RNC Cancels Next GOP Debate After Crybaby Republican Candidates Complain About Tough Quesions

GOP Crybabies

Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus has canceled the next GOP Presidential debate with MSNBC scheduled February  claiming that NBC’s partner network CNBC asked questions that “weren’t fair”  to the Republican candidates.

I write to inform you that pending further discussion between the Republican National Committee (RNC) and our presidential campaigns, we are suspending the partnership with NBC News for the Republican primary debate at the University of Houston on February 26, 2016. The RNC’s sole role in the primary debate process is to ensure that our candidates are given a full and fair opportunity to lay out their vision for America’s future. We simply cannot continue with NBC without full consultation with our campaigns.

The CNBC network is one of your media properties, and its handling of the debate was conducted in bad faith. We understand that NBC does not exercise full editorial control over CNBC’s journalistic approach. However, the network is an arm of your organization, and we need to ensure there is not a repeat performance…

I have tremendous respect for the First Amendment and freedom of the press. However, I also expect the media to host a substantive debate on consequential issues important to Americans. CNBC did not.

Speaking Thursday in Colorado, Ben Carson decried the “gotcha” questions of the CNBC debate.

Marco Rubio used the debate to go after the “mainstream media” on FOX News of course. “I don’t think it’s atypical from what you see among most people in the mainstream media, which is privately they believe they’re smarter than the people running, and they can’t wait for their chance to show off in front of their buddies by asking some question they think is going to embarrass us, especially Republicans,” said Rubio.

But let’s be honest. Ben Carson brazenly lied about his disturbing ties to Mannatech, a nutritional-supplement company that’s paid millions to settle lawsuits about its fraudulent claims. Donald Trump lied when he said, “I was not at all critical” of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg for his efforts to advance comprehensive immigration reform and widen the H-1B visa program. Carly Fiorina lied when she claimed 92 percent of those who lost jobs in President Obama’s first term were women. Marco Rubio lied when he charged the media ignored evidence that Hillary Clinton was a “liar” at last week’s absurd Benghazi hearing.

This is the REAL reason why the GOP Presidential candidates are upset.

Because being busted in outright lies on national television is SO UNFAIR.

WSJ/NBC Poll Finds That Majority Of Americans Would Prefer Gay President Over A Religious Evangelical One

Gay Power

A new survey of 1,000 US adults, conducted in April for the Wall Street Journal and NBC News, found  that 61 percent of Americans would be enthusiastic about or comfortable with a gay or lesbian presidential candidate compared to only 52 percent that they would comfortable with an evangelical Christian running for president.

The survey of 1,000 US adults, conducted in April for the Wall Street Journal and NBC News, found 61 percent of Americans would be enthusiastic about or comfortable with a gay or lesbian presidential candidate. In comparison, 52 percent said they’d be enthusiastic about or comfortable with an evangelical Christian running for president.

This is an 18-point improvement for the gay or lesbian candidate: in 2006, 43 percent of Americans said they’d support a gay or lesbian person running for president. But the numbers for evangelical Christians have been roughly the same for years, rising from 41 percent since 2006 but hovering around 50 percent since 2008, according to previous polls from the Wall Street Journal and NBC News.

That big pop you just heard was Bryan Fischer of the American Family Association’s head exploding.  Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

NBC Erases Hellblazer John Constantine’s Bisexuality. Where Is The Outrage From The Bi Community?

Bi erasure

Last season NBC announced it was taking on DC Comics’ character the ever snarky and paranormal John Constantine, aka Hellblazer, into a new reboot and onto the small screen this season.  Will the TV version of John Constantine played by Matt Ryan be as bisexual and a chain smoker as he was is in the comics?

Of course not.

When asked about this at the Television Critics Association’s semi-annual press tour on Sunday July 13th,, executive producer Daniel Cerone ran down the “various editions” of the character that have existed since the demon fighter was introduced in 1985 to suggest his sexuality is not a crucial aspect of the character. “In those comic books, John Constantine aged in real time,” he said. “Within this tome of three decades [of comics] there might have been one or two issues where he’s seen getting out of bed with a man. So [maybe] 20 years from now? But there are no immediate plans.”

But here is the kicker on this story not only is Constantine bisexual but so is a female character named Zed.  Now will her sexuality be the same?   Is NBC erasing a male character’s bisexuality only to keep the female character bisexuality intact because its “sexy”? (And quite misogynist as well).  While there has been no word if the character Zed’s sexuality will arise, (keep an eye out) the character of  Constantine was a chain-smoker in the comics version which certainly was a crucial aspect of the character and NBC is erasing that as well.  For the show, producers say Constantine is a smoker … just don’t expect to actually see him smoking.   Producers say there’s not much they can do about this due to network content standards.  So the question is in NBC is “bisexuality” the same as “smoking”?

Now since this announcement I have attended a very popular conference where “bi-erasure” was a major issue with a few people where they would lecture all attending about it.  Constantly. (Even though the room itself was full of allies and it was pretty bi-noxious.) And what have we heard from our bi-activist about it?  NOTHING.  Here is a prime example of bi-erasure in the mainstream media no less and the most vocal (and pushy) of bi-activist are silent.  No storming the NBC castle, no petitions, no boycotts.  NOTHING.

Now if its one thing I loath its being preached too about being oppressed and erased.  But whats even worse is to be preached at by people who do nothing other than bitch about their problems and blame others instead of standing up and fighting for themselves when they see the real injustices done.

Now as a a “white gay male” who has suddenly become the oppressive bain of every other groups existence,  this whole erasing of John Constantine s sexuality believe it or not pisses me off beyond belief,  But what pisses me off more is the self appointed leaders of the bisexual community talking to a roomful of LGT allies. activists and journalist (and in the past in some cases crying hysterically) about how “bisexuals are being erased by the LGT community” and how “we never include them” when they themselves ignore the real enemy and the battles that they should be waging. Believe me your LGT allies know you are there because you are annoying as a spoiled child.

I have absolutely nothing against bisexuality.  And to quote Woody Allen its great and I’m kinda jealous that “you have twice as many chances for a date on Saturday night”. Do you thing, I don’t care.  I don’t judge. And I support your right to be bi-sexual.  But PLEASE don’t lecture me and other LGBT activist and blame us for your “bi-erasure” when you don’t even bother to stand up for yourselves against the people who actually do it you.

Fight your fight.  Don’t blame your allies.

Will & Grace To Return To Television? – Oy Vey or Yea?

Will & Grace

Safm.com’s Scoopla Screen is reporting that  Will & Grace (which some consider a cutting edge piece of prime time network LGBT programming while others blame it for harmful stereotyping) is returning to television for a a one off TV special.

The entire original cast (Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes) have all apparently agreed to come back and that. It will be filmed in the same lot that the original show was shot in. (WHAT! No Leslie Jordan?! GAY SACRILEGE!)

The 2006 series finale had Grace get back with her cheating ex-husband Leo, and had Will and Grace part ways long enough for both of them to have college-aged children before their reunion. (One of the Top Ten Worst Series Finales EVER!)

In May, Sean Hayes on Twitter denied that any of the stars had been contacted about a reunion show.

Should Will & Grace have a reunion show? Or should some books better off staying closed?

Will & Grace Reunion Special:  Oy Vey or Yea!?  Sound off!

Brendan Fehr & Luke MacFarlane To Play Gay Lovers On NBC’s New Drama “The Night Shift”

Luke McFarland

Brendan Fehr, best known for his work on  Roswell and in the unintentionally homo-erotic horror movie “The Forsaken” has signed on to the new NBC series The Night Shift!

From NBC.com

Welcome to the night shift, where the toughest and craziest cases always seem to come through the door. Every shift is a fight between the heroic efforts of saving lives and the hard truths of running an underfunded hospital.

Fehr will be playing the character of Drew a closeted gay, former Army soldier who served in Afghanistan who is now a doctor at San Antonio Memorial Hospital where the series takes place.

His character’s boyfriend is still fighting in Afghanistan and is on his way home–and he’s played by openly gay Brothers & Sisters star Luke MacFarlane (pictured above).

NBC Edits Out IOC Anti-Discrimination Mention From Televised Sochi Olympics Opening Ceremony

NBC edit IOC

Last night at the Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, opening ceremony IOC president Thomas Bach made a strong statement against “any form of discrimination” and in favor of tolerance. Viewers worldwide heard the statement; but NBC viewers in the U.S. did not, because the network edited it out.

Here’s a transcript of Bach’s speech from British TV. NBC edited out the bolded portion.

Good evening, dear Athletes. Mr president of the Russian Federation, Mr Secretary General of the United Nations, Good evening Olympic friends and fans around the world! Welcome to the 22nd Olympic Winter Games! Tonight, we are writing a new page in Olympic history. What has been achieved in seven years is a remarkable achievement. I would like it thank, in again, the president of the Russian Federation and his Government. The Sochi organizing committee. The Russian Olympic committee. And the IOC members in Russia. Thank you to all the workers for your great contribution under sometimes difficult circumstances. Thank you to all the people of Sochi and the Krasnodar region. Thank you for your patience, thank you for your understanding during these years of transformation.

Now you are living in an Olympic Region. I am sure you will enjoy the benefits for many, many years to come. Thousands of volunteers have welcomed us with the well-known warm Russian hospitality. Many thanks to all the wonderful volunteers. Bolshoi spasiba, valantyoram! Thank you very much to everyone. Russia and the Russians have set the stage for you, the best winter athletes on our planet. From this moment on you are not only the best athletes, you are Olympic Athletes. You will inspire us with your outstanding sports performances. You have come here for sports. You have come here with your Olympic dream. The International Olympic Committee wants your Olympic Dream to come true. This is why we are investing almost all of our revenues in the development of sports. The universal Olympic rules apply to each and every athlete- no matter where you come from or what your background is. You are living together in the Olympic Village. You will celebrate victory with dignity and accept defeat with dignity. You are bringing the Olympic Values to life. In this way, the Olympic Games, wherever they take place, set an example for a peaceful society. Olympic Sport unites people. This is the Olympic Message the athletes spread to the host country and to the whole world. Yes, it is possible to strive even for the greatest victory with respect for the dignity of your competitors. Yes, Yes, it is possible – even as competitors – to live together under one roof in harmony, with tolerance and without any form of discrimination for whatever reason. Yes, it is possible – even as competitors – to listen, to understand and to give an example for a peaceful society.

Olympic Games are always about building bridges to bring people together. Olympic Games are never about erecting walls to keep people apart. Olympic Games are a sports festival embracing human diversity in great unity. Therefore, I say to the political leaders of the world – thank you for supporting your athletes. They are the best ambassadors of your country. Please respect their Olympic Message of goodwill, of tolerance, of excellence and of peace. Have the courage to address your disagreements in a peaceful, direct political dialogue and not on the backs of the athletes. APPLAUSE To all sports officials and sports fans I say – join and support our fight for fair play, the athletes deserve it. To you – my fellow Olympic Athletes – I say, respect the rules, play fair, be clean, respect your fellow athletes in and out of competition. We all wish you joy in your Olympic effort and a wonderful Olympic experience. APPLAUSE To all of you – Athletes, Officials, Fans and Spectators around our globe – I say, enjoy the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games! And now I have the honour of inviting the president of the Russian Federation, Mister Vladimir Putin, to declare open the 22nd Olympic Winter Games.

We should have boycotted, plain and simple. But no.  We let the lily-livered powers that be in the LGBT community cop-out once again.  We even some in the gay community trot out the old chestnut, “but what about the athletes?” as if it’s an athletes right to be subsidized by the government and/or corporation in some bullshit sport and that outweighs the cost of another human beings life.

Last night was a televised validation of Putin and a celebration of his corruption and evil sponsored by Visa and Coca Cola and the spinelessness of NBC and America for not taking a stand.

The Overlooked Gay Subplots Of The Most Un-watched Show of the Television Season “Dracula”

Gay Dracula

While everyone was all excited and then yawning in tandem over HBO’s anticipated gay snoozefest “Looking”,  NBC’s low rated prime-time television series Dracula has been featuring not one, but two gay plot-lines this season.

Set in repressed Victorian England the shows created by Cole Haddon and starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers has shown an impressive appetite for the dynamics of sex both straight and gay.

The show spends as much time in the plush and elaborate manses of London’s elite as it does in the city’s underworld. When Dracula, living under the assumed identity of an American businessman named Alexander Grayson discovers that his competitor Lord Laurent (Anthony Howell) is having a closeted gay love affair with Daniel Davenport (Lewis Rainer), a business partner’s son, he finds out the location of the private gay club they frequent and shows up to threaten them with blackmail. Before he utters a word, though, Dracula walks up to Daniel and kisses him. “The kiss wasn’t scripted. That was a decision Jonathan Rhys Meyers made as an actor.”

Another gay subplot (and I use “gay” as all encompassing of LGBT) is  is the unrequited love Lucy Westenra (Katie McGrath) has for her best friend Mina. McGrath’s performance is both stunning and almost painful to watch because from the moment Lucy lovingly glances at Mina, it’s clear there’s no way she can win.

If you have a chance to catch “Dracula” on Hulu or Netflix give it a chance.  There may not be any park setting handjobs (THANK GOD) but with Jonathan Rhys Meyers shirtless, hot Victorian era men gay sex and even some female wresting thrown in it just shows how badly Looking sucks.

Ice Queen Johnny Weir: The Gay Community Hates Me So Much! – (Ya Think?)

Johnny Queer

“I’ve come under so much hate and scrutiny from within my own LGBT community for my views on the Olympics. But as somebody who watched my parents sacrifice everything so that I had at least one chance of making the Olympics, I could never boycott the Olympics whether they be in Pyongyang (in North Korea), in Uganda, in Iran or Mars. I would have competed there because my whole life has been about going to the Olympics. Being gay isn’t something that I chose, being gay is something I was born into. But being an Olympic athlete was something that I chose and something I worked hard for and I’ll see it to any necessary end. The entire Olympic team is not made up of LGBT people. It’s people who’ve sacrificed their livelihoods, it’s people who’ve sacrificed their parents’ finances and health and sometimes even marriages to get that one chance at glory. As an athlete who’s lived it, I could never turn my face to that. While equality is necessary all over the world, the Olympics is not the place for me to make a stand.”– Johnny Weir,

Boo-fucking-hoo! It is NOT your LBQT community, traitor.

And as for “I could never boycott the Olympics whether they be in… Mars.”  Of course you couldn’t Johnny.  You’d have to pull your head out of your Uranus first.

Johnny Weir is nothing more than an amoral, self-centered, selfish, shallow little monster who deserves a fierce bitch slapping.

Any volunteers?

Bob Costas Vows NBC Won’t Ignore Russia’s Anti-Gay Laws During Olympics Coverage

Bob Costas

NBC Sports anchor and longtime Olympic coverage host Bob Costas yesterday vowed to the LGBT community that his network will not ignore Russia’s anti-gay laws during their coverage of the Sochi Olympics.

“If Putin doesn’t drag his butt into the studio, then we’ll talk about it without him,” Costas said during an Olympics press preview. “But if he shows up, we’d rather talk to him. Wouldn’t you rather hear it from the horse’s mouth?  I would. That’s what I was trying to say.” At the press event in Studio 8H of “Saturday Night Live” fame, NBC executives expressed how significant the world sports spectacle is for the entertainment and media conglomerate. NBC Universal chief Steve Burke went as far as to say, “The soul of this company is the Olympics.”

Costas and network executives on Tuesday stressed that NBC News plans to address political and social issues relevant to the games.

NBC lost $223 million on the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver, Canada, but the company has said it expects to turn a profit this time around based on strong advertising sales for the 18 days of competition beginning Feb. 7

And personally don’t give a damn about NBC’s profits and losses or about the athletes “Olympic Dreams.” That seems to be the prevailing excuse from the athletes on why they feel it is important to attend the Sochi Games . . . their hard work, their “Olympic Dreams.”

Apparently whatever intelligence or empathy athletes possess presides purely in their muscles, and their tiny-tiny imaginations, and their pathetic dreams, when they think a few moments of glory and attention, and a piece of scrap metal is more important than human rights and Russia’s persecution of the LGBT community which is beginning to mirror that of Nazi Germany

There could be no games if the athletes refused to participate. This was an opportunity for the athletes and NBC to challenge and speak out loudly against decades of IOC hypocrisy and veto their choice of venue. But they remained silent and have instead opted for shallow excuses.

The shame of America’s athletes and NBC’s greed will not be forgotten.

Why The Blackout Of TV Coverage Of Same Sex Marriage At The Rose Bowl Parade?

Gay Marriage Rose Parade

On New Year’s Day Aubrey Loots and Danny Leclair became the first gay couple married atop the AIDS Healthcare Foundation float in the Tournament of Roses Parade.  But none of the millions of television viewers who watch the parade in over one hundred countries were able to see it due to every television station ignoring it.

So called “christians” wept and gnashed their teeth in the days leading up to the wedding.  But as the marriage took place hundreds of pectators cheered, providing a mass affirmation for the couple, but not everyone present was supportive of the couples marriage or of the lgbt community.

Several television stations filming the parade cut away from the float, major stations like NBC, ABC.  And even those cutie Canadian twins  Drew and Jonathan Scott of HGTV’s  Property Brothers who were covering the parade for the channel talked about the float itself, but did not mention the historic moment that had taken place just minutes before

None of the television stations have given any reason as to why they cut away or didn’t announce the couples marriage and they won’t unless we ask them.

Contact NBCABC, and HGTV, via Twitter and ask them why they ignored a historical event in LGBT history.
