgun ammunition.

Walmart had stopped selling the type of assault-style rifle that was used in the El Paso shooting several years ago, but the company’s chief executive, Doug McMillon, said the retailer recognized the need to do more “to make the country safer.”

Walmart will also stop selling handguns in Alaska, the only state where it still sells handguns. And Walmart will request that customers no longer openly carry guns into its 4,700 US stores, or its Sam’s Club stores, in states that allow open carry.

And of course those crazy right-wing gun nuts, NRA loving, God fearing Merican gun nuts are threatening a Walmart boycott.

NRA Shamelessly Begs Money Using U.S. Soldiers In Combat As Pawns – VIDEO

The National Rifle Association had negative – US $31.8 million on hand at the end of 2017, according to the form all nonprofits must file with the IRS. The group, which spent an average of $278.3 million a year, has had a negative balance at the end of six of the previous 10 years.

Now that the organizations financial dire straits have been made public. The NRA is sinking to even lower depths to try to bring in some money.

The National Rifle Association is encouraging people to buy its membership by playing on the fact that service members will be away from their families during the holidays.

In the two-minute spot released on December 12, NRA President Oliver North points out, “As we gather with loved ones this holiday season, tens of thousands of American soldiers, sailors, airmen, guardsmen, and Marines won’t be home this year.”

North then encourages supporters to buy NRA memberships because, as he claims, “the very freedoms” service members are “protecting are under siege from powerful, wealthy oligarchs who are financing a disarm-America movement.”

“I know what it’s like to be away from home for the holidays. I learned as a US Marine the only way to rout a determined adversary is to stand and fight. And I know the only organization with the strength and resolve to defeat the Disarm America Movement is the #NRA.” #Christmas pic.twitter.com/LYmWhTUr5G

FedEx FINALLY Ends Offering NRA Members Discounts On Shipping

It only took a few more mass shootings and pipe bomb threats against America’s leading Democrats but FEDEX  is FINALLY ending an affiliate program that offered discounts for business members of the National Rifle Association.

Via NASDAQ:

FedEx stood by the gun-rights lobby group as other companies scrapped deals. They were reacting to the NRA’s stance after 17 students and staff members were murdered at a Florida high school by a former student. Companies including Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and car-rental firm Enterprise swiftly ended member discounts. At the time, FedEx said that while assault rifles of the kind used in most American mass shootings shouldn’t be in civilian hands, it did not believe in “discriminating” between organizations it works with.

The change of tack comes just days after a gunman killed 11 people in a Pittsburgh synagogue. The $56 billion logistics company says the closure of its NRA discount program from Nov. 4 has no connection to that incident or any other shooting. Rather, the NRA just didn’t bring in enough business to merit its own deal. It’s among dozens of organizations FedEx plans to move to new pricing programs, and the company has been notifying customers since early October.

It’s about time.

NRA Spokeswitch Dana Loesch Calls Parkland Students Extortionist Over PUBLIX Protest

NRA Spokeswitch Dana Loesch Calls Parkland Students Extortionist Over PUBLIX Protest

“So people are mad because Publix gave money to a candidate that apparently supports the Second Amendment and so they decided to lay down in the middle of Publix. And then also — the student organizer also demanded that Publix give the March for Our Lives group the same amount of money, or double the amount of money, that they donated to this political candidate. Again, anybody else would call that extortion. It’s extortion, let’s be real. I mean, we’re adults, and we need to use proper terminology.

“Publix said, ‘We regret that our contributions have led to a divide in our community.’ OK no, Publix, your donations did not do that. Protesters who cannot abide differing opinions and cannot accept that debate is a natural part of compromise are the ones that led to this divide. Stop throwing up the white flag simply because there exist people on earth who cannot tolerate differing opinions.

“And that’s what this is. It’s intolerance of different opinions. It’s intolerance of how other people choose to live their lives and choose to believe in certain things.” – NRA spokeswitch Dana Loesch, speaking today on NRA TV.

LGBT Die-In Protest Scheduled at The National Mall

LGBT Die-In Protest Scheduled at The National Mall on the Anniversary of the Pulse Massacre – 6/12/2018

LGBT activists plan to hold a mass die-in to remember those who died in the Pulse nightclub shooting with a mass die-in on the National Mall in Washington, DC on June 12th., the second anniversary of the deadly incident. Organizers will focus on demanding stronger gun control laws and screening for gun ownership.

The event set for 11:00 am will last 12 minutes — 700 seconds to represent the 700 victims who’ve died in mass shootings since the Pulse massacre and will be preceded by a 10:30 a.m. rally for gun reform. Additionally, the event has already inspired die-ins at state capitals and NRA offices around the country.

The idea for the die-in came about just a week and a half ago, when Amanda Fugleberg, a lifelong Orlando resident, and co-founder Frank Kravchuk quickly pulled together proper permitting. Fugleberg also reached out to Parkland survivor-turned-activist David Hogg, who just led a successful die-in protest against a Florida grocery chain for supporting a National Rifle Association-backed candidate. She says Hogg expressed strong support for the idea and helped publicize the event.

Twitter account for the event  has quickly amassed hundreds of followers.

Facebook page has been set up for the National Die-In, as well as an events page to mark participants’ attendance.

Please spread the word and attend or plan your own event.

Kellyanne Conjob: Detention Center Conditions Are Great!

Kellyanne Conway Attacks “Pathetic” Democrats For Criticizing the NRA After Texas Mass Shooting

“There is certain reflexive and thoughtless and pretty predictable and pathetic reaction coming from lots of folks. And frankly, it usually comes from folks who, unlike Donald J. Trump, have been in office for decades and decades and decades. It also is insensitive that they will gloss right over, right past the fact that people are suffering, their lives have changed in blink of a second and they never get all the facts.

“They just know the facts right away. They know because it fits the political narrative. They can’t help themselves. When you are a hammer the whole world looks like a nail and for them everything looks like a political opportunity.” – Kellyanne Conway, speaking on Fox New’s resident douchebag Todd Starnes’ radio show.

Trump to Address NRA’s Annual Convention, Guns Banned From Convention During Speech

Donald Trump will speak at the National Rifle Association’s annual convention on today in Dallas, Houston, a little more than two months after he lying to stand up to the gun rights organization in the aftermath of the Parkland, Fla., school shooting.

Trump called out lawmakers for being “afraid” of the NRA, saying the group had “less power” over him and even backed raising the minimum age to buy rifles and imposing more expansive background checks — both positions which are strongly opposed by the NRA.

But when the White House actually announced its proposals to improve school safety, the approach was pretty much in line with NRA policy stances.

White House press secretary Sarah “Somkey Eye” Sanders said at a briefing on Tuesday that safety is a priority for the Trump administration.

“But we also support the Second Amendment, and strongly support it, and don’t see there to be a problem with speaking at the National Rifle Association’s meeting,” Sanders said.

Last year, Trump’s visit to the NRA  after the group helped put him in the White House said: “You came through for me and I am going to come through for you,” Trump told thousands of gun rights activists at last year’s convention.
The NRA is facing scrutiny over its finances following allegations that a lifetime member and Russian government official, Alexander Torshin, had funneled money through the NRA to bolster the Trump campaign in 2016.

The NRA said the U.S. Secret Service will coordinate security at this years convention and that weapons” will not in the arena while Trump is present.

“As a result, firearms and firearm accessories, knives or weapons of any kind will be prohibited in the forum prior to and during his attendance,” the NRA said. A detailed list of prohibited items includes ammunition, drones, gun parts, and firearm magazines.

Motor City Moron Ted Nugent Calls For Violence Against Democrats at Trump Rally

Ted Nugent Doubles Down On Disgusting Parkland Kids Comments, Says He’s A Victim of Liberal Hate Speech

Last week we reported on Ted Nugent, that pedophile, pants shitting draft dodger and has-been rock star who now fronts for the NRA and is legally insane in 15 states and how he called the Parkland High Scool anti-gun activists as “poor mushy brained children who have been fed lies” and that they’re “committing spiritual suicide” and “soulless”

Well today the Motor City Moron doubled down on his comments and claimed to be a victim of liberal “hate speech”

Via Media Matters:

I was told, coming out of a firestorm, a firestorm of guitar solo magic, that I was trending on Facebook because somehow, some dishonest, lying idiots claimed that my identifying, accurately and honestly, those in the gun control marches who call people who don’t agree with them child murderers. Now if I called you a child murderer without having any evidence, that would be hate speech. So they are guilty of hate speech.

I merely identified that you have to have mush for brains to accept, blindly accept, the propaganda from the gun-hating, freedom-hating, America-hating, liberal Democrat left media. And who out there believes that so much of the media – who believes CNN, anybody? MSNBC, anybody? ABC, CBS, NBC? Certainly Media Matters, really? Boy, what a hypocritical title that is. Media Matters, MoveOn.Org, Southern Poverty Law Center, the Huffington punks, who believes these people?

So they claimed that it’s hate speech to identify the hate of people that call us child murderers, because we don’t believe in banning guns, which won’t save any lives. So they’re so blinded by their hate, and their mushy brains have so robotically accepted the propaganda ministry’s lies and deceit, that they’re hate isn’t hate. My identifying their hate, is hate. What the hell? So I stand by my words.

F@#king Snowflake.

Motor City Moron Ted Nugent: ‘Evidence Is Irrefutable’ the Parkland Student Activists ‘Have No Soul’

Via Mediate::

Appearing on Newsmax’s The Joe Pags Show, the guitarist/conservative commentator Ted Nugent let host Joe Pagliarulo what he thought about the Parkland shooting survivors who have become outspoken gun reform activists. And, umm, yeah.

Describing them as “poor mushy brained children who have been fed lies” and that they’re “committing spiritual suicide” by recommending gun control, Nugent went so far as to label David Hogg and others as lacking a soul.

After Pagliarulo played some clips of Hogg and Emma Gonzalezspeaking out against the NRA on CNN, Nugent railed against the media, liberals and the kids.

“The dumbing down of America is manifested in the culture deprivation of our academia that have taught these kids the lies, media that have prodded and encouraged and provided these kids lies,” the ‘Wang Dang Sweet Poontang’ singer exclaimed. “I really feel sorry for them because it’s not only ignorant and dangerously stupid, but it’s soulless.”

He continued, “To attack the good law-abiding families of America when well known predictable murderers commit these horrors is deep in the category of soulless. These poor children, I’m afraid to say this and it hurts me to say this, but the evidence is irrefutable, they have no soul.”

#MarchForYourLives: Millions of Americans March For Stricter Gun Control Laws Across America

#MarchForYourLives: Millions of Americans March For Stricter Gun Control Laws Across America

With an estimated crowd of 800,000 to1 Million people alone at the March for Your Lives protest in Washington, DC, millions of Americans took to the streets yesterday from Key West, Florida to Seattle, Washington to show support for stricter gun control laws and the removal of NRA lobbyist influence in our nations capital.

The students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School have spearheaded what could become one of the largest protests in history,

In the wake of a Valentine’s Day shooting that killed 17, of their fellow classmates the teens pulled all-nighters, scheduled speakers, petitioned city councils, rented stages and walked march routes with police to show Washington politics, especially Republicans that America has had enough.

The event in Washington drew a mix people across the age and race spectrum and also entertainers, including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Platt, Miley Cyrus, Ariana Grande, and Common. George Clooney, Jeffrey Katzenberg and Steven Spielberg attended, along with other celebrities like Cher. A number of industry figures donated to the event, including Clooney, Katzenberg, Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey.

One of the most powerful moments happened when Emma Gonzalez, a student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School who has been one of the leaders of the activist effort that has followed the mass shooting, paused during her speech until six minutes, 20 seconds had elapsed since she started it. That was the length of time it took the shooter to kill 17 victims at the high school. As she said nothing, the crowd stayed silent, save for a brief chant of, “Never again.”

No politicians spoke at the event, and the musicians who appeared largely kept their statements to messages contained within their music.

Instead, the roster of speakers were almost entirely students from the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School high school and other teenagers who have been impacted by gun violence. They included youth from inner-city schools and neighborhoods where shootings are rampant but get little national media attention.

“I have a dream that enough is enough. And that this should be a gun-free world, period,” said Yolanda Renee King, the granddaughter of Martin Luther King Jr., who was killed by an assassin 50 years ago on April 4.

“If you listen real close, you can hear the people in power shaking,” said David Hogg, another Parkland student who helped organize the march.

He added, “We’re going to make this the voting issue. We’re going to take this to every election, to every state, and every city.”

A video during the event showed NRA officials, like Wayne LaPierre and Dana Loesch, as well as Charlton Heston, then the president of the organizations, saying, “From my cold dead hands.” In the crowd the images drew boos and screams from the crowd.

Thw D.C. march ended with Jennifer Hudson singing “The Times They Are a Changin,” Bob Dylan’s standard that was an anthem of the protest era of the 1960’s.
