New Hampshire’s state motto may be “Live Free or Die” but that wasn’t always the case.

March 16, 1680:

Legislators of New Hampshire pass the colony’s first capital laws against homosexuality copied almost word for word from the Plymouth laws of 1671:

If any man lie with mankind as he lies with a woman; both of them have committed abomination; They both shall surely be put to death: unless one party were forced, or were under fourteen years of age. And all other Sodomitical filthiness shall be severely punished according to the nature of it.”

In the early Puritan colonies, the mere concept of homosexuality struck horror into the hearts of good, God-fearing men. Many thought that homosexuality was an impurity that could spread and eventually call down the fire and brimstone that was showered on Sodom and Gomorrah.

Although the laws demanded capital punishment as the penalty for adult homosexuality, many magistrates opted to hand down lighter sentences in most cases. In fact, there was only one recorded execution of a criminal of this sort. William Plaine was executed in New Haven in 1646 for the “uncleane practices” of teaching other men and boys the joys of masturbation. He was also charged with Witchcraft.

The state of New Hampshire has never apologized for the misery and deaths that occurred during this time.

Joe Bidens’ campaign released a attack ad about Pete Buttigieg and his accomplishments as mayor of South Bend, Indiana, as compared to Biden’s former Vice President record on national policy.

Both Vice President Biden and former Mayor Pete Buttigieg have taken on tough fights,” the ad voiceover says. “Under threat of a nuclear Iran, Joe Biden helped to negotiate the Iran deal. And under threat of disappearing pets, Buttigieg negotiated lighter licensing regulations on pet chip scanners.

The ad continues: “We’re electing a President. What you’ve done matters.” When President Obama called on him, Joe Biden helped lead the passage of the Affordable Care Act. And when park goers called on Pete Buttigieg, he installed decorative lights under bridges, giving citizens of South Bend colorfully illuminated rivers.”

Pete Buttigiegs’ campaign responded:

At this moment, the American people are crying out for something completely different from this classic Washington-style of politics.

While Washington politics trivializes what goes on in communities like South Bend, South Bend residents who now have better jobs, rising income, and new life in their city don’t think their lives are a Washington politician’s punchline.

Pete’s on-the-ground experience as mayor, turning around a Midwestern industrial city, is exactly why he is running for president.

The vice president’s decision to run this ad speaks more to where he currently stands in this race than it does about Pete’s perspective as a mayor and veteran.

Joe Biden seems to forget that he once said: “I’ve never had an interest in being mayor. That’s a real job. You have to produce. That is why I have been a senator for 36 years.” March 29, 2012

While stumping for wife Hillary in New Hampshire. Bill Clinton shed the calm and refined demeanor of an a former United States President last night and tore into Bernie Sanders over “double standards”.

Clinton’s milquetoast stump speech touting his wife’s biography and her power as a “changemaker” has transformed into a brutal litany of attacks on Bernie Sanders and the devious campaign the Clintons apparently believe he is running.

“When you’re making a revolution, you can’t be too careful with the facts,” he told the crowd of just under 300 who came to hear him speak Sunday afternoon while Hillary Clinton paid a visit to Flint, Michigan, to visit a church. “I want you to laugh, because when you’re mad you can’t think.”

Without mentioning Sanders by name, Clinton recited a laundry list of double standards and lack of details in policy proposals he has identified in Sanders’ campaign — and labeled “her opponent the champion of all things small and the enemy of all things big.”

Speaking of double standards Bill. How did that DOMA and DADT signing treat you?

 

Gays Are Possessed By “Fart Demons” Says New Hampshire Ministry Founder. (Well That Stinks)

Bert Fart-ias Farias (pictured), founder of Holy Fire Ministries of Windham, NH believes that all gay people are possessed by demons.  Not the Linda Blair in the Exorcist Pazuzu kind of demon.  But “fart demons.”

Yes you read that right, fart demons.

Farias  claims that in choosing to be gay, a person chooses to engage in “unclean demonic practices.” Once that happens, they become possessed by “putrid-smelling” demons so stinky they can drive pigs to suicide!.

“Homosexuality is actually a demon spirit. It is such a putrid smelling demon that other demons don’t even like to hang around it.”

There is an account in the Bible where Jesus casts out 2,000 demons out of a man. The demons came out screaming and begged Jesus to send them into the pigs. The pigs didn’t want them, so they ran down a steep hill and were drowned in the sea.

Pigs have more sense than some humans. People embrace homosexual demons, but the pigs would rather die than be possessed with demon.  A genuine prophet of God told me that the Lord allowed him to smell this demon spirit, and he got sick to his stomach.

Allow me to school you in Basic Sex 101. If being gay was natural, two men or two women could produce a baby, but they can’t. Their sexual reproductive organs do not complement each other therefore making it impossible for them to procreate. It can never be natural for two men or two women to get married and live together. Our culture’s acceptance and celebration of gay behavior will never make it right. Wrong is wrong no matter how many people are for it. And right is right no matter how many people are against it. Homosexuality is not new. It’s been around for thousands of years. It’s as old as the devil himself. “

Farias begs gay people to “not get upset with me” about his smelly new theory. “[You] will see that I am actually trying to help you,” he assured them

Farias also warned that the growing acceptance of homosexuality in the United States is a sign from the man upstairs that our society is in “the last stages of decay” and that there will be severe “destructive physical, emotional, and spiritual consequences.”

And here I thought “the last stages of decay” in our society was another movie remake of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.  Silly me.

Attempt To Repeal Same Sex Marriage In New Hampshire MASSIVE FAIL – Suck It NOM!

After months of stomping thier feet, crying, and even trying to make believe that they believed in civil union to  push the repeal of same sex marriage in New Hampshire.  The National Organization for Marriage was dealt  a MASSIVE BLOW today when the  New Hampshire Republican-controlled House today rejecting a bill aimed at repealing the state’s existing marriage equality law with a  211 to 116 vote.

Also the New Hampshire House voted down the Bates Amendment, which would have forced a non-binding referendum on marriage onto the November ballot and replaced marriage with civil unions.

Stripping away the freedom to marry in New Hampshire was a top priority of the National Organization for Marriage and other national anti-gay groups, which had predicted that they would be able to garner the vote of two-thirds of both the House of Representatives and the Senate to override the promised veto by Governor John Lynch.

Today is a banner day for the freedom to marry. Our opponents have been crowing about getting their two-thirds, but in the end, it’s clear they couldn’t muster the votes. This is a victory for our supporters — the majority of Granite Staters who oppose any roll back of marriage equality — because they reached out time and again and told lawmakers to leave this law alone. This was our opponents’ best shot and they blew it. This was supposed to be the most favorable legislative climate for repeal and they couldn’t even get a majority. Still, we cannot simply pack our bags and go home. Our opponents still want to end marriage equality in New Hampshire and we must keep a watchful eye on the Legislature, and make sure voices of equality are heard in November. But this is a good day for all New Hampshire families who can celebrate tonight and know their marriages are no longer under attack in Concord.”

MSNBC’s Thom Roberts Tells NOM’s Brian Brown To Go See The Weinstein Movie “Bully”

Openly gay news anchor Thomas Roberts had Brian Brown of the National Organization for Marriage on to MSNBC today to talk about NOM’s plan to “backtrack” same sex marriage in New Hampshire and push now for civil unions instead since they know they have no chance in hell of of over-turning same sex marriage in state and denying some form of recognition to same sex couples.

Roberts and Brown went back and forth on NOM’s standard unproven talking points, when Roberts asked “Piggy Man” Brown if  its sometimes just exhausting for you and what the National Organization for Marriage does, to try to stand against the tide of equality? Is it exhausting?”

Piggy Man replied with his standard swill. 

Blah, blah, blah…..30 states have bans on same-sex marriage.  Blah, blah, blah…..seven states that allow it, there are dissembling referenda at work.  Blah, blah, blah….. redefining marriage changes things for straight people.  Blah, blah, blah…..makes school classes teach different ways of life.

And at that point, right at the cut away Thom Roberts suggests that Brian Brown go watch Harvey Weinstein’s new movie, Bully.

Simply awesome.

GOP NH Legislature Rep Frank Sapareto Backs “Christian” Exemption To Hate The Gays

Just to prove that all GOP politicians are douche-bags Rep. Frank Sapareto of New Hampshire is backing a measure in that state that would allow “Christian” businesses to refuse service to gay couples because Sapareto says to not do so and oppose it would be “intolerant”

The bill would put an exemption in state marriage law. The proposed text says no person, including a business owner or employee, should be required to provide services, accommodations, advantages, facilities, goods or privileges for wedding services in “violation of the person’s conscience or religious faith.” The bill also would protect against lawsuits arising from refusal to provide those services. Sapareto acknowledged the sponsors oppose gay marriage. “Our definition of marriage is heterosexual,” he said.

Once again the discriminator cries that he might be discriminated against for being a discriminator.

In New Hampshire where the slogan is “Live Free or Die” Rick Sanatorium is is having a constipatingly hard time of it as people are standing up and fighting back against the right wing extremist GOP candidate.

Yesterday in Keene, New Hamphire Roll Over Rover Rick Santorum was “gang heckled” by a group of mixed protestors which appeared to be “a combination of gay rights activists, Ron Paul supporters and Occupy Wall Street protesters.”

Santorum was continually interrupted by the  by hecklers, particularly one man who shouted every few minutes. “What about equality for the gays?” , after Santorum opened with a request for respect, “How much respect for you have for gay people, Rick!” the man shouted

Originally being from the Upper Eastern seaboard,  I am PROUD of the citizens of New Hampshire  for rolling out the unwelcome mat at Santorums’s every rest stop in the state. His extremist views may fly among the evangelical bigots of IA, the South and the Midwest but they won’t fly where sane people live and religious zealots are scarce, and NH is showing him that sweater vests and a milquetoast aura can’t disguise what a nasty little fucking Nazi Santorum really is.

This should be happening in EVERY STATE that Santorum and these evil disgusting cretins who want to ruin our world stop in.
